    1. King Cole is running this rap shit! This is vintage Cole right here. yeah, he needs the radio hits on his albums. But he can also do the raw shit, too.

He’s more well rounded than Drake, Kendrick, and Macklemore. Cole is the REAL leader of the new school.

      Dreamville all day!

      1. Kendrick is a better rapper but J. Cole makes great music and is one of my favourite producers. He’s a great rapper as well but Kendrick is lyricly much better.

      2. Kendrick is better at rapping fast and has a more talented mixer (Ali) than Cole does. Cole’s music speaks to people more, and he’s way better live than Kendrick.

      3. More well-rounded than Drake and Kendrick? You kidding? I love all three, but Cole has only had one good song for the radio (Power Trip) and has made a ton of shit ones. Cole has mastered the slow beats with deep verses, but can’t do much else well. Drake can do club music, car music, slow music, lots more equally well, and Kendrick is CRAZY versatile.

    2. no doubt cole is super talented but all of his music sounds the same. he has to start working with other producers. krit too.

      1. I think I may have read somewhere that Cole said he may want to start producing less. Recruiting other producers on his project. It doesn’t matter to me, I like his style of production.

      2. Could not agree more. Not that I didnt love Born Sinner, but I do get a sense they he will eventually plateau going over the same style of beats.

As for Krit, his beats are wayyyy more repetitive.

Regardless, these dudes are keeping hip hop alive!!!!

      3. I hate when ppl use that reason “his shit sounds the same”.. so what your basically saying is Cole sounds like Cole? Yeah, no shit. That’s his sound..that got him famous.

      1. Stop dickriding they both nice. Kendricks a better MC but Cole’s music and lryics just a bit better, they kl with eachother so why hate. This is nice tho Cole big music.

      2. Kendrick is NOT a better MC (Master of Ceremonies). Kendrick is better at rapping fast and has a more talented mixer (Ali) than Cole does. Cole’s music speaks to people more, and he’s way better live than Kendrick.

    3. Let’s be real. J.Cole is INCREDIBLE, but the dude gotta bring it on this second release. His lackluster production and music direction is horrible, but he has so much potential for a classic.

      1. um, born sinner was his second release.. not exactly a classic album, but it’s very great and a good improvement over sideline story..

    4. one day this nigga is riding Nasir’s dick the other day he is rocking a Rocafella chain. Now i gotta ask, what up son ? what type of shit you on ? do you ride with Nas or do you rock with Jay ?

      1. Straight up. Ain’t no beefin between them 2 titans of the industry. It be foolish to NOT like/respect/ride with BOTH Nas and Jay

    5. J Cole is not growing in his music at all. Mediocre sample that has been used by hundreds of rappers, typical lyrics talking about the same stuff he always talks about, typical sing songy hook. His music hasn’t changed since 2007. I’m not impressed

      1. you not even listening to the words bishniqqAAAA! his storytelling is getting more concise, clear and purposeful. His flows on point too. This aint some lame turn up future shit you probably listen to.

      2. So if he has a style of music and a type of story that made him millions, why should he change it up now? The stuff he talks about is the stuff he grew up with. If he talked about anything else it wouldn’t be real.

      3. If you can’t relate to j cole then shut the fuck up and don’t listen to his music. This guy has more talent then any rapper in the game.

      4. STFU u STFU j cole is talented but not near the most talented kendrick, joey bada$$, ab-soul, Earl sweat shirt would all shit on him

    6. If Kendrick rapped the SAME EXACT WORDS WITH THE SAME FLOW COLE DOES….He would get SO MUCH PRAISE for some reason. Kendrick is the flavor of the month. Cole doesn’t get enough credit but has delivered so much solid material the past year.

      1. It does kinda sound like 50 tho. That’s not a bad thing. 50 had some of the catchiest rap hooks ever when he was in his prime.

    7. Kids are crazy.. still a beast. Cole and Kendrick run the game, wait til their collab. Which I’ve been telling people about for 4 years now. #Hiiipower #Coleworld

    8. How cheap can a beat sound.. Wake me up when he starts to rap. This made me sleepy, but it’s just his boring flow. Didn’t like his album or this track.

2/5 is a fair rating. With a proper flow, this should deserve 3 stars. Better beat and then it’s 4 stars.

    9. I rarely post, but it seems only idiots and people who expect Illmatic and KRS One on every track post nowadays. This was hot, the beat was solid and was a great sample track, some shit we’ve been missing since Kanye went pop. This is nice 4/5.

    10. lol niggas hate on cole heavy.. “Cole boring”…. hahahaha yeah right!. I’ll admit he fucks up bad sometimes like “Cole world” the song(utter trash) album not what i expected but ok. wale killed him on winter schemes. No kendrick verse on forbidden fruit -_-. Cole tape born sinner was really good though easily 4/5. The only songs I sometimes skip is power trip, trouble, and she knows but those aren’t even bad songs…. That boring shit really needs to stop though, like what makes him boring? xDD and have you seen this man on the stage?? GTFO with that sleeping stuff lololol

      1. man he is boring lol. I saw the show where wale opened from him, and Wale killed it. I really do like some cole tracks, but nothing really stands out..maybe he has to change up his flow a bit? Still a lot of upside tho.

      2. I hear you man. I’m not gonna act like I don’t hear recycled flows lol, EVERY rapper does that though. I think villuminati and rich niggaz were stand out tracks too, straight bars on both. runaway also

    11. man u niggas sleepin on cole, cole is spits that unique shit. always real clear and telling a story. ya’ll be liking that chief keef wack ass shit!!

      1. Too true. Ppl are just intellectually elevated enough to follow Cole, so ‘boring’ gets thrown out. Pretty funny. Real recognize real, that stands wherever.

    12. Nice. Definitely one of the underrated in the game. #Dreamville #Coleworld

    13. It’s almost not surprising Cole feels Nas so much .. His career is basically on the same path .. Not one of those SPECIAL greats, but a Great none the less .. YELAWOLF the chosen one .. He has harmony and style that Cole lacks

      1. No one gives a shit about YELAWOLF. All of Slaughterhouse>>>>>>>>>>Yelawolf. LOGIC is better than Yelawolf.

Cole is slept on. He’ll get his credit after he drops his next album. Kendrick, Drake, Macklemore are going to oversaturate themselves….Cole hasn’t even peaked yet. Just wait and see.

      2. LOL you’re off .. I’m agreeing that J.Cole is a Great .. He is very talented, but the criticism about him being boring is True .. He needs more versatility or he’s just Nas .. Just wait for Love Story .. YELAWOLF #King

      3. Cole and Nas’ career path are nothing a like. Nas smashed the game with a debut verse at 18 and put out one of the greatest albums ever by 20. Cole is pushin’ 30 and is not even close to doing the same. Nas had to battle for top spot with Big, Pac, Jay…etc. Besides Kendrick, Cole has guys like Wale, Big Sean, Meek and Drake to compete with…lol. Their careers are not close at all.

    14. Y’all are crazy Do you not remember Friday Night Lights? One of the best mixtapes ever, let alone of this generation. Born sinner was such a complete album and people try to say Cole is boring but listen to “aint that some shit” and then in contrast “chaining day” some of the realest shit ever. Open your ears

    15. Saying Cole is boring? what fumes you huffing, he puts down the verses, makes his OWN beats which are usually fire, and he does vocals/production. He’s the complete package, and will be the next Jay-Z. Yelawolf….come on man that guy aint got nothing on Cole World

    16. What more do people want? Just because he doesn’t use a spitfire flow all the time (that gets tiresome to hear) like Kendrick does…doesn’t mean Cole isn’t spitting fire. Cole is straight forward with his approach to song making. That is “boring” to some. He doesn’t need to rely on robot voices and gimmicks to make a dope song. His storytelling is on point…his hook game is dope..this hook reminds me of 2003 50 Cent. dope as fuck.

      1. His hooks are his biggest problem imo. Even on most of his energetic, up tempo joints he winds up singing his hooks which can hurt the momentum of songs. He needs to learn how to rap his hooks a lot better. He does occasionally but not very well.

      2. naw his hooks are for the most part on point. Power Trip is the best hip hop single of last year. He and Miguel killed that hook.

She Knows has a dope melody to it.

I Get Up is one of his best hooks.

Work Out first verse is weak but the rest of the song is dope…especially that hook

    17. Dope. Cole stays droppin’ real solid hip-hop for ere’body. #FuxWitIt #Salute #ColeWorld #RevengeOfTheDreamers

    18. Sickest song out right now big year for cole he has always been a intelligent rapper just sick flow and story #Cole

    19. I’m fucking sick of people sleeping on cole. listen to these lyrics, listen to the stories he’s spittin, listen to the quality of this music. The Warm Up is one of the strongest debuts of all time. Fucking mainstream fiends. Ya’ll going to see sooner or later this man is the truth.

      1. nobody sleeping on him but Im still waiting on that masterpiece album and leave that single mainstream radio focus alone be more creative, pick better beats, I was disappointed in his albums a bit however I still have him in my top list because its when he delivers tracks like this im blown away. don’t sleep on omen that motion picture track was heavy.
