    1. That’sThat’s thing tho, his son is part of the that makes the music. Of course people expect standard and quality. They need to treating Hip Hop souly as a money hustle and get back to the art form. Besides, the so called old heads were young once too, but still had creativity and skills to still rock with the old heads and the old heads could still pass the torch with out being made a mockery of or disrespected. Not the case today.

      1. You gotta look out for the little tikes too bruh. They don’t deserve to have to listen to this either fam

    2. Music is MUSIC….banging on ur table is music, clapping is music Why is there so much hate Lol Who gives a fuck u dont like it dont listen to it change the radio station or put on a new track. One mans trash is another mans treasure and same with music there are plenty of artists with messages like J Cole Kendrick etc. We have the internet u can listen too anything u want. The Hate needs too stop

    3. The argument between old head and new head never touches upon the fact that the “New Heads” today have the Internet. Old heads had to put in work and produce quality shit. The Internet opened the floodgate for fuck boyz and girls to come in and do whatever the fuck they want and disrespect the culture and its’ listeners. They just chalk it up to the Old heads hating and not trying to let new niggaz shine. Get the fuck outta here you bitch ass niggaz.

    4. I’m not even gonna watch the video. Nigga trying to grow his hair like his son or the Weeknd, young Eddie Murphy looking mothafucka. It should be a general rule for a father to school his son on history, he just happy bc he’s getting his son’s money smh.

    5. This is Bull shit I’m 21 and I know countless PAC and Biggie songs, if your not a hip hop fan, and your young that makes sense, but these new rappers just disrespecting the culture smh

    6. pac n big died when they was 24-25 tho.. not old heads… being young aint no fuckin excuse for being wack nigga.

      1. What relevance is it how old they were when they died, it was 20 years ago, so the original core audience is in they 40s now.

        1. Theyre both dead, no new raps, no new fans, no new music for old fans. What they been doing they were doing 20 years ago, so these 40 year olds were in their 20s back then, and still bumping that old shit that was made for them when they were in their 20s just like pac and biggie.

        2. damn u totally missed the entire point my guy. the point is.. they made timeless music in their 20’s and people obviously didn’t like it because they were old heads because like you said, the fans were in their 20’s and the artists themselves were also in their 20’s it’s not about just being young at the time, it’s about creating something timeless, their music will be played long after they are gone, most of these new guys wont even be around next year musically. and that’s facts lil homie.

    7. I could give AF about these ‘ It’s us now ‘ nicas, jus be dope, rappers always respected their roots, until now, #Facts

    8. This interview was dope since even Yachty’s dad acknowledged that he doesn’t necessarily like the music his son makes but he supports him regardless – like a real dad is supposed to. I’m not a fan of Yachtt’s stuff at all but hey – we have the internet and we can get all types of dope rap if we want – form the Oddisees to the Aesop Rocks to the Joey Bada$$ to the Dave Easts to Krit and so many other dudes. Instead of hating on the kid we can just make sure that our preferred artists get the shine they deserve by buying music and attending shows. Respect to Yachty’s dad for this.

    9. Irony. So basically, Yachty doesn’t need to respect his Father because he is an ‘old head’ right? I am betting that is NOT the case, because the idea of parenting is to instill your life lessons and experience into your child. The same shit applies to Hip Hop jackass. If your son is to respect you, the principle should apply in everything he does… He doesn’t have to like the music of the past, but the constant and blatant attempts to always talk shit about it and the artists that did pioneer what you decided to jump into to just make money and nothing else should be respected, or you should do something else for a living.

    10. The problem is he hasn’t checked his own son. They even asked him and he said he gave up on trying to school his son the previous generation. I disagree w his take. Had he taught his son to be respectful some of the old heads might back off but these young nigs is mad ignorant and act like if it ain’t their current non sense it ain’t ish. That’s like Swaggy P not showing respect to MJ or Magic or Bird type thing. Even in basketball the “old heads” disagree with todays stars for a lot of things, but the new era of players still show major respect
