Durham, North Carolina rapper Mark Steele took some time to pen an introspective narrative on his rap dreams and all that he’s been through on his journey titled “Big Dreams.”

As he raps about the regret he felt spending his first big rap check on a “new whip” and confessing how much his grandmother’s death wrecked him, the young spitter shows endless signs of maturity.

Steele’s new album Almost Time is scheduled to drop on October 28 and reportedly features guest spots from Raheem Devaughn, King Mez, and Rapper Big Pooh. Lead single, “Real One,” was released in August.

As a former member of North Carolina duo Mic&Rep, Steele has collaborated with his mentor and former college professor 9th Wonder as well as Rapsody and Cory Gunz.
