Aviel Ben Yamin, one of Portland’s hardest working (and at times, most controversial) Hip Hop artists, has been uncharacteristically quiet as of late. He has produced for artists like OnCue, JayIDK, Emilio Rojas, Derek Pope, Fred The Godson, and more. All of that changes, however, with the release of his latest single, “10k Deep.” The trap-adjacent banger manages to balance an incredibly contagious hook with a dextrous, swagged-out verse over bouncy production from beatsmith Taylor King and Yamin.
As if the song didn’t have enough merit already, “10k Deep” also boasts a wavy verse from California-to-Oregon rapper Brookfield Deuce (best known for his musical collaborations with Portland Trailblazers’ own Damian Lilliard, his blood relative) as well as a solid rapid-fire verse from Portland newcomer Nick B.
With “10k Deep,” Brookfield, Nick B and Aviel Ben Yamin have crafted a rallying cry to their respective fanbases, fans whom may want to pay closer attention as Aviel prepares to release his debut album The Gabriel Park Chronicles.
