    1. stick a fork in this nigga, never thought i’d say this, but i look forward to a yelawolf, mac miller, act bronson album more than an em album at this point

      1. it doesnt at all for fuck sakes if you read about it he said it wont be a sequel to MMLP 1 he knows all the fans wanted it to be

    2. Amazing song. Every previous song I heard from him I feel is over produced and just not rigjt. But Every time I listen to these songs they het better and better. People jugde this album alreqdy after only hearing the streamed version . Wait a week its a 5/5 album from what I’ve heard

    3. It’s a reflection of his age and where he’s at in life. I don’t get what all the hate is for, if you don’t like it, don’t buy the album.

    4. whatever Eminem does gets hate . How about y’all shut the fuck up and listen to whoever you like and stop commenting on his posts if you hate him so much . All I see is hipster niggas claiming to listen to the underground but I don’t see so many comments and plays on those rapper’s songs

    5. This album will sell records just because it’s an em cd. I’ve been very disappointed with these tracks. I thought recovery was dope. He’s running out of material. Maybe he’s back on drugs.

      1. this is such an arrogant comment, as are many on this site. I bet you have no idea the time and logistics it takes to make a mixtape let alone a highly anticipated album such as this. If you don’t like it you don’t like it, but respect the craft of being an mc.

      2. Calling this album Recovery 2 just goes to show how stupid people are. Lol this album is NOTHING like that album. Oh, he’s got a couple singers on his tracks and he’s being emotional again?

I guess Rock Bottom, If I Had, The Way I Am, Marshall Mathers, and a few others didn’t have him complaining in them either, huh? Your favorite Eminem song is him complaining and yelling.

    6. Sometimes when I have to go to work in the early a.m. I just don’t want to, and I force myself to go because I need to live. I swear this song understands that mentality.

      1. Eminem is the rap god and he proved why with that song. The album is pretty good. You’re a hater that hates on every Eminem song even before listening to it.

    7. In this album you can see pieces that would fit in each album over his career. You see some songs that sound like the original MMLP, some like recovery, some like the eminem show and so on. This album represents his complete body of work from the beginning to the end of his career.

      1. Co-Sign.

The worst songs to me which don’t fit on this album are the Rick Rubin ones.

So Far, Love Game, Berzerk are all Rick Rubin and they are the worst songs on the album imo.

Eminem produced Brainless, So Much More and Baby which are some of thebest tracks on this record imo. His productions sound a lot like Dr Dre’s and his hooks are great. These are vintage EM and really remind me of The Eminem Show. His productions although not always so fancy really fit his style and have been some of his classics.

Evil Twin was produced partly by Dre which doesn’t surprise me. Great Track.

Besides those 3 Rick Rubin tracks, that Monster single was needed to promote the album which is okay, Survival could have been on the bonus instead, besides all of that this album is straight FIRE. Like you said, it pretty much covers his whole body of work.

I was very sceptical at first with those singles which were a huge disapointment for me, but for the album as a whole, Great Fucking job! This really tops his last 3 albums for me and really didn’t think he could give us such a great album at this point of his career.

I really recommend the fans to actually go buy this album. Deluxe edition. You can’t really go without those true gems found on the Deluxe edition also.

        Final note 8.5/10.

      2. IMO the Rubin songs are widely misinterpreted, I think the order of songs does the album more harm than any actual song, and they should have pushed So Far to the bonus section, but a lot of this album is about reflecting on the roots of hip hop, you can hear it in the almost endless references to hip hop artists in the songs. Rap didn’t used to take itself quite so seriously….remember slick rick….he was dope as shit back in the day, but if he came out today he’d be “soft” and his style a pop gimmick. I think Rubin and Em were trying to get back to the fun hip hop it used to be. I also think they were very purposeful in the Kendrick track, going that wildly unexpected route…..because when you get over the fact the beat is odd and the concept is not what you expected those two to do, the lyrical content is ridiculously good and its a really fun track

    8. just before I looked at the receipt which said $4202, I be certain that my father in law could realey earning money in there spare time online.. there sisters neighbour started doing this 4 less than fourteen months and at present took care of the dept on their place and got themselves a McLaren F1. More hints… http://smal.ly/9wYp5

    9. Extremely weak pop music. The whole album is a piece of overhyped shit. I was a fan of his first 2 albums, but from a nice mc he went to a radio friendly idiot who takes no risk.

    10. this is RAP music.. judge it first and foremost by the verses.. they are constructed brilliantly, his flow is simple and dope, and the words.. terrific

    11. All of you whining that this album is POP either haven’t heard it yet or are talking about Recovery. Yes it has pop songs, but it is in no way a pop album.

      Bad Guy
      So Much Better
      Brainless
      Evil Twin
      Baby
      Groundhog Day
      Wicked Ways
      Rap God

They are all straight Hiphop and do not include no fancy pop singer on the chorus.

The only songs i would really say is popish is The Monster, Survival and Stronger Than I Was which was actually quite good and unexpected.

Songs like Legacy and Beautiful pain do include pop singers but they are straight DOPE as fuck and they still have that Hiphop beat and feel to it besides the chorus.

Quit whining you little bitches. Best fucking album from Eminem in years.

    12. so far I have have heard some of his new songs I didn’t like bezerk. But I am just glad Eminem is back Big fan since the beginning!!!

      1. if you don’t have tv i would think that you could find it somewhere. If not you could definetely watch it tomorrow.

    13. LOL at the Stans that listening to nothing but eminem, then claim they know hip hop. This is a sad day for rap.

    14. It’s like people just forget the concept of growing and evolving. This is an album of storytelling just like the first one, but he is well aware he can never be the Eminem he was 13 years ago…and it’s like the rest don’t. This is pop to people who listen to the beats and features, but it’s hip hop to those who understand what hip hop is all about. This is some of his best work in awhile, definitely better than Recovery and Relapse…and maybe even Encore.

    15. LOL @ the people that keep saying the album is “pop”. That’s your opinion and it sucks to be you!

IMO this is a great sequel to MMLP, with ‘bad guy’ and ‘headlights’. The only songs I skip are ‘berzerk’ and ‘stronger than i was’. The bonus songs are dope as hell. Groundhog day, Legacy, Beautiful Pain, and Evil Twin are my favorite right now

      1. It’s definitely a pop album. There’s not much hip hop on this album. It’s definitely not as pop as recovery which was terrible but it’s a very weak record to be honest.

Funny that berserk is probably the best song on the album. Show hoe weak the rest of the album is.

100 percent better then his last 2 albums because I actually listened tone whole thing start to finish. I was a big em fan and the slim shady lp and Marshall Mathers lp are classics but just like jay z he can’t put out a non pop or uptempo sounding album. Probably not good enough.

On the other hand Nas killed it with Life is Good. So it shows how different the 3 artists are.

      2. Don’t know who that is. But at the moment I’m listening to jeru the Damaja’s – come clean. Real hip hop. Not like this album.

    16. This album is no way like the original.. Its trash to be honest.. And that is coming from a slim shady fan since the 90’s!!!! Fuck all the Stans… Just admit it… IT SUCKS

    17. Compared to blue chips 2 this album is lil Wayne trash. Lol.

Looks like action bronson is best white rapper now. Haha.

      1. action bronson is lyrically good and im a fan but he will never be on Ems level or lyrics outreach or legacy wise not even close he’s good but Eminem is a rap god way before he ever put that song out it goes
        Tupac
        Eminem
        Nas
        Biggie
        Dre

      2. Of all time eminem is one of the greats top 20 of all time. But bronson is making better hip hop at the moment. But there is no comparison career wise. Blue chips 2 is just way better then eminems new music.

        As far as rap gods.

        Biggie
        Rakim
        Krs one
        Nas
        Jay
        Tupac
        Ll cool j
        Scarface
        Ice cube
        Kool g rap
        Big daddy Kane

        Rap kings

        Masta ace
        AZ
        Gza
        Big pun
        Guru
        Big l
        Andre 3000
        Prodigy
        Jeru the damaja
        Redman
        Eminem
        Tragedy khadafi

      3. Nafan, first lemme say I give you credit for having a more complete knowledge of hip hop than most who comment on these songs…..most people wouldn’t know half the artists you refer to, still when you measure Em, and I would say 3000 as well, in any category against some of the rappers you have claimed GOD status, he matches or exceeds them. If you’re going to label LL, Cube, and Scarface as Gods, you’re way outta left field saying Em is only a king….he matches all of those artists in terms of impact on hip hop, lyricism (both the story telling half of it, as well the the metaphor/simile end of lyricism), and exceeds them on all the profitability metrics (sales etc….), and the things that Eminem executes from a technical standpoint on his songs….even on his weakest albums exceed what pretty much any artist can do. I understand Em will never have the same level of respect some of those artists do “in the street” but hip hop is an art form and Eminem is certainly one of the most talented artists to ever do it…..that’s why when most legitimate artists are asked who’s in their top five Em is there every time.

      4. Nafar are you serious calling action bronson the best white Rapper at the Moment? Hes Good but nowhere near the Level of rittz, yelawolf or ra the rugged man…….

    18. The only real hip hop track from the album is the call of duty ghosts bonus track.

      Don’t front feat buckshot

      1. Nafar are you serious calling action bronson the best white Rapper at the Moment? Hes Good but nowhere near the Level of rittz, yelawolf or ra the rugged man..

    19. Don’t understand the argument that Eminem is pop, and that his hooks and beats are terrible/not catchy. Pop music has catchy hooks with traditional beats. The Monster (a very mediocre song at best, mind you) and this song could be classified as pop, but that is about it.

This album is experimental, not pop. And it’s actually very well written, for all of you who claim you “aren’t concerned with the beat or hook, just lyrics” mother fuckers. GTFOH

4/5 but 5 to counter-balance the Wakka fans.

      1. Eminem has been screaming since the first marshall mathers lp. “The way i am” “remember me” “amytiville” & “kim”.

    20. Just heard Eminem ft Buckshot – don’t front.

Best track on the album. Best track ems made in years.

The whole album should have sounded like this. Not that weak pop album he keeps giving us.

      1. Did you even listen to the whole Deluxe album before commenting retard?

Brainless, So Much Better, Groundhog Day, Evil Twin, Rap God, and Baby are examples of straight hiphop tracks which NONE of them include a pop singer in the chorus, just str8 hiphop.

Bad Guy, Legacy, Beautiful for example do include a singer in the chorus but they are straight FIRE and the songs as a whole is very hiphop. Every fuckin rapper have put singers or pop artists in their chorus even in old school shit.

The only really POP tracks on this album are The Monster and probably Survival. It is nothing like Recovery. Quit fucking complaining and go listen to the god damn album before whining like a little bitchh. This is the best Eminem has released since The Eminem Show.

      2. Eminem has never had that underground old school hiphop style..Even all of his older material is mainstream hiphop, so quit fuckin bitching.

    21. Lol. This song gets 4.34, Mac Miller f. Earl Sweatshirt & Bill
“Bill” gets 4.38. Proof that there is no point trying to make an argument for em on this website. How many comments have I heard about how the hooks are weak, the beats suck. Since when were hooks and beats more important then lyrical content?

      1. Since about 2003……sadly part of this is Kanye’s fault….he made such killer beats that flipped everything on its ear it was all most people paid attention too. Ye always had the lyrical content to back it up, but it caused a lot of artists to sneak in behind him with weaker material and sell…..that’s why Rick Ross has done so well…..I haven’t heard a verse from him in 7 years that wasn’t I have cars clothes money and women, yet he does pretty well, all due to hot beats, and those annoying repeated hooks

      1. Magna Carta Holy Grail, and Nothing was the Same do more to show that hip hop is still headed in the wrong direction than this album. Jay Z basically said “Yeah it’s all about rhyming bullsh*t over hot beats so lemme get hotter beats than all you” and well Nothing was the same is 65% singing with very little lyricism in the rapped parts (exception being Too Much, that song was on point)

It seems Em tried to go two different ways simultaneously with this album which makes it confusing at times. About half the tracks seem to really fit with the MMLP2 concept and half seem to be taking hip hop back to it’s earliest roots when everything was just about fun and writing lyrics beyond I have an expensive car and women sleep with me a lot, which is where the heavily sampled Rubin tracks come in.

This album is probably the second best hip hop album behind Born Sinner this year, as the concept just didn’t come fully together but the lyrical content is still ridiculously good, and if you stop expecting MMLP2 to be exactly like MMLP1 where he says he’s going to kill everyone for 70 minutes, the songs are good hip hop songs, the beats don’t draw away from the lyrics like a lot of hip hop does. Hip hop artists will see what em is doing here and have respect for it, even if it’s not their favorite album of his.

      2. Your kidding yourself. This is another pop album by em. I admit it’s not as bad as recovery but seriously it’s a very weak album.

Blue chips 2 is way better then this.

Also the best track from the album didn’t make the album. Eminem ft buckshot – don’t front. That’s the only good hip hop song I’ve heard so far.

    22. album is dope as hell. here are my top 10 best songs from it based on production and lyricism. let me know what ya’ll think!

      1. Groundhog Day
      2. Evil Twin
      3. Bad Guy
      4. Legacy
      5. Beautiful Pain
      6. Headlights
      7. Wicked Ways
      8. Rap God
      9. Brainless
      10. So far

      1. lil different than mine

        1. Bad Guy
        2. Legacy
        3. Groundhog Day
        4. Evil Twin
        5. Wicked Ways
        6. Rap God
        7. Baby
        8. So Much Better
        9. Brainless
        10. Asshole
        11. Beautiful Pain
        12. Headlights
        13. Love Game
        14. The Monster
        15. Survival
        16. Berzerk
        17. Stronger Than I Was
        18. Rhyme or Reason
        19. So Far…
        20. Desperation

      2. This is my top 10:

        Bad Guy
        Brainless
        Legacy
        So Much More
        Wicked Ways
        Baby
        Evil Twin
        Groundhog Day
        Beautiful Pain
        Headlights

I tried to put them in order from favorite to least favorite, but a lot of them are interchangable for me, so the position doesn’t really matter.

    23. If you keep saying this shit is good then that’s what these rappers are going to give you.

      Stop defending mediocre shit.

Jay z eminem none of them have released a good album in like 8 years

      1. stfu hater.. MMLP2 is EM’s best work since The Eminem Show. Go listen to the whole thing including the bonus tracks first fuckkin retard.

    24. Nafar are you serious calling action bronson the best white Rapper at the Moment? Hes Good but nowhere near the Level of rittz, yelawolf or ra the rugged man

    25. The internet has created nothing but a bunch of music tastemakers and critics.

Who cares if its rap, pop, hip hop or whatever. At the end of the day, its music.

If you dont like it, dont listen to it! Youre so focused on the damn genre, youre missing out on the fucking message. Its a great song with a great message. Some of us dont listen to music just to critque the shit.

      1. Well to be fair they have to listen to it to know if they like it, but yeah I’m getting sick. Is this song poppy? Yes. It’s still a good song regardless, just like Recovery was a pop album but it was a good pop album.

    26. You either can appreciate a man putting his life on a beat and can relate with it or you cant.

You all sound like a bunch of spoiled ass kids

      1. just cause the song has emotion people scream “its not hip-hop its pop!!!” ….but he found a hella way to fuse it

        co sign.

    27. Great melody and message, not a fan of all the singers Em gets, but overall a great uplifting song for the World.

    28. Hate the awkward pausing in the 2nd verse but I like the song overall too much to give it less than 5 stars.

    29. If he was smart this would have been his first single.

This, legacy, and don’t front are the songs on this album actually have some soul behind it

    30. If this song was there instead of the monster, Groundhog Day instead of asshole, and baby or wicked ways instead of stronger than I was, mmlp2 would’ve been 5 star

    31. Great song. Beautiful message. A rapper like Eminem that can spit punchlines and rhyme at a technical level that rivals big pun, AND create songs that evoke strong emotions is nothing short of a legend. I hope people keep hating on Eminem so he will keep proving the haters wrong.
