HipHopDX Premiere: After taking on music by Anderson .Paak, Busty and the Bass are back with another single, “Memories & Melodies,” which follows their sold out shows in Toronto, New York, Pittsburgh, Boston, and Washington D.C.

The nine members of the band connected in their first week at McGill University’s jazz school in Montreal, where they quickly got to work bringing their individual music talents together. Since then, they’ve attracted the attention of Macy Gray after covering her hit, “I Try,” and made the rounds at SXSW, only solidifying their commitment to making a splash this year.

For the group’s upcoming album, they’ve enlisted the skills of Grammy Award-winning producer/mixer Neal Pogue, best known for his work with acts like Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Earth Wind and Fire, MIA, Nicki Minaj, Aretha Franklin, and Lil Wayne. Check out the new single above.
