HipHopDX Exclusive Premiere: Though Fosho has known how to play the keyboard since his youth, it wasn’t until after purchasing a Macbook in 2009 that he taught himself how to record, mix, and arrange music. In the summer of 2013, Fosho began to make music professionally and dropped his first album, Mali, Molly and Tamale. Since then, Fosho has grown as an artist and producer in his craft which is reflected in his newest single, “Levels,” from his forthcoming album Pound of My Flesh.

Fosho states, “It’s just a turn up song for me. It getss me super hyped. I’ve been doing a lot of consciously rich songs so I just wanted to switch it up a bit and have fun on the track. The beat did half the job really, it’s a dope club beat, I just had to put my sauce on it. Shouts out to the producer Xavior Jordan. I was in a good place when I wrote it; I was feeling myself, good people and good energy around me. Each time I listen to it, it brings me back to that period….”
