Monday (October 30) marked the 15th anniversary of Jam Master Jay’s (still unsolved) murder. To honor the late Run-DMC DJ, Cut Chemist has dropped a new mix for his A Stable Sound podcast with Jay in mind.
Featuring music from artists like Low Profile, Grandmixer DST, Doctor Funnkenstein, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince and Beastie Boys, the nearly two-hour episode is non-stop freshness.
For his 23rd episode — which marks the first-year anniversary of the show — the talented Jurassic 5 turntablist recorded the show live at The Beat Junkie Institute of Sound in Los Angeles.
Cut Chemist is preparing to drop his upcoming solo album, Die Cut, in early 2018.
