This a joke right? Fake azz mafukka makes another “song” about hot topic shiit saying nothing important at all and somehow it’s powerful. He is the white privilege and his “music” is rap appropriation epitomized. “Hip Hop is Dead” -Nas
First song I heard from Macklemore was Wings. I think Mack is doing what he should do. He adds a perspective that other rappers don’t give because they’re either not white, or they don’t care about addressing these very relevant social issues. I remember Young Thug saying some dumb shit like BLM doesnt concern him. Bunch of lost folks. This song right here is amazing and it needs to be heard.
Another reason besides not being white or not concerned with social issues is the fact that record labels won’t push black rappers who speak on social ills. Talib and Mos Def come to mind everybody liked them but no one wanted to push them to the commercial forefront. Luckily Lamar and Cole is breaking that cycle
Stop trying so hard Mack. This shits wack. Insecure cause you’re not black…Panders to every pc news headline. Beasties, Em didn’t have to do these antics to have a career
Harsh you are a sucker, and exactly the type of person Macklemore makes this trash for. Why don’t you go masturbate to gay porn and listen to Same Love by him, then listen to this after because you’re a mindless tard. You do realize that he will make money off this song and boost his reputation, right? Macklemore is just smarter than you and basically taking advantage of you, like he did with gay people on Same Love. This song isn’t hip hop, it’s Macklemore.
“You’ve exploited and stolen the music, the moment. The magic, the passion, the fashion, you toy with. The culture was never yours to make better. You’re Miley, you’re Elvis, you’re Iggy Azalea”. Wow! As a descendant of Jacob, I have to say I applaud Macklemore for understanding his place in our culture. You’ve definitely earned the respect of the “African American” community, Mack. Much respect to you.
1. LISTEN to the song before popping off.
2. Macklemore has ALWAYS been this person, it’s just he’s famous now.. So it comes off as a gimmick. Anyway salute Mack. Dope song. Thank you.
sad part, This is completley a rip off of Kendrick whole ALBUM. This is what im talking about. Can we have shi for ourselves. So now he has to out do a Black Man with Black Problems? Eminem did this whole white priv so differently and better. did not sample black marching or boycotting. i mean Mack, the song is fukin dope, but its sad that you are following the steps of Kendrick and WILL GET MORE RECOGNITION OVER THIS THEN KENDRICK. wow i just can’t believe it.
Dope AF. Totally biting Kdot style, with that funk single now this, but its hard. Its real hiphop. Just dont know why he’s following that same path. i mean its good due to a white person standing up for what us Blacks believe in, but at the same time, its hard for me to love it when i know its not better then Kdots TPAB and it will get probably more shine then Kdots. Crazy everything is so damn racial again. fook that i like this shit. but its no where near on the same level as KDOt
“Totally biting Kdot style, with that funk single now this” / RE: WTF? I like most of what you have to say, but QUIT making stupid comparisons to Kendrick. What matters is that Macklemore is choosing to use his fame to speak on an important issue to HIS fanbase. Also, you act like Macklemore’s NEVER spoken on social issues before (or made a track with some funk). Dude’s been following a similar formula for YEARS (way back before Kendrick was even relevant).
look, I don’t know if this dude ‘really’ feels this way or not, but at least he’s addressing the issue in a professional way. Hiphop is HIS profession apparently, let him live and get his point across. Why hate? Everyone has something to say, some ppl like, some don’t ..ride out.
Damn dude can’t make a dope song addressing issues our country face without being accused of being a Kendrick wannabe smh. Why don’t yall bitch about every trash rapper in the game biting futures repetitive ass style. Peace
Stupid that he feels as tho he has to do this an that since hundred of years past black people still want to turn everything to race no matter what because they feel as though they what don’t gget away with enough? You want respect get the whole race on boat whites are the same way there are whites that act out and set a bad name so to speak you have it in every race the best thing you can do is better yourself hopefully others will follow.
Fuck this poser

Incredible track, white rappers rule hip hop.

comment section should be interesting. *grabs popcorn*
This guy is such a panderer to politically correct bullshit. He makes me sick and I can’t wait for him to be gone just like Iggy Izalea.
This guy should focus more on winning less on his haters

Awwwwww white hip hop enthusiast not happy with white rapper because white rapper acknowledges the significance of black lives in and out of hip hop.
Your world must be crumbling lol

This is what happens when an educated and talented human creates hip hop. Not these high school drop out inner city idiots making GARBAGE. Salute Mack
