American-Armenian rapper R-Mean was born in Los Angeles, but raised in Amsterdam. At the age of 18, he moved back to L.A. to pursue his music career. He attended college and ended up not only graduating from UCLA, but went to get his Pharm D degree from Loma Linda University.
In July of 2015, R-Mean released his most ambitious album to-date, 7 Deadly Sins, on Pentagon Records/Empire Distribution with brand new features from The Game, Crooked I, and King Los. In October of 2016, R-Mean released his Nas & Em project- a tribute mixtape to his two biggest influences with DJ Base, which has been extremely well received by fans and critics alike.
He ended last year with an explosive appearance on Sway In The Morning as part of the annual Doomsday Cypher. Sway Calloway proceeded to deem him “one of the illest lyricists to ever spit on Shade45.”
At the top of 2017, R-Mean started a campaign called #MeanMondays- a year-long series where he will be dropping a brand new song every week for 52 weeks straight. #MeanMondays will include a lot of dope collaborations with big names as well as up and coming artists and producers.
This week, he released “Blessing In Disguise,” produced by League Of Starz. The super producer collective has worked with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, TI, 2 Chainz, E-40, and the list goes on.
