    1. The positivity in this song is reminiscent of some of Tupac’s songs like “keep your head up”

Kendrick is a legend in the making. Looks like he is about to come up with another classic!

The video is amazing by the way. And the song really grows on you.

      1. Keep your head up is a good song. This is a garbage song. Just because it’s “positive” doesn’t mean it’s good.

      2. why don’t u actually give reasons why this song sucks, instead of just merely asserting that “its garbage”

      3. Garbage might be taking it a little far but come on, Tupac-keep your head up?? Ba ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Yall are gassed up. Kendrick is a nice MC, the best new comer since Lupe and he has done the right things so far like not selling out too hard by not juice’n a lady gaga feature or jumping on a bunch of pop songs. But he still has a catalog to build and is not within a drone missiles range of what n*ggas on the internet hype him up to be.

    2. Good to see so many beautiful black women in a video. And not just biracial and white or white-ish looking women for a change.

    3. This song is sooooo corny. That voice he’s rapping in and the way he says the chorus sounds like a frog or something.

      1. It did sound like flying lotus, but i think the production came from Thundercat, but the ending sounds a lot like flying lotus, similar to what he just did with k.dot.

    4. This is the reason this kid will crossover and become a superstar, yall still wanna hear the same ole Dope and bling songs that amount to nothing, this is why TNT chose this as the theme for their NBA broadcasts, if you cant get this song, you just dont get it period.

    5. the song is decent, but i’m not too crazy about the vocal effects, and at times he sounds awkward rapping over the isley bros sample. it seems like the song will be part of yet another concept album, where the theme of the song with make much more sense within context of the entire album (which i hope will be just as good, if not better, than good kid, maad city). with that being said, this music video definitely makes me appreciate the song a little more.

    6. Good to see some positivity in this sea of fuckery called mainstream hip hop, but not really feeling the beat or his vocal effects on this one. Guess he was channeling his inner Native Tongues vibe on this one. But for the spirit and bringing some diversity to the mainstream he can get a 3 out 5.

      1. He is the best artist out, but that doesn’t mean he’s dope, it just means hiphop fucking sucks right now. lol

      2. Ha Ha HA, Best Artist out? Are you Captain Obvious? How many platinum hip hop albums this year? ZERO. He is not up against any competition. Saying he’s the best isn’t saying Much.

    7. Like Q Tip said on Busta’s track, ” This shit is all stretched out and Nasty.” in reference to current state of hip hop and the turnip heads moving units today. Son is Aight, 2.5 Mics material.

    8. let them haters hate and watch the money pile up….I love myself…reason why NBA chose this song is because is not about violence etc….unlike HOT NIGGA fake as shmurda..

    9. This song is a breath of fresh air. It’s different. The beat is funky and dope. The message is great. His lyrics are still tight. his flow is contagious. it’s positive. it doesn’t have to be HARD to be Great!

Reading a bunch of these posts makes me wonder what the same people thought about Andre 3000 when he dropped ‘Hey Ya’ and ‘Roses’ and the whole (now classic) ‘The Love Below’. they probably all said ‘sold out bla bla bla’ but was and is still referred to as one of the best to ever do it and we are BEGGING for another album.

People need to stop living in their past.
‘i’ is a celebration of SELF.

    10. plain and simple. if you can’t let an artist grow and appreciate their growth and movement…especially a movement of peace… get out of their way. “Peace to the fashion police, i wear my heart.”

    11. This song is overrated. The lyrics are good, but his voice is trash combined with his usual robotic delivery and the hook is mediocre.

      1. Are you serious ? You gotta be another Bobby SHMURDA fan. Stupid. How about you record your own song and we’ll see what you come up with.

      2. How is Kendrick sounding like a midget on helium dope? The standards today are so low. People acting like this is the first song ever made with a positive message. There are much better positive songs out there that aren’t getting the attention they deserve. And Sorry, I don’t even know who Bobby Schmurda is.

    12. I don’t know how anyone can be a Kendrick fan and not be disappointed. This is the guy who did ADHD and Cartoons & Cereal. He is clearly brilliant but he churns out this lazy pop song with a video which kind of looks like he is pretending to be someone else. It feels like his ego is out of control. Its not worst song in the world but the video make it feel like your at a fancy looking restaurant with average food. With Kendrick you expect quality. You can hate on Drake but when he drops a single – its fire, its innovative, it bangs. This feels like when Wu-Tang dropped 8 diagrams. Hope it is not a reflection of his new album.

    13. I fux with Kendrick but for anyone who is a fan of Kendrick to say this is dope is straight dickriding. Although I can respect dude for zigging when everybody else zags but this shit is straight booboo.

    14. fam, asap rocky a clever ass nigga ! in fuckin problems he got 2 chainz, kendrick and drake… nigga that South, West and North, and rocky a east coast nigga so he cover all directions thats poppin

      1. He dont cover the midwest though, and if you cant do that you dont deserve respect from any other coast. This the middle of the country this is the important shit.

    15. my best friend’s half-sister makes $78 /hr on the laptop . She has been fired from work for five months but last month her paycheck was $14348 just working on the laptop for a few hours. you can try this out ….

    16. I love it.

No bragging, No fancy car, No fancy chain, no model chick half naked, no yacht needed in the making of this track or video.

    17. Simple video but deep massage, this is what hip hop is all about Kindrick is the best thing in hip hop right now, hate all you want but He is dope

    18. This song is dope , Kendrick brings life back into hip hop
if it wasn’t for him it would be dead . This song and video is dope . Geeeaaaaaaah like MC Eiht says WAKE YO PUNK ASS UP
IT AINT NOTHING BUT A COMPTON THANG

    19. clearly Kendrick is ready to reach new heights and touch other genres. I respect that he choses to be different. What if w.i.l.l.i.a.m pharell kanye or Andre 3000 chose to make stereotypical music. They would have never been as good as they are. Hip Hop needs more records like this. More rappers should be inspired to make tracks like this.Very good move strategically as well.
