HipHopDX Exclusive Premiere: Maryland-based rapper J. Tek drops off his fanmade visual “Tell Me More” with HipHopDX.

The visual features a montage of footage pieced together featuring old school Hip Hop footage. As for how the idea behind the making of this video came about, J. Tek explains.

“When I was writing the track, I really wanted to spread hope for Hip Hop as a culture and for our youth,” J. Tek says to HipHopDX in an email. “As a culture and in this industry, we sometimes get blinded by the glitz and glamour. I wanted to spread the message of telling more than just the superficial outline of life.

The concept of the video was to allow a fan to come up with a visual that they thought fit the lyrics. My fans really support me, so I love to have them a part of the process. After that, we shot the intro and outro based around the fan made video. It was something different and having that fan interaction and creativity means a lot.”
