HipHopDX Premiere: Houston MCs Kay Jay and Paul Wall collaborate on an ode to living each day like it’s your last on the Jon Z-produced “Live For Today.” As the first single from Kay Jay’s upcoming sophomore project Seize The Moment, the track is a teaser of what to expect when the album drops in early 2017. Featuring guest spots from Devin The Dude and Scotty ATL, it’s a bright moment for the blossoming rapper.
“After many years of being down and out, it felt great to start getting money and making big moves in life,” Kay Jay tells DX. “With the album being called Seize The Moment, I always say, ‘Live life like there’s no tomorrow’ and that’s exactly what I do — from partying VIP in the club to riding around in fancy cars with women I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to be around. You never know when will be your last day so live each one to the fullest.”
