    1. folk hop? hip hop? i vote both, but really that’s a dumb question. yelawolf has a creative mind, adnd not many people understand what he’s doing. He’s literally creating his own genre, and i dont know what its called, but it’s a definite blend of hip hop, rock, and country. And as you can see with this song, he hit the nail straight on the head. it’s still unsure whether the song will appear on shady xv, or love story. regardless, the song is incredible.

and on a side note: radioactive was pretty dope and had some great great songs.
Yelawolf honestly deserves more credit, and i hope love story rightfully earns it

      1. good to know it’s on Lovestory, sounds fitting to the title and it deserves a good home. I agree with Dx slacking. They didn’t post this song till a full day later, but i guess the “cover art” for kendrick’s single next week (which I am excited for btw, don’t get me wrong) is far more important than an incredible single that dropped prior to his cover art…Shady Records has big plans for 4th Quarter, Shady XV, LOVESTORY, Glass House. bang bang bang! good thing because the first 3/4 of 2014 has sucked for hip-hop for the most part, minus ab soul and Q

    2. Over his last couple of projects and freestyles Yela kinda showed me he’s actually really dope lyrically when he wants to be and extremely versatile with his sound – this song just stretched that even more…

idk if this is hip hop in the purest sense but i dont give a fuck cause its still dope music…

    3. prefer this yelawolf artistically over the one that screams over rock tracks. aggression is dope when it’s channeled just talkin’ the heavy metal 1’s

    4. Dope yelawolf just keeps getting better I’m looking forward to love story more than any other album he has built a strong buzz as if late with his fire freestyles and singles he about to be at the top if the rap game!

    5. Dope laid back track. Reminds me of something that would fit in with his Slumdon Bridge Ep. Original and creative! That is what is missing in hip hop these days! Yelawolf fills that large void!

    6. It doesn’t matter he’s not on a traditional beat. It’s hiphop and its awesome. I think his white boy country side puts people off because when I hear this shit I feel like people are still sleeping on Yela….

    7. this dude steady copying 3 stacks , cee lo green , bizzy bone , those gay fucks kid rock and limp bizkit . get yo own lane .

    8. it is one of his best songs and the beats are different on this track……. he is up there with the top hip-hop artists no doubt

      1. Listen to Arena Rap, Stereo or Trunk music returns and you will see this is the type of shit yelawolf been doing. Song goes too hard.

      2. true^
As great and fresh as this song is, he’s been doing this style for quite some time, just hasnt been very popular. Thats why his core fans are probably the most devoted fans to any artist. He’s great.

    9. If you like this check out the “Slumdon Bridge” EP/mixtape Yela put out two years ago, its all stuff like this. I really loved his space-themed Trunk Music Returns. that shouldve been an album. He was at his best period then or at least so far.

I really hope Love Story at least measures up if not better. Probably depends if he can stay away from the Jack D. Much Love.

    10. This is a great example of where the direction of mainstream rap/hiphop ‘should’ head. Real music, message, not dumb fasaud style lyrics thrown over an airy simple beat.

    11. Damn, I’ll admit I’m intrigued by this composition; can’t say I’ve ever heard anything like it. I’m gonna check out some older stuff of his per the comments below. This is like some white fubu shit, for us by us lmao.

    12. For those of you looking for old shit like this of his: you’re not gonna find it. If you wanna check back on him, go back to “Pop The Trunk” and others from that album. Also you can’t forget about “Radioactive”.

      1. Nahhh Kendrick has 2 classics and Overly Dedicated which is damn near classic , Yelawolf has 1 classic and TMR and Creekwater are dope but not anywhere near classic and not to mention 1 wack album in Radioactive whereas Kendricks albums range from good-classic . If Love Story turns out to be good then we can talk .

      2. I can definitely agree with some of that .. Love Story needs to drop before we can truly have this conversation, but for a few of us that have followed along closely — there’s just no way “mixtapes / EPs” like Stereo, Trunk Muzik Returns, Arena Rap and even Black Fall are not Album quality .. and even just getting a taste of some of these recent Freestyles (Primus, Pink Floyd and The Doors) .. Then you got to look at the other things — from Rittz, Slumerican, SupaHotBeats to Eminem, Shady, DJ Paul, Malay, Jim Jonsin .. When you put it all together and see WTF is actually going on here, it’s EASY to realize that Yelawolf is on a level beyond ANYONE out there today .. Love Story will 100% no doubt in my mind back it up ..

    13. Heard this on the end of Sons of Anarchy last week…fire like his style on this…different from other hip hop…i don’t even know if I would call this hip hop but its good music

    14. great flow, great beat and a really cool hook. Not a big Yela fan, but he’s got me checkin for his next shit. Original

      1. Yelawolf >>>>>> J Cole
        Slumerican >>>>> Dreamvillain

No debate .. J Cole set his own ceiling at Nas — Jay Z & Kanye will NEVER let Cole grow beyond them .. Yelawolf making his own lane right next to Eminem

    15. Damn, this is real talent/artistry

i hope his next album is better than radioactive…truly disappointing album. if he sticks to his artistry he will be alright.

      cant deny true talent

    16. Big up to Yela! He Dope fo Sho and coming back strong after damn Macklemore took his shit/logo for their own. I support you boy!!!

      1. Bye !! Have fun .. We’re here for True Artistry .. not Pop BS .. There’s no debate about it .. Macklemore chose his path and the sad truth is no matter what he puts out, who he features, what credibility he tries to gain back — he sold out in the worst way possible and it will always reflect out to the Music .. Yelawolf will NEVER let us down

    17. im not a fan of these new rappers on the radio, and this same recycled beat trap music, its destroyed music in general, but

this song is good, its refreshing, this is the type of music hiphop needs and direction it should go in
