During an intimate event in New York on Tuesday night (January 10), TDE songstress SZA spoke to the audience about her new single, “Drew Barrymore,” which was inspired by the celebrated actress and ’90s films like Never Been Kissed and Poison Ivy starring Barrymore. “I just imagine this being the soundtrack to one of those movies. Cue Freddie Prinze, Jr.,” she said during the event. The track comes from her forthcoming project, CTRL, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2014’s Z. The album also features a Travis Scott collaboration titled “Love Galore,” according to Billboard. Listen to the song above.
