    1. Such a slept on but dope album by The Hill…. So many great songs on one album. It didn’t have as much input from Sen Dog as I was used to but the quality of music didn’t suffer. I remember being pissed that Barron Ricks was on so many songs as I felt they were trying to replace Sen Dog, but once I heard the album it all worked. Muggs killed it on the production. Aprt from the obvious singles, you’ve got to check out ‘Prelude to a Come Up’ with MC Eiht which is so ill, ‘Through the Eye of a Pig’, ‘From the Window of my Room’ and my personal favourite ‘Steel Magnolia’ with Barron Ricks. The beat on that one is so hard.

    2. This is the last somewhat decent album in Cypress Hill discography. They jumped the shark on III -Temples of Boom (1995). That album is my favorite Cypress Hill album, hands down. The very pinnacle of their career in my opinion. I can’t stress enough how much i like that album. But back to this one – IV.. A very dark album too, unfortunately the “rock” influence became apparent already on this one.. like on Riot Starter, and even more so on Lightning Strikes. I did not like this direction they took on the follow up, Skull & Bones which was a horrible, horrible album. After that i gave up on Cypress Hill.
