In 1984, Corey Hart released “Sunglasses at Night.” The song has been considered an ‘80s hit since. In 2014, Lil Herb & Lil Bibby have released their remake of the song. Will it have the same lasting effect?
In all seriousness, the use of the low-key beat and remade hook here is pretty cool. The track, “At Night,” is an unreleased track from back in the days when Bibby & Herb were still doing pretty much all of their work together. Since then, Lil Bibby has released his debut mixtape Free Crack and Lil Herb has released his as well, titled Welcome to Fazoland. Bibby’s came in November of last year while Herb’s took until February of this year to make its appearance. Bibby has even gotten a pretty public co-sign from Drake, although we were disappointed not to see a Drizzy feature on the Free Crack project. Hopefully we’ll be hearing much more from these two Chicago upstarts.
