    1. LOL HIPHOP DX IT’S NICE YOU SHARING CLASSIC GEMS.

GUTTER RAINBOWS SHOULDA BEEN THE MAJOR LABEL VERSION OF MADLIB/TALIB’S 1ST COLLAB CD..

    2. I respect Kweli, and he’s had a nice career. But to be honest, he’s always just been slightly above mediocre to me. He’s just boring. I mean, he has substance and all, but he doesn’t really have anything interesting to say about the things he does talk about. His voice isn’t good. Especially on thing song. His flow is never great, he writes very average hooks, he’s just…overrated. With that said, I appreciate that he at least tries to make creative music. Madlib is a great producer.

      1. man i respect opinions but not where they have no evidence to back up their claim. Listening to 20 seconds of each Kweli song is not enough to get the full perspective of this rapper. Clear your head man then re-listen to his songs.

      2. Man please…you think I’m a newjack just because I don’t like this shit? I’m very familiar with the Reflection Eternal material, and even his work before that. I’m 29 kid, it’s not like I just stumbled upon Kweli, listened to him for 30 seconds and passed judgment on him. I’ve heard 12 years worth of his material, and I just don’t think he’s that great. I don’t think he’s wack, but I just think he’s very mediocre, like I said. There’s nothing extraordinary about him. Mos Def, yes, to me he is an extraordinary MC because he doesn’t JUST have the consciousness, he also has personality, he’s fun to listen to, he’s got mad styles and flows. Look, just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re talkin’ about. That type of attitude has been a detriment to HIp-Hop for the last decade. “You don’t like so-n-so?!! Then you’re a hater! or “You don’t like so-n-so, then you don’t know shit, go listen to Soulja Boy”. What the fuck is so wrong with people liking different artists?

    3. this is no different than the version on madlib’s last album….still tight

@sensaye252….he doesn’t have anything interesting to say….pop that revolutions per mintues in and listen to ballad of the black gold and tell me if that isn’t interesting…..

      1. I think this dude needs to relisten to all of the kweli’s music. He is awkward occasionaly with his flow. I mean enough that it messes the song up. Theres nothing wrong with having a unique flow like pharoahe monch or krs.

      2. Yo man, I got that album and I’m familiar with that song. It’s okay…I’m not saying it’s wack, it just isn’t that great. Your assumption that I haven’t heard enough of his material is based on what? the fact that I disagree with you? Maybe YOU need to listen to his material without automatically deciding that it’s dope just because you like Kweli. Look man, I been listening to Hip-Hop my ENTIRE life. I listen to lyrics closer than anyone I’ve ever met. I’m a Hip-Hop conossuier to the fullest. I was around when Kweli was just a college kid from Brooklyn passin’ out fliers. I’m not some short-patience new school listener with no idea what good lyrics are. I listen to ill MC’s, from obscure artists that you never heard of, to platinum selling artists. If a nigga is nice, he’s nice. I’m not on that underground vs. commercial bullshit.

    4. man i fuckin loved madlib at first then he just put to much product out there and watered down his portfolio
