Before T.I. takes off on his Hustle Gang Tour, the hardworking Atlanta artist decided to drop “Do My Thing” with a little assistance from DJ Whoo Kid and DJ MLK, and production courtesy of Jazz Feezy. According to an interview with Billboard, it was at the DJs’ request that Tip finally put out some fresh music.
“We were tired of waiting on getting new music from Tip, so we basically forced his hand into releasing some street shit,” Whoo Kid and MLK told Billboard. “You know Tip tried holding onto this, but then he was like ‘fuck it, let’s get it out.”
Of course, T.I. has been putting out plenty of material over the past 12 months, including the Us Or Else EP, the follow up, Us Or Else: Letter To The System, and collaborative tracks with artists on his roster like RaRa. Listen to the new joint above.
