Since Solange Knowles released her highly praised album, A Seat at the Table, at the end of last month, countless artists have remixed her material into their own beautiful compositions. Common is the latest to take a shot at adding his own touch to her music with the remix of “Cranes In The Sky,” which was one of two singles Solange brought to life with a pair of stunning visuals.

“Cranes in the sky / We going to keep building / For our children’s children / Doctor’s keep pillin’ / Love is a drug that drugs can’t heal ‘um / But listen to Lauryn for the healin’,” he spits, as Solange’s angelic voice fills up the background. Common is gearing up to release his new album, Black America Again, on November 4. Check out the remix above.
