Demrick is a fixture in the Southern California Hip-Hop scene. Formerly known as Young De, the Spokane, Washington native counts SoCal heavy hitters like Xzibit, Kurupt and Cypress Hill as mentors and major collaborators. After learning the breaks of the game from these legends and assisting them with finding a younger audience in the new decade, Demrick steps out on his own with his second studio album, Collect Calls, hitting stores June 24th. The album features multiple productions from prolific West Coast hitmaker Scoop Deville (Kendrick Lamar’s “The Recipe” & “Poetic Justice,” Snoop Dogg’s “I Wanna Rock”), as well as guest appearances from California stalwarts Casey Veggies and Lil Debbie. “I really represent the theory that ‘anything is possible,’” Demrick explains. “This is my best and most honest work to date.”
