Beginning with “Stupid Rich,” Scotty ATL‘s new album, Daily Bread, immediately draws the listener in with his honest portrayal of how people react to someone’s sudden success and the jealousy that often ensues. It’s something that sets the Atlanta-based rapper apart from his contemporaries. His ability to relate to people is what makes him such an engaging presence.
While on tour with B.o.B. in March, Scotty lost four people close to him in the span of four weeks, including fellow Atlanta rapper Bankroll Fresh. After the particularly trying year, Daily Bread is a result of pain, struggle, and his intent on overcoming it all.
With production from KE On the Track, 8 Track, TDT, Chris Prythm, and CAL-i, it still manages to retain a cohesive quality.
