One of the most coveted and rarest Jordan collabs to date. That’s the Em/Jordan shoe y’all should’ve shown. But other than that, love the material. One thing I love about Nike is the brand stays true to the athlete, and don’t have to sign sneaker deals with rappers to stay a float (Adidas, reebok, puma)
What you have to not forget, back in the day it wasn’t rappers setting trends with sneakers and clothing, or even gold…. It was the drug dealers and hustlers on the block sporting all that shit,….

The fact that Jordans were able to sustain large success throughout trendy behavior of hip hop says hip hop had little influence on the brand. Jordan is a generational sneaker that is a status symbol for parents and their children. The only other sneaker that maintains success regardless of generation is the Chuck Taylor. The Jordan Brand also has endorsement deals with very high caliber athletes making the shoe in high demand for fans across multiple sports and not just in basketball. Hip Hop’s influence on the Jordan sneaker really is minor.
