As aspiring Philly artist Corey Lee puts the finishing touches on his debut album, A Shot In The Dark, he returns with another single in support of the project. Titled “Billboard Melodies,” the song is produced by Yung Trel and finds the ambitious rapper rhyming about making it to the top, more specifically penetrating the Billboard charts.
“The concept behind this song is just the transition I’ve made from an unknown rapper to one of the most buzzed about artists within the indie music scene in Philadelphia,” Lee tells DX. “It’s also about the journey that I hope continue on in 2017.”
With Yung Trel’s infectious bass-heavy beat and Lee’s clever rhyme patterns, it just might be a match made in heaven. Listen above.
