When Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez was tragically taken from us in 2002, it brought TLC‘s illustrious career to a screeching halt. However, the remaining members, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas (the ‘T’ and ‘C’ of TLC), have resurfaced with two new TLC songs from their forthcoming album, the first in 14 years. Titled “Joy Ride” and “Haters,” the two tracks are two years in the making.
The new album campaign began in 2014 with the launch of a Kickstarter fund that surpassed its $150,000 goal, and raked in $430,000 from a loyal fanbase to write, record and produce a new album. The time has finally arrived. Check out a snippet of “Haters” below and “Joy Ride” above.
