    1. where the fux Premo??

And Q is a joke.. Nigga quits smoking but he still rapping bout it like it’s all he know

Wasn’t super impressed by anyone, kdot did good but they gave him the longest slot on purpose so it helped. Soul got some slick lines in there at the end and Rock was alright.

Dunno wtf the other nigga was be fuck was he doing with his body?? lol

    2. This is all precious, but hip hop as an establishment needs to take a valium and sink into the warm fuzzy truth of the matter: EMINEM IS THE GREATEST ALIVE. No one on the planet can fuck with Rap God. No one. Its over. Jay is done. Kdot’s done. Mos is done. 50, Kanye, Cole, all of em. DONE. Accept it, bitches. I dont even listen to Em and I can admit it. Get it through your fuckin heads.

      1. Best alive?HAHAHHAHA.Tell that to that wack ass berzerk shit.Em’s BEEN done since like 02-03ish.He’s just mainstream riding the waive of white kids who don’t know shit about hip-hop.It’s the only reason he’s relevant, and he’s really not.

      2. eminem is pretty bad ass kendrick is switching to mainstream too they all do it its all fake none are real they are just foos that can rhyme thats their hustle.
rap god is better then thi thou

      3. The fact that you talked about valium in the first place shows that you are an Em fan cause only an Em fan would use that kind of reference. And as for your claim, Rap God is just fast, extremely technical rapping with no soul or punch to it at all. Shit proves Eminem knows how to rap, cool, but can he make a good song anymore? The answer’s no.

    3. man this is bunk!.. Q need to get some jeans that fits his fat ass… KL hangs with other wack rappers so he looks half decent… this is a disappointment eventho I didn’t have my hopes up…

      1. Take your goon ass on YouTube and keep watching your favorite swag rapper bury hip hop deeper in a ditch, you too busy playing out the singles to understand what Dot and TDE doing to reform the industry

    4. This was dope as fuck all artists here killed it, fuck you Swimming Pool fans hyping Kendrick up saying Q was wack and Soul is overrated, this was dope as fuck just enjoy TDE as a whole.

    5. Why are these “cyphers” considered freestyles when they are written? Why does everybody think that kendrick’s control verse was an amazing diss when he just named names. why do all new york rappers sound like they are from the mid west or south. Either a lot of people dont know actual hip hop or the wool is extra thick over a lot of peoples eyes…

      1. Ayo, cyphers ain’t just freestyles b, and the point of K.Dot’s Control verse wasn’t bout dissing, it was about putting a spark in the game and lightin a fire under some other dudes to get them to put in some work. As for your New York problem, that could be answered in a whole lotta different ways and people got all they own little opinions on the matter. Either way the stuff you brought up ain’t proof at all that people are sheep

    6. As an accountant for Game and Black Wall Street, I can confirm that each of his albums are really platinum. The last two albums he released RED and Jesus piece went gold within the first Month. and a couple months after they were certified platinum. However this was not published due to many of his sales were unaccounted for. Many other rappers do not actually go platinum as there sales have been overaccounted like 50 cent, Eminem and Kanye.

    7. Drake would body all of them in a cypher or in the streets. Whether it’s 16 bars or 16 rounds, Drake would murder them, and then proceed to sing a mean victory hook after. TDE niggas ain’t bout that uptown mob life!

      OVO bitches!

      1. hahahaha yea that uptown toronto wheelchair jimmy mob life. the fuck outta here, cupcake drake would get bodied. if drake ran rap you wouldnt even have to say it. NEXT.

      1. Drake all day, bruh. There’s only one sensitive rapper who has an album out called NWTS. He did call Papoose an opportunist though.

    8. idgaf he dissed every hip-hop artist..”got my thumb on hip-hop and my foot in the back of yo ass” king kendrick!!!!!!!!

      1. Yo, I love Kendrick’s music in general…but dudes need to stop saying he’s dissing people left and right, cause he ain’t….the only real diss in here was to the master of taking L’s: Papoose

      2. DaMamba: exactly. he’s not “dissing” people. slowly but surely, K.Dot is bringing competition back into the game. every rapper is watching his every move and they all know they have to bring their best now otherwise Kendrick is gonna put “his foot in the back of yo ass.”

    9. As a young money groupie bitch with no accounting skills, I can confirm that I am doing nothing with my life. I am a bitch nigga with no skills no life and no friends. I actually tried to rape lil chuckee because i am gay pedophile.

    10. Most TDE track involving JAYROCK , he always killed it the most ..Kendrick Lamar aint even king of his label , how can he be king of RAP !!!!

    11. So many hators on HIPHOPDX.com its annoying. Just enjoy the music, ignore the politics. These bloggers and Key Board thugs make this site look bad. how about we chill with the shit talking and actually comment on the music. Rate it, and on to the next. STFU with the hate!

With that being said #HiiiPower S/O to TDE. Classic cypher!

    12. Fuck all Ya’ll haters who b hating on Kendrick… After hearing his verse der, u cant tell me he not one of the GOAT!!! PERIOD

    13. I love Kendrick and them other TDE cats but this cypher was pretty pedestrian. In fact, Kendrick saved it from being a snooze fest, and his bars were even kinda lazy to me. I’m pretty surprised by rating it’s getting because nobody was ill besides Kendrick.

      1. I still don’t think that was aimed at Drake. It was aimed at every sensitive rapper that took his Control verse personally. I mean he didn’t even say “nothing was the same”, he said “nothing’s been the same”.

      1. That’s because he would have to fight the urge of singing some Aaliyah lyrics.

Emm though lyrically, he’s better than Kendrick because HE MAKES SENSE WHEN HE DECIDES TO RAP.

    14. Yo anyone else notice how Kendrick is constantly changing positions when the camera shots change? Whats the deal

    15. Yeah we get it, you on Kendricks nuts – but seriously tho – 41 seconds then 52, 1:04, 1:08… professor x better scoop this dude up

    16. If that Kendrick verse didn’t just give you goosebumps, then you’re just some little drake-loving ass bitch.

    17. Is there any way to get a dirty version of this, it fuckign sucks that we cant hear kendrics verse properly.

    18. Is there any way to get a dirty version of this, it fuckign sucks that we cant hear kendrics verse properly. says:

Can somebody tell me if there any way to get a dirty version of this, it fuckign sucks that we cant hear kendrics verse properly.

    19. Kendrick is becoming what Eminem used to be in guest features lol

he’s a monster, but humble, proud to see him flourish

    20. Kendrick has adopted a west coast version of the Nas flow. Which means 90% of his lyrics don’t really make sense and aren’t coherent ….But it sounds deep as long as you sound passionate.

And he did. He sounded more passionate than a Preacher after a payday.

      1. Are you high? 90% of Nas lyrics don’t make sense? Maybe because you cannot comprehend them or maybe he needs to dumb it down for you. Kendrick raps makes sense but your to broke to pay attention. You’ll miss that part too!

    21. With that being said, Drake was watching the Cypher in pajamas while sitting Indian style on the floor with a big bowl of orange shubert.

    22. I like Kendrick’s lyrics, but I’m still not a big fan of his delivery. Everything is always rapid fire with him. I prefer the more laid back approach of Jay Rock and Ab Soul on this.

      1. Agree that Kendrick can be repetitive in his delivery but on this beat, the grimy flow is better IMO like Crooked did on Funk Flex.

    23. Kendrick is koo… but lets not over-hype this nigga too much cuz, being real, he’s not even on Game’s level. To be King, you gotta go through niggas, AND you need at least 2 Classic albums!

      1. True he’s not the king yet. But he can’t go through anyone if they’re not challenging him. We’ll see what his next album brings but until then, he’s making the most noise in the game right now.

      2. he’s not on Game’s level? Game could never rap as well as Kendrick can, and on the song The City Game got merked by Kendrick. It’s ok to say he’s not a legend yet, because he isn’t, but to say he’s not better at raping than Game is a lie

      3. He’s got two albums that are already as good as or better than anything Game has put out. He gave Game props in Black Boy Fly, but in my opinion past him as far as all time relevance goes.

      1. Cocky? If you got the skills why not? I could understand if he didn’t have the ability that he has. But you can’t really say shit if he the best rapper right now.

    24. Shook Ones beat is crying out for a grimy flow like Crooked I’s freestyle. Glad Kendrick brought the passion on this one. He ain’t backing down so who’s gonna challenge him?

    25. My boi Rashad putting up! 2nd best verse on that song behing kendrick’s. Thought he was going be big time but i had nothing to compare him to, but now with all of them on the same song i can make comparisons and when he figures it out and finished developing he will be big, probably not as big as kendrick because kendrick will be legendary, he like the new kobe bryant of rap, drake is like the lebron. only thing is all rap cares about are the last 2 minutes of the game so kendrick way above drake. Now that i can see the rest of TDE on the song with isaiah i can say he already sounds way better than 3 of them though and that aint small time.

    26. EVEN THOUGH DRAKE IS RIGHT ABOUT BEING SUPERIOR ON ALL PLATFORMS COMPARED TO THAT DWARF, I AINT GONNA FRONT THIS SHIT WAS POPPIN BOO. REAL RECOGNIZE REAL

    27. I grew up on 90’s hip hop. Kendrick is new school but his shit is aggressive like that era. You had to be cocky in the cypher. No blackberry or notepads. Why do think all the greats came from that time? Big, Nas, Jay, Em, Black Thought, Pac. That’s why everyone after them studied them.

    28. Did kendrick just really say “I’m a master that masturbated on your favorite emcee…”

That shit just sounded weird to me.

      1. its actually a double meaning.him masturbating is the control song and then all the reponse songs that came was the game tryin to assinate him. that y he say your either corny or an opportunist, cuz you were one of the 2 if you made a response to his control verse.

    29. Kendrick can rightfully claim it! its dumb to deny his the stir in the flow everybody even action Bieber got blown by the wind…

    30. I also grew up listening to Nas ,big pun, wu, b real and gangstarr . Coming from the Chi u also witnessed awesome lyrics and flows coming from Twista and Common. as I got older and hip hop evolved the artist representing haven’t touched my soul like krit said. In the last 10 yrs there has been very few artist that have made a mark in the music with making consistent original banging music like the artist did back from 90-00. With that being said TDE is the first crew in awhile that has already put a stamp on hip hop without really being noticed. Kendrick the only one that has gotten the spotlight. AB-Soul’s Control system is a great album this dude is mad underrated and then I copped Q’s habits and contradictions and that was just as dope. I put those albums up there with the good kid mad city album. BLACK HIPPY is the realest illest crew and they bout to end some of these clowns crappers careers. This was the best cypher of the show hands down
