Action Bronson recently hit the Spotify Studios in New York City where he recorded two new songs for the Spotify Singles series — “I’m Going Down” and “Bonzai/Terry.”

The first single is a cover of Mary J. Blige’s 1994 hit “I’m Goin’ Down,” which was a cover of Rose Royce’s 1976 original, “I’m Going Down” from the R&B group’s Car Wash album. Blige’s version was included on her My Life project and peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Queens MC delivered his rendition of the song while sitting on a couch.

“I’m not a singer, so I’m gonna give the best vocal performance I possibly can … off the couch,” he says.
