    1. LOVE J COLE. THAT “THEY READY” WAS SLEPT ON. IF THAT COLE X KENDRICK TAPE EVER COMES TO FRUITION, THE GAMES OVER.

    2. I’m glad DX hightlighted J. Cole as producer did this article. Always thought Cole’s production was underrated. I think Nas and Jay-Z could use some J. Cole beats for there next releases.

    3. I’ve never been a fan of his beats, or J. Cole as a rapper. But we all have different taste.

    4. Slept on producer. Jig Is Up should be on there. XV – Watch me Go and XV – Smalville are great too.

    5. J. cole really is a dope producer. The fact that he is a talented rapper, not your typical cliche one, and produces his own beats, is why I’m a big fan.

      1. Big K.R.I.T. is actually a very good rapper/producer. Unfortunately, nobody can say the same about J. Cole.

      2. Bruh, nothing about J.Cole’s rapping is different from most other rappers. He talks about hoes and money and struggle as much as anybody else, and his storytelling is generic.

    6. “The Jig Is Up” with Kendrick, anyone…

Also, “Louis Vuitton” was a Cole song originally that he gave to Fab (which is why Cole has the first two verses).

    7. tbf i reckon lil wayne is way better then him. He writes his own songs and got too much money to make beats. Lupe better too!

    8. love his production. so underrated! hope to here some more music with Kendrick if we won’t get the album at least like an EP or anything, those two are the future of hiphop. putting real shit back on the map

      1. Hell no, Kendrick deserves quality beats – that means no J. Cole. Kendrick can’t fail now, he has to provide another classic and that can’t be done using whack beats.

      2. youre retarded. cole produced one of kendricks biggest hits how can you say his beats are whack. your fucked.

    9. His sickest prod was for XV the song is smallville. Really cool song to hear, the kind of loop you can listen for days. Under a sunny weather you appreciatiate it more.

    10. Cole>KRIT in terms of production, songwriting, flow and delivery.

KRIT can’t produce a song as big/well received as Power Trip or HiiiPower….

    11. They Ready is a pretty underwhelming beat. Great sample, but the drums don’t really go that well with it.

    12. Big K.R.I.T.> J.Cole, Cole Is Dope, But Goddamn K.R.I.T. is a better producer and rapper, i just wish pimp c was alive to be featured on his tracks, because the south aint what it used to be. saw him in portland oregon with Kweli, and he killed it.

      1. Agreed. KRIT is the best producer/rapper combo in the game right now. He’s top 3 producer and top 3 rapper for me with the potential to be the best in both categories.

      2. Most of KRIT’s production sounds the same. He’s a better rapper than producer now IMO. He killed his verse on “1 Train” on ASAP Rocky’s album.

Cole can make any type of track….from Lost Ones to Power Trip to Nobody’s Perfect….he has more depth than KRIT in terms of production and rapping.
