It’s dope in a local-sounding way. I don’t mean that as a backhanded compliment. It’s good to hear rap songs that aren’t overdone with all kinds of lasers and explosions and bullhorns and shit. This is just an original beat with rhymes on it, about life.
I think the song is dope.. I’ve been following this artist for the last few years and can really see the progression in his music… The song speaks for itself.. “LET EM TALK” is just the beginning of what Typ-iLL stands for and has plenty more to come.. I think he’s laying the ground work for his next project that is going reveal more about this artist/Soldier that not many people get to see behind the curtain.. Personally I would rather listen to something real with some depth rather then whip and nae nae shit.. Ok cool it sounds catchy but there is a story to be told and can’t wait to hear the rest…
Hip Hop isn’t dead after all. So many times you hear songs on the radio that just turn you off to rap. This shit just makes you wanna turn that shit up! The lyrics are real and so is the vibe when you listen to it. Definitely something you should put on your playlist.
