    1. no. this beat is whack as fuck..the entire time im waiting for it to take off and it just doesnt. jay elec lyrics are aright but his tone is boring as fuck nothin special, jay killed it.

    2. yes this that shit sorry pete rock but you gotta know this shit hot. Jayz needs to stay with this type of flow, it suites him well

      1. Sorry fam but Pete Rock’s version shits all over this joint…I’m sure Pete is on the low nodding his head and laughing at the same time because nothing special was done with this sample…Pete Rock already put his dynamic touches on it and nobody has over mastered him on that sample ever since…If you think this is hotter than Pete Rock’s version than it’s obvious that you have some head problems…Like I said this beat is just laughable…

    3. these boule mutha fuckaz not bad shame jay electronica even though you do be jammin and shit i guess it was for your family damn man do you but thats sad bruh

    4. ITS ALIVE IT ALIVE..JAY E+ JAY-Z = HIP HOPS DEFRILBULATOR …THIS IS HIPHOP IN ITS RAWEST FORM ACCOUSTIC ,PIANO KEYZ ,AND JAZZ TRUMPETS ..IF U DONT GET IT STFU!! 10 STARS!!!

    5. Big fan of Jay Elec but I’m a little disappointed with this. Still hot but I wish the beat was a little more interesting. Both verses could have been better.

      **** stars

    6. Solid! This is the Hov I like to hear. He killed it! Jay Elec didn’t bring enough energy to the track, but his lyrics are on point. The beat was cool, but could have been a bit better.

    7. If you have anything bad to say about this track, you should just close your web browser and load up Rick Ross’s Teflon Don or any of Plies’s records, maybe that’s more your type of thing, this is exactly what it needs to be, sounds great. Jay Electronica needs to bring more energy? I hate when the public critiques a real artist, and when they are incredibly unaware of that artist’s style.

    8. am i the only one who hates hearing the same sampled used again i mean im sure most of yall kno Pete Rock this this like 20 years ago n did i miss sumtin . ..

      1. hell yeah he did. fuck mainstream rap, niggaz need to unleash the fury of the underground reaal soon…

check out ‘caveat emptor’ on datpiff for enlightenment.

    9. this is terrible and i’m not a hater. jay elect only has 1 really good song which is exhibit c. everything else is half ass. i want to see the guy win badly but this is terrible right here. jay z saves this from being horrible

      1. shut the fuck up. Jay Z’s still better than all these new niggas, yall cats be sucking off. he don’t need to retire, james brown was seventy plus still killing shows, issac hayes, herbie hancock, and the list goes on. a true musician does it for the love and his age should’nt be questioned. hip hop aint basketball dumb ass, he doesn’t have a bum knee, bad back. futhermore, mj still was able to drop 50, after sitting out for three years and averaged 20 points. so get the fuck out of here. hip hop needs nas, jay, kanye, the roots, talib, q-tip,and all the 30 plus rapper to keep doing it.

    10. This song is legit. Jay’s flow is ridiculous as always, but honestly, this song would be solid with just Electronica. But you know, just like Jackson 5’s “Can You Feel It”, Michael and Hov take you to that next level.

    11. Now this is what HIPHOP sounds like..or more or less what I like to hear….People please listen up!! I have not heard Jay-Z go in like that…..since ….well it has been a min! DAMN that was good…maybe for Jay-Z to rap and go in he needs that good competition……….ENTER Jay Elect

    12. Pete Rock’s version was 80,000 times better.. This is just the loop being looped over & over & over… Figured this would be better then anticipated. Turns out I was wrong..

    13. Laughing at these clowns saying Jay E sold out. Why, because he got a deal? Without hearing a change in his material or subject matter what are you basing that on? Anyway, song sounds good, but will be better when mastered. Hov bringing that old flow back, gotta love it

    14. this is a free track, mixtape material, of course theyre not gonna put effort on the beat. its to focus on the rhymes, which were somewat above average. ill support jay elect even if he signed w/ roc as i do wit j.cole, but the leech got shorter. bring some rawness to the repertoire to balance the inevitable bullshit tracks and were fine.

    15. its hilarious how shallow minds are looking for drums on this ROFL i guess real hip hop just flys above the minds of some

Get @ me leaving.carter@gmail.com ….GOING TO BE IN THE ATL! FROM 11/17/2010 TO 11/20/2010!!

    17. Beat could really use some drums.. it seems too empty. When i first heard it i kept waiting for the drums to kick in…

    18. Jay finally signed someone dope…better not fuck up dude’s career by shelving his album though. Jay Elec is hands down the best new rapper out…and that’s cause he’s a 70’s baby like me!

    19. This is not mastered yet…..the volume on the ad libs are too high…it has potential….let Electonica spit another verse and it’s money….I don’t know why niggaz call Jay-Z overrated…he under appreciated…his success i think skews people’s perception of his content…dude still spittin crazy…at 40+

    20. Can’t wait when the track is finished. People don’t like Jay-Z because ni99as can’t appreciate the rise of a Black man.

Plus if he rise – then why can’t you?

Well, I guess it’s easier to just call him a devil worshipper to avoid moving up.

Love the track. Jay Electronica will blow. He deserves it.

    21. Didn’t anyone want the 808’s and the kick drums to come in??? Like it needed that extra UMPH. But lyrically and flow-wise… this is ill. Jay-E… The 3rd J to RocNation lol

      1. I think most didn’t give a five because the track sounds unfinished….not sure if it needs 808’s though….I kinda like that 60s “I Dream of Jeanie” xylophone shit…makes the track stand out…they just need to lower the volume on the ad-libs and clean it up…then the track is a 7 out of 5….

    22. Mr. Carter signed this cat out of sheer pity! lol… Once again Diddy was trying to Eff another talented MC’s career up. After Bigg it was alllll down hill. Dirty Money, Seriously?!

“THE CHECK’S CAUGHT IN THE PIPELINE!!” Who was Jadakiss mocking in that Jay jerkin nikkas skit on his first solo lp?

All I’m saying is IF Electronica comes out before J.Cole then Mr. Carter is going to be getting a letter from yours truly! Effn inspire your artists. No more mixtapes. Solid LP’s. Cole is NOT going to make a Reasonable Doubt so let him put out what he’s got.

Am I wrong in saying that Cole has a following?!

      1. you obviously should never open your mouth or type on your keyboard when it comes to hip-hop… reasonable doubt, blueprint 1 and black album are all classic albums… ur a straight idiot

    23. wow this is so incredible!!!!!!!! This such a fresh breath of air for hip-hop. It appears that real rhyming and dope beats are back on the horizon

    24. Whoa…Jigga sounded like his old self there…Scary. I wonder what the fuck would da game do if Jay went back to his old flow. Shit on all da critics.Fuck it if he wit dat illuminati shit…true or not he makes good fuckin music. Carry on
