    1. All this “Bring NY Hip Hop Back” ish, these dudes have consistently put out the same sound for Decades. This is HOT!.. Album gonna be Fire! Buy it! Velt Tough!

    2. An okay song, but it just doesn’t move me. The rapping is on point, the beat is decent, but I feel like Mobb Deep, as well as many other older rappers (Jay-Z, Eminem, LL) have nothing left to say. How many times are you going to make this song? The time has come for a lot of these rappers to leave the game and just live off of tours. Why do they feel the need to keep making dumbed down rehashes of their own songs? They’re ruining their legacy with this mediocrity. I’m not impressed

      1. The older dudes have nothing left to say? & The new ones ? LMAO—if anything n******gg****@ please go back to your country rap

      2. Not Impressed, I completely agree. Just do tours and forget about making mediocre music. Some fools just don’t know when to quit. The Mobb really haven’t dropped a classic track since the “Quiet Storm” track and I definitely think they ruining their legacy a little by releasing weak music. They should have stopped making music after they dropped the horrible “Infamy” album.

      3. Yep and all these new commercial rappers are really changing the landscape with there thought provoking music …GTFO

Minus a few namely Kendrick,Cole,J Connor the new breed of rappers are boring and as fuck ..

        ASAP Rocky = snooze time
Scholboy Q = The media and hipsters new flavour of the month

If you are looking for good rap/hiphop that shit isn’t be played on commercial radio or for that matter on sites like these which are geared towards clicks and increased ad revenue

      4. LOL..So lets say that all the older dudes retired right now and we was never to hear another song or album from any of the below

        Nas
        Jay Z
        Kanye West
        Wu Tang
        Eminem
        50 Cent
Jay Electronica …I know doesn’t drop much but he still
        Talib Kwaeli
        Lupe Fiasco..32
Officer Ricky …Not a fan but will throw him in anyway
        Big Boi
Jada Kiss…I know his full albums never match his talent
        Andre
        Styles P
        Slaughter House

Please give me a list of the new rappers who would create a buzz like the above mentioned if they was to drop an album..

Give me a similar list of under 30 year old rappers whose rap game or creatively/quality would be on a par with the above list … Not just Kendrick or Cole

Lets be real the younger generation of rappers haven’t really grabbed the baton and pushed hip hop forward

@ I’m not impressed i get the feeling your white ..But why is hip hop the only genre that has a sell by date ?

Rock doesn’t house music doesn’t . Please don’t say it’s because it’s street music that card died out in the mid to late 90s

Face facts once a lot of the older heads officially leave hip hop will be on a slippery slope to nowhere and will end up just becoming a fad fused with electronic dance music

P.S,This song is weak and prodigy’s subject matter is boring as fuck

      5. ^ Dont agree with your P analogy he is still making some dope music with Alchemist .

But yes once a lot of the older heads Jay Nas etc retire hip hop will be in a sorry state and will end up more or less merging with dance music EDM/techno

      6. Well S:P I don’t agree with u when u say hip hop would be in bad or rather a terrible state if those MC’S where to retire( though off cause we would miss them). Mainstream hip hop would lose its back bone( since respected legends would stop dropping projects) but the back bone of REAL hip hop which is underground( in my opinion)hip hop would remain same and unshaken. There are amazing MC’s out there which would out rap Cole or K dot but people are so into mainstream hip hop that they don’t go out there and discover new rappers but instead rely on BET or MTV to give them or recommend new rappers most of which tend to be garbage.

      7. The problem is people like you who bitch about all these whack new rappers. Nobody is forcing you to hear them. Who gives a fuck if they’re popular listen to what YOU like. Nobody forces these “shitty” rappers down your throat and makes you check their music. YOU are the problem with hip-hop by being a negative fuck instead of just listening to what fits your taste you’d rather bitch about what doesn’t

      8. @ Mike and the misinformed dude above you all like to talk about underground rappers but you fail to understand that hip hop is a money making cash cow .

Commercial hip hop would not lose it’s (backbone) because commercial radio is not sitting around waiting for Nas or Scarface to drop a new album …

I’s business they will just repackage the genre (i.e EDM) for example

@ The slow minded anonymous dude above where the fuck did I say anything about not supporting underground hip hop .

Learn to fucking comprehend words idiot !

I was talking particularly to (Not Impressed) in regards to his view that most of the old heads need to stop releasing new music !

You all seem to forget that those underground rappers need to eat and if their not getting the publicity or marketing they cant eat .

Back to my main “POINT” i stand by my view that most of the new rappers i.e with record label backing and promotion haven’t stepped up to the plate and moved the genre forward

      1. There’s nothing “classic” about this track, you fool. It’s probably time to up your standards.

      2. Thius is classic music! what are your standards? Drake? Minaj? tell the wold what the ”best hip hop” is, stupid BITCH!!!!

    3. There is something very wrong with hip hop when people turn there back on legends like Mobb Deep… and call this wack???? This is the hottest Mobb Deep song in years….. this is real ish…
This aint holly grail… this aint mmlp2 sell out wack shit…
Stay true to youre skool…. Mobb Deep is for life P is forever…

      1. Sometimes legends become wack to with repetive lyrics, beats and flows. FACE IT even a Rolling Stones album suck in 2014 and they are really legends! So why listen to Mobb Deep in 2014? They are 42 years old and talk about coke and guns. Really?????? Thats shit for teenager!

    4. This shit is dope, most ”hiphoppers” lissen to 2chainz, drake for 2 years and than go to another genre of music, real hip hop heads love this music and say fuck the mainstream!

    5. All the new rappers sucks! not because they are new rappers, THE MUSIC SUCKS! there is NO new talent these days!

    6. STFU U LITTLE PUSSY ASS BITCHES. MOBB GIVING YOU 10 RELEASED TRACKS FROM THE 90’S EYE FOR AN EYE FT. GFK. YOU DON’T HAVE THAT SONG BTCH. IF YOU A REAL MOBB FAN U DON’T GOT THAT SON. DL THE ALBUM.

    7. This is an open letter to all you hipsters who talk underground this underground that

      Dear Hipsters,

I understand that you have an undying love and respect for the underground rappers from your home state .

Thats loyalty, and I believe that is important…but you need to shut your mouth for the rest of time.

I mean honestly where the fuck do you get off? If I bring up one of my favorite rappers, and you trump in by saying Prof, or Brother Ali is better than him, you are the dumbest person on the planet.

Look, I understand that there is a divide between Mainstream and Underground hip-hop, and listeners of either side rarely blend over to the other side, but this stuff needs to stop.

There is a main difference between being able to rap, and making good music. Sure, maybe your favorite underground rapper has the best flow ever, and can rap with unmatched passion for lyricism, but thats only half the battle.

There is a main reason why your rappers stay underground and why others reach the masses–they just arent putting together a good product.

some rappers say that the industry is bullshit and dont want to be held down creatively by suits that dont know the culture.

It isnt that they dont want to be signed to a big record company, its that they cant.

You dont think that your favorite underground rapper has tried to make it big in the music industry? You dont think he/she wants to make lots of money and get on the radio?

I will bet my current and future life savings that they tried and failed, or are currently trying to as we speak.

Eventually, these guys are going to get sick of playing 300 person bars and want to move to sold out arenas and try to go platinum.

Don’t forget Everyman needs to eat and feed those close to them

Now if you would excuse me, I have some old rappers to listen to

      Peace

    8. What a hot track.. fuckin throwback to the 90’s in this one. Haven’t heard something like this in a while… MOBB
