im sorry. i do like kendrick and still dig his music and will continue to but deep down, u kendrick stans must admit this is worst sell out move ever. its hard to keep heralding him as Drake’s nemesis representing “real hiphop” after this. the video is well-done/cool for a total pop star but this could go down as the biggest sell-out cheesiest move ever. i mean, doing a track lady-gaga, justin beiber or say madonna is one thing but id say still a little forgivable,but this is like the worst ive ever seen for a prominent hiphop artists. i mean, its total cornball pop cheese. even jay-z or drake wouldnt pull some crap like this. i mean, there are some rules to this hiphop shit. this is kiddie music. still respect kendrick but dude, ur fane-base is shaking their heads in embarassment
You don’t know a damn thing about music or what a “sellout” is. A feature on a pop track ain’t selling out at all. Especially nowadays when pop has so much hip hop influence. Not to mention Taylor Swift is a big fan of Kendricks music. And then you had him saying he liked one of her songs. Everyone knew this collab was happening. We could see it from a mile away. And he laid 2 solid verses. That’s not called selling out. That’s called doing a feature.
