HipHopDX Premiere: Twenty-three-year-old recording artist and battle rapper JP Cali Smoov has shared his 15-track mixtape, The Recipe, featuring compelling new material complemented by carefully crafted beats. Best known for his musical collaborations with DJ Quik, Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg, the Los Angeles native is clearly a multitalented and multifaceted entertainer.
Beginning with his own take on Dr. Dre’s 1999 single, “The Difference,” (titled “Differences Freestyle”), the mixtape is a precursor to his forthcoming full-length album Jackie Robinson.
