With the 20 year anniversary of Warren G’s album Regulate… G Funk Era just passing (June 7), it’s only right we give you one of the album’s dopest cuts. Regulate was released in the summer of 1994 and is considered to be the song that put the two artist on the map. The song samples Michael McDonald’s I Keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near), Bob James’ Sign of the Times and Dr. Dre’s Let Me Ride. The song first appeared on theAbove the Rim soundtrack and later made it’s way to Warren’s debut studio album Regulate… G Funk Era. Can you believe its really been 20 years? What were you doing in 1994?
