It’s really been 16 years since Nas released ‘Nastradamus!’

“Since we know you loved the album so much”? Is this a joke? LOL. This made Nas a laughing stock in hip hop and Hov later put the final nail in the coffin to his career. I hope to see a 16th anniversary for Vol. 3: Life and Times of S. Carter.
Vol 3 is like the ultimate HOV album. The most popular song on the album, big pimpin, HOV gets murdered by Bun B. In the end, even though the best verses on that album aren’t from HOV. It made him popular with white kids that buy records and that’s what HOV cares about.
Is this nigga serious ..u sleep if nas got murdered …stillmatic had jayz salty af and god son made him cry and he wasn’t even brutal on those albums foh
One of my least favorite Nas albums BUT it wasn’t bad as hip hop heads think. It was actually some gems on it. It’s Nas so he’s put at such high standards so this was below expectations. I just think Nas wasn’t as inspired when making this and that’s probably the label forcing him to drop something.
I am a big Nas fan. Illmatic and it was written are his top two best albums.i don’t know why people were saying he was selling out after his first album.Nastramadus was ok,but one of my least favourites.
Yep, HOV is way better at ripping off other people’s styles and pretending to be his own. It’s like hov doesn’t even care about hip hop and wants to sell to lowest common denominator.
Um brush if he did so bad at it why did it sale so well…he was still illmatic jus under some popular hip-hop sounds the album it was written is still uncut raw no baking soda …
Because he went from being a supposed “street poet” to doing a poor attempt at being a drug mafioso kingpin, when others like G Rap, Raekwon and Hov were doing much better at that. That’s why people say he sold out.
Not his greatest album but a so like a lot of tracks. His worst album is that double album he put out. I don’t even remember the name without looking it up. 2 hottest tracks where both bonus tracks. How you like my sale I still bump
People with tiny brains like Fuck Queensbridge forget that Columbia forced Nas to put out Nastradamus a mere 7 months after I AM was released. The original double album version of I AM was so heavily bootlegged that Columbia made him record new songs. No album in 99′ suffered from bootlegging as much as the original I AM. The only other hip hop album that might have that year was Mobb Deep’s Murda Muzik, not even Volume 3. The original I AM would have smashed Volume 3 to pieces.
Nastradamus wasn’t weak Lyrically beat wise some would consider that as the Downfall. But Lyrics were on point Life We Chose, Some of Us Have Angels, Come Get Me, Project Windows, Last Words, Family, New World, Nastradamus, You Owe Me lol I really don’t understand why his album is hated it’s actually not bad at all Thugged Out but not bad. Oh and Streets Disciple was far from whack muhfuckas.. Don’t comprehend strong Lyricism…..

Man Nas is over rated!!!! Dmx was harder than all the East Coast
It’s funny how Nas’ weakest album is better than a majority of rap nowadays.
