HipHopDX Premiere: The Brown Bag AllStars — J57, The Audible Doctor, Soul Khan, DeeJay Element and DJ E Holla — are back with another single from their upcoming LP, the aptly titled “Beerz,” which borrows from Wu-Tang’s “Tearz.” The track is one they’ve performed live for years, but never recorded or released. In June 2017, they buckled down, and wrote new verses for it, recorded it and even brought in a full string section to layer the beat. They also brought in longtime collaborator Akie Bermiss to sing the hook.
The forthcoming yet-to-be-titled album is expected in the near future along with another full-length project before the year is up. Until then, listen to the new joint above.
