HipHopDX Premiere: Los Angeles-based artist Jez Dior has music coursing through his veins. The son of Steve Dior, a guitarist who has played with punk legends like the Sex Pistols, the Epic Records signee combines elements of rock with Hip Hop to create his own unique sound. Carrying on with that mentality, he’s dropped the new single, “2 Birds.”

Throughout his adolescence, Jez struggled with addiction, but uses his music as an emotional outlet. He first appeared on the scene with the Scarlett Sage mixtape, then followed up with two independent releases — The Funeral EP and Youthanasia EP.

With plans to release his debut studio album in 2018, he’s more focused than ever. In the past, he’s toured with Chance The Rapper, and shared the stage with high profile artists like J. Cole and Kanye West. He also has a bevy of collaborations under his belt, including ones with G-Eazy and Elijah Blake.
