Stephen Bruner (otherwise known as Thundercat) isn’t the only Bruner making music these days. His brother Ronald Bruner, Jr. is clearly privy to the same musical gene that runs tough in their family. The producer/drummer is putting out his own album on March 3, Triumph via Alpha Pup, which features Mac Miller, George Duke, Danielle Withers, Kamasi Washington and, of course, Thundercat. Their collaborative single, “Take The Time,” while cacophonous at times, still brilliantly displays the brothers’ jazz-influenced musical gifts. Listen above.
