HipHopDX Premiere: Produced by June Highsmith, Tree Thomas’ new track, “Leave,” is the result of making an unforgivable mistake and consequently losing someone special. On the very personal song, the aspiring Bay Area rapper open up his pain and experiences in love.
“This song is really from the heart and one of the hardest stories for me tell,” Thomas tells DX. “It took me a while to release, but I really want my fans to get to know me better.”
His last project, ROOTS, dropped in early December 2016 and boasts guest appearances from Damian Lillard (Dame D.O.L.L.A.), IAMSU! and Kevin Gates. Listen to his first track of the new year above.
