Maxo Kream is a young emerging rapper whose jovial demeanor belies a gritty backstory growing up in Houston. His distinct sound and persona have earned him praise by Passion of the Weiss as “Houston’s Savior.”
Taking inspiration from the movie Friday, Maxo Kream releases a colorful video for “Big Worm.” The Houston-based rapper commandeers an ice cream truck and invites all of his cohorts to join in on the fun. The Nassacre-directed video pays homage to the classic movie, but also brings Houston flavor with obvious references to promethazine. “Big Worm,” a grime-influenced record that was co-signed by Skepta, will appear on Maxo Kream’s forthcoming project, “The Persona Tape.”
