As a matter of fact, the Atlanta rapper categorizes his latest offering as R&B/Soul on his Soundcloud link. The somber offerings of “Call Me Badly” revolve around an apology for a girl he mistreated that won’t stop trying to contact him.
Considering iLoveMakonnen announced his retirement from rap in May, perhaps this is the new direction he wants to take. Whatever the case, it’s a welcome return from the colorful artist.
