      1. Really? This song may be aweful, but he usually has an ice selection of production on his album.

      2. I agree, although I like the beat but I don’t think Lupe should rap over this shit. He needs some raw beats like I dunno, EL-P or Aesop Rock, Lupe would be a much better artist in my books if he dropped all the commercial electro shit and just rapped to some fine nasty tight beats. Lupe doesn’t ride this beat at all and his lyrics are becoming horrible.

    1. how can u hate on this this beat is amazing better than tht wack drake record this is crazy hot

    2. this song is dope!

even some of the lesser quality lupe tracks are still miles ahead of most competitions in regards to creativity and lyrics.

    3. Once again it must be said: Lyrically nobody’s fucking with Lupe lyrically- his one weak point is his hooks. Every verse is lethal especially that LAST verse my god.

      1. here we go again….yawn..if you really think so is lupe fiasco exclusive to logical fallacy in hiphop???? You’re just a hater.

    4. Solid jam, and mostly happy he just ripped this track like he can instead of complaining about some shit… Hopefully this keeps up and he gets back to where he was with food and liqueur 1 and the cool.

On a side note I would love to see Lupe team up with Kanye for a couple of tracks on his next album.

      1. That where I think he is “stuck” at right now. He wants some deep message in every song. Im sure there are deeper meanings in this one as well but it has that rawness to it.

    5. Drake VS Lupe .. Like the day Drake Dropped his EP a few days before Lupe Fiasco’s first album ..

      1. Drakes fan base- bitches and bitch ass niggas. Honestly, there are alot of them so of course he’s going to win in sales.

    6. yall can say what you want but even lasers was not bad at all. Maybe 3 or 4 songs were bad, but the rest actually was good. Nice to see that lupe still can rip a track apart

    7. The hook was meh, but Lupe’s verses killed that shit. Lupe is nice and always has been. The beat is cool and it’s not too far from his style. The people complaining about the beat saying it’s “electronic bullshit” and how he needs to work with “real hip-hop producers” need to understand that with the exception of his mixtapes, Lupe never really rapped over traditional boom-bap beats in the first place. His beats always had somewhat of a futuristic sound to them, just check F&L and The Cool. Nonetheless, it’s good to hear that he’s starting to rap with passion again.

    8. I’ve listen to this and Danny Brown song like 20 times already, and I’m still deciphering the lyrics. They both have shit that fly’s over most peoples heads.

    9. Heat! Other than Lasers, Lupe is always on point!!!

      #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner#BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner ALBUM OF THE YEAR #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner #BornSinner

    10. It’s a fucking shame how Lupe has fallen off so badly after The Cool. There were a few nice songs on FNL2, but he’s too inside his own head. He’s starting to become like Canibus with his horrible beat choices and boring rapping. Get your soul back, Lu. Where’s Soundtrakk

      1. People Like you the one holding lupe buck if u want hes old shit Go and buy it this song is dope as fuck and sex hottest song in the site !!

      2. Both of you shut the fuck up, faggots. He’s terrible now, you can tell he’s not enjoying making music anymore

      3. I agree actually. His heart ain’t into it anymore and he hides it through sententious lyrics with perfunctory rhyme schemes and a lazy flow. I’m sure he means what he says, it just doesn’t seem like he puts the amount of work into that he used to. It’s a shame cause he used to be my favorite rapper.

      4. Personally, I think this song is better than most of the songs on F&L 2. It’s more lyrical, has more replay value, and it sounds like he actually wants to rap. I literally listened to F&L 2 for 2 weeks then I was done with it. Obviously he’s getting back where he needs to be. People need to stop being so quick to say someone fell off. The 1st, 3rd, and last anons need to “fall off” the face of the earth lol

    11. Lupe needs a collabo album with Kanye. They’re both in their heads they need to get back to that “Touch the Sky” feel. And RZA needs to produce the whole album.

    12. “Got no rights like NASCAR, or a black man in the deep south during Jim Crow with the po-lice.
      That’s 99 problems with a ho twice
From no life to Frankenstein, got it stitched up. I’m so nice!”

      He’s a problem!

    13. go rap genius to see the genius of lupe. but disregard the explanations for first 8 bars…they are off.

    14. Lyrics are nice but I’m sick of these fucking techno, wack beats. Get back to the F&L 1, Fahrenheit mixtapes sound.

    15. lol this dude Lupe can’t seem to win. When he was lyrical in the beginning of his career, people complained and said he needed to dumb it down(F&L and The Cool). He did, then people said he needed to be lyrical again(Lasers). He started being lyrical again and then people complained about the beats (Friend of the People). He changed the beats(and was lyrical) but people started complaining saying he was being too preachy (F&L 2) LOL. At the end of the day people will never be satisfied. Moral of the story: Fuck what people say 🙂

      1. his main problem is his cboice of beats. the productions on lasers , friend of the people, enemy of the state were truely terrible.

it got so bad i didnt even bother listening to food and liquor 2.

    16. I think it’s funny when people behind a fucking keyboard can see where Lupe’s dedication lies, and can pinpoint when his heart “isn’t in it anymore”.

yeah what you got access to his diary? got a hold of his sister at a coffee shop or somethin? typical fucking hipster talk, especially those with their daily dose of “stan” and “dickriding” vocabulary, when they were in the same god damned position when F&L 1/The Cool dropped. all of a sudden, nah these “stans” ain’t smart enough to like the same things they like, right? fuck off

      keep killin em Lupe.

    17. ^^ Wow, went straight to talking about somebody’s genitals lol. There’s no doubt in my mind you’re heterosexual (sarcasm). Have a nice day Richard Simmons lol. And be sure to check out that website I gave you, get all the latest news lol

    18. Give Lupe the “rewind that” crown! This is hot but not his best. I give it a 4. A 5 when compared to mainstream.

    19. My YOUTH sounds just like lightening comin down! Raiden it’s time to open the portal and let the super saiyan’s out! You thought the dark could take the light? That’s saying like left is right!

    20. Lupe so sick wit word play, he needs to do a joint album with Asher Roth…they both know how to flow and play with words like it a roller coaster ride

    21. who the hell always produces this guy? great rapper but always way too much going on with his instrumentals. his lyrics are so good that he should be using simple beats that he can MURK

      1. Absolutely. It’s a problem with a lot of lyrical artist, especially those looking for mainstream success. They try to ensure the music is as artfully complex as their words, but they fail to realize that it just creates a convoluted product.
With the words you want to challenge a persons curiosity, but not insult their ignorance. With music, you want it to be a backdrop or mood setter but not something that must also be focused on.

    22. I just want him to make an album with a full orchestra.
Nas did it Kanye did it and Go Go Gadget Flow live is AMAZING.

    23. this beat actually not that bad the lines are clever and complex sorta like Lupe going over niggas heads again-ILL

    24. and its funny cause his biggest hits (Kick, Push; Superstar, Daydreamin’) have been over somewhat simple instrumentals.

      1. YESSS. couldnt put it better myself.

was bumping F&L 1 in the whip the other day and that Lupe is just non existent

      1. Hot shit lol. Those are the types of beats Lupe needs to rap over. Lu and Elzhi on a track together would be dope too

    25. every lyric online suggests something different but if you listen closely hes saying some big thangs people….shots at drake and cole (illuminatti) “And that big ol car, that bass shake that little bars on my base tape and that drake off wanna waco all them j cole’s” just sayin listen…

      1. 16 years old and im from holland prettiee sure i understand more then u. even tough my english sucks. ,

      1. Lol u mad bro? Don’t worry about it. You’ll eventually move out your mom’s basement. Keep hope alive

    26. mad respect to Lupe — one of the only rappers who didn’t sell his soul and has the guts to call out obama and the banksters who control this world. keep doin yo thing. i hope you live long enough to awaken more people

    27. I personally thought that this track was pretty dope and contrary to the majority of the comments below, I also thought that the beat was really slick and unique. But then musical tastes are quite subjective. Just glad to hear someone in the Hip-Hop mainstream who actually has the balls to make tracks that are socially conscious and intelligent.

      1. Fuck off. These days anyone who expresses their opinion and speaks up about all the bullshit around them are considered haters and cry babies when really they’re the only ones who have courages. It’s dudes like YOU that are pussy ass robots that don’t have the balls to do anything except agree with whatever is popular. One day, if you ever become a MAN, maybe you’ll actually have a mind of your own and you’ll start to speak up too. You fuckin’ scared ass simple minded ass cyborg.

    28. If you’re a Hip Hop ni**a how can you not like this song !

Always going to be one of my favorite rappers.
