Prince Charlez, who co-wrote and was featured on Mary J. Blige’s new track, “U + Me,” has surfaced with a solo track of his own. Titled “Stamina,” the bass-heavy song finds the Compton native flexing his songwriting prowess, which he’s proved time and time again writing songs for notable artists like Beyoncé, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Kehlani and Kendrick Lamar. However, that’s about to change for the time-being.
“I’m working on my first album,” Charlez tells HipHopDX. “It’s a different phase for me right now. I’m really evolving into something else. I’m enjoying the process and being open to everything being brought by the universe right now. I’m still writing for people and open to writing for people’s projects who I’m passionate about. Primarily, my focus is on me and getting my first project out.”
In the meantime, bump the track above.
