Honest, introspective track. RZA comes 100 on the production and Jay and Ye come 100 on the verses. Refreshing subject matter as well. We need more of this from artist in the game.

“Sorry Junior, I already ruined ya, Cuz you ain’t even alive, paparazzi pursuin’ ya” – Jay on some deep shit.
To me, WTT was good, not great or anything special. I really didn’t expect better based on both their last albums. But damn this song hot. Props to both of them and RZA
i not one to ever hate but i think this song sucks. beat is stupid chorus is annoying and the lyrics arent up to par if were suppose to be “watch the Throne”

The best I’ve heard in a long time. A real song with meaningful lyrics is hard to come by these days and I love the autotune hook giving that old school feel.
so when illmatic came out and people were saying it was a classic because it just came out that it wasnt? go back to making 2.50 an hour at ur burger joint in the ghetto
Niggas got a convoluted definition of CLASSIC. Why don’t you start by looking the definition of the word up….there is no such thing as an instant classic.

probably everyone now that they heard this. am i the only person that actually likes the way it sounds? everyones sampled this so it needed a different sound, otherwise why do it again.
This song is the definition of Hip Hop. Don’t know how anyone can hate on this. Kanye came through on some Nas shit and Jay dropped his best verese since American Gangster. The beat fits it perfectly and sets the vibe. Easily the best track on the album.
Hes saying this song is the definition of Hip Hop, not saying that this song defines Hip Hop. But nonetheless this song IS Hip Hop. Kanye & Jay aint rapping about the luxurious shit & whatnot. Just talking to their unborn sons. I can respect that. So if u ask me, this song IS the definition of Hip Hop. Not saying its HIP HOP in general. Ya feel me?
Changing your name and commenting on your own post to back up your answer is faggot as. This isnt Hip-hop/Gangsta song, although I like this song. Fuckin idiot go listen to some real Hip Hop. Bad meet Evil will make you sheit your pants if you think this is hip-hop
This guy isn’t me. Just because he agrees? This shit IS Hip Hop. I can appreciate this compared to close minded faggots like you. Bad Meets Evil is really nice, especially the absolutely flows and wordplay. I own the physical copy, but that doesn’t hold me away from liking and appreciating this other kind of Hip Hop. Plus, I’m sure and confident that I know WAY more about Hip Hop than YOU ever will, I can name countless rappers that I’ve been listening to for years tha you’ve never of. BTW, using the term ”real hip hop” disqualifies you basically for any serious discussion. A thing like this only exists in your imagination. 90% of your favorite rappers would name Jay as one of their biggest influences and call an all time great.
For an album to be considered a classic doesn’t mean every song has to be great, its about the timing of an album, and this album stands out because they didnt focus on making “hot records” they made good music they made songs you can have conversations about, thought provoking shit not just two mc’s having riddle battles over a beat with no substance behind it. Im not saying that they have a classic yet but this album is standing out right now
all the talk about this song being “real hiphop”, and this album being a classic. get fuckin serious. these devil worshippin, atheist(no church in the wild) overrated punks make completely uninspired, meaningless music. you want to hear real HIPHOP on this subject, then listen to this. 2pac – letter to my unborn child. not only does the song have better lyricism and production, you can feel the passion and energy of real revolutionary, an orginal and creative hiphop artist, a TRUE LEGEND! and he acknowledges theres a God if you need, got shot 5 times and still breathing. RIP ‘pac.
the album has great potential to be a classic in the long run.. tracks like this one, murder to excellence, made in america, why i love you so.. and even welcome to the jungle hit real hard with lyrics and production. Even the joints filled with the braggin and what not are pretty slick..#possible classic
Its a cool track, but what the hell is up with the autotuned singing robo voice though? It’s pretty annoying sounding I would have preffered the didn’t autotune the shit out of it through the whole song and left it as it is like in the end. But hey its a pretty cool concept and track I suppose
No if you hear at the end it sounds normal, it sounds better, but they ran that sample through autotune through the whole song except the end. Should have kept autotune away in my opinion
Didn’t anybody notice the Otis video was shot over a faster version of the song and then slowed down to the original speed? Notice how the whole video was in slow motion like?
WTT is going to be a classic. This for 35 and over people. This how music should be done by Giants in the game!! 5/5 all day!! not the GAME, buster ass nigga
Whether or not an album is “Classic” is something that is determined years after its release. Now, an album can SOUND “classic”, and this one does at times. In fact, nothing on this album sounds new, at all. Get outside of rap (Aphex Twin, Yes, Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Terry Riley, Daft Punk, etc.) and you’ll see that people have experimented with sounds that are way more “outside the box” than this. All Kanye is doing is exposing this type of sound to a genre that has become one-dimensional for its lack of experimentation. As a producer, he should be lauded. As a rapper, eh. I prefer others. That said, I have both of their discographies.
Thing about rap is, its been about one-upping the next person. Really selfish and arrogant and that’s what rap suffers and prospers from. Its a catch-22. The only way it’s gonna move forward is by collaborative effort. When we get great minds to come together and make great music, it has the potential to progress the artform. Case in point, Bad Meets Evil and Slaughterhouse. More peopl
Putting sample through autotune.. Genius..
J’s rhym pattern was not that great but the subject matter is real.. Respect Jay Ye and the producers.. This is timeless.
No way man. Not a chance, Rae would of gone too god-body shit on this track. Wouldn’t fit at all w/ this one. I most definitely “like” hearing Lex Diamonds more than HOV and Ye, these boys are far more versatile. Good thought though. I’ll give you that. How bout someone like Common on that beat? Common might of just been perfect on this one…
Great song 5/5. The RZA’s production is excellent, with the Nina Simone sample. And Ye & Jay’s lyrics are really heartfelt and on some real shxt. If you don’t like this track, you just must have a basic ass mind
please please new gen of hip hop .. there is no way this trac should be less than 5 .. i cant even rate this a 5 .. its worth way more.. this is classic hip hop at its best .. this joint and the joy is h.hop at its puriest .. 10 stars ..good shit rza n ye yeezy
He runs the sample through a number of filters, though. That’s not Nina Simone’s natural voice. That’s why people hear the sample and think auto-tune, because the timbre is affected. Before you call someone a faggot, make sure you know what you’re talking about.
The type of processor that people call “auto-tune” is called a vocoder, if you have ever mixed, edited, recorded, or run sound with on/offboard effects. I can almost guarantee you that the Nina Simone sample used in this song is run through a vocoder, among other filters. Thing is, the auto-tune we’re used to hearing (aka T-Pain) is a vocoder cranked WAY THE FUCK UP, so there is a notable difference betweent the auto-tune we’ve become accustomed to, and a healthy amount of vocoder. Using a vocoder to add effect to a sound isn’t evil, in itsself. Its when ignorant producers start using it, ad-nauseum, on every track that it becomes annoying and spurs Jay-Z to call for its death.
NVM…..shit is wack…..these fuckers are insulting our intelligance with this watered down album..leave hip hop to the ones that care about the progression of the movemnt…FUCK JAY Z AND KANYE
I don’t know, I usually don’t like autotune, but I think it fits with the cadence of this song. And for the record, it IS autotune, the original sample doesn’t sound like that, and they even play the original sample with no autotune at the end. But anyways it’s a great song.
People just stop hearing music nowadays all niggaz care about is the beat and chorus go take yal dumb ass somewhere and buy an instrumental cd then. This song is crazy dope and this album is dope yal niggaz got used to hearing these mixtape type albums where niggaz just rhyme over the same type beats and dont say shit
I have a biased opinion being a cult-like WU head, but honestly ya’ll, I love this song. I think the production is vintage Bobby, but it most definitely has a relavent, updated sound and feel that the youth of today will recognize as well (ie. auto-tune)
Just hearing HOV say “Me and the RZA Connect!!!”…F’ing blows my mind. lol

Yeah, hes pretty much infatuated at this point. But hey, he’s had a fucked up life, so what can you do? Cant get in his head and fix it. Let him pick fights for no reason. He just ends up looking stupid for it.
i saw baby from cash money say that drake and wayne are fresher and younger like this the fuckin nba or something. drake and wayne are great artists but jayz has 20 year olds and 50 year olds listening to his music. jay and kanye make great music, not music that caters to a certain demographic.
right! j and yezzy is 3d and drake is hard and lilwanye is dope but thats a fucked up comparison. baby need his pants kicked for even put it out there like that.
This track would of been doper if Kanye didn’t add all that agressive autotune bullshit. I simple hook by a good vocalist woulda been dope cause the base instrumental that was obviously RZA’s creation is awesome. Nonethless good track
tupac i get around, flipped by rza the wu gen. this song knocks hard, the temple of this song is the backbone, its the right bpm that makes this simple as beat go hard as it is.
this is real hip hop, if you a true artest you need a banger that will carry the album. its by far the hard track on the album as well as that swss beatz track too. they can have the rest.
best track on the album!
watch the throne !!! me and the rza connect big tune real talk
Wu tang and roc nation. Sign of things to come suckas! Automatic 5.
calm down…rza and kanye stay working together
Wow! Instant classic. RZa still got it

yeah I don’t like that auto tune…
it isn’t autotune assholes
Actually, it is auto-tunISH, but it’s just the Nina Simone sample that they put through it. Not like either one of them is singing through auto-tune.
this shit wack not even on no hating shit

He also said Kanye knew how to do autotune right. For Jay its the gimmicky autotune that rappers were using at the time that was pissing him off.
It is not auto-tune, learn music before you judge it please.
I defer to the previous comments.

Lol…But if it wasn’t jay and kanye i bet the beat would be hot right?? Kill yourself
all i see are trolls and dickriders be a little less emotional about it its music you like or you dont you dont have to hype the shit out of it and you dont have to trash it chilll homies
Some people care more about music than others. To some music is just recreation, others literally live for it.
dont get me wrong i loveeeee music it just irks me to see people overly judgmental on a piece of work from someone else but i also find it somewhat childish to instantly brand something a classic express what it feels like but dont overhype
what kind of faggot devotes their life for music? lmfao sad
that was my fav track on the album

GREATTEST
One of the top 5 tracks of the album along with Niggas in Paris, Welcome to the Jungle, Murder to Excellence, and Why I Love You.
Probably my fav from a better than average album
Also, folks can say what they want about how good/bad ‘WTT’ is and about Jay & Kanye’s supposed “affiliations”, but they’re definitely schooling some young’ns on good music. Love the Nina Simone sample! ‘Feeling Good’
Shits a classic nigga. WAY ABOVE average. You’ll see.

If a track starts off the bat with auto-tune, its not a classic.
Niggas got a convoluted definition of CLASSIC. Why don’t you start by looking the definition of the word up….there is no such thing as an instant classic.
classic (adj): something that is a perfect example of a particular style, something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality.
Hmmm sounds a lot like WTT to me.
Ixnay off my dicksnay
ALL I mean ALL the songs on WTT are excellent. Fuck what ya’ heard.

Cant stand that voice in the backround. Ruins the song imo. Otherwise would have been tight RT
beautiful song.

this album is definately NOT a classic. Not even close.
Every song on Watch The Throne was good… whats the last album you said that about
hell: the sequel
WTT, not every song was good. Lift off was wack as fuck, you can defend it as much as you want, but that shit wasn’t hip hop at all, not even 1%. Also made in america, and why i love you are both wack!
Lol, good one tim.

Maybe I’m tripping, but they just made mediocrity cool and vulnerability a contradiction.
WHO THE FUCK PUTS THEIR SAMPLES THROUGH AUTOTUNE!
RZA IS A GENIUS.
Fuck off you dick. Ill crucify you again.
probably everyone now that they heard this. am i the only person that actually likes the way it sounds? everyones sampled this so it needed a different sound, otherwise why do it again.
Kanye’s verse was heartfelt…
“& I’ll neva let ’em eva hit the strip club;
I learned the hard way, that aint the play to get love/”
Beautiful song.
This song is the definition of Hip Hop. Don’t know how anyone can hate on this. Kanye came through on some Nas shit and Jay dropped his best verese since American Gangster. The beat fits it perfectly and sets the vibe. Easily the best track on the album.
the definition of hip hop???? hahahahahahaha, how old are you? 12 years old?

Plus, I’m sure and confident that I know WAY more about Hip Hop than YOU ever will, I can name countless rappers that I’ve been listening to for years tha you’ve never of. BTW, using the term ”real hip hop” disqualifies you basically for any serious discussion. A thing like this only exists in your imagination. 90% of your favorite rappers would name Jay as one of their biggest influences and call an all time great.
*amazing
*incredible flows
RIP ‘pac.

co-sign!!!
Its hard to hate on that track, but I know you’ll find a way
psh..RZA kanye and hov? nough said.. HEAT
the album has great potential to be a classic in the long run.. tracks like this one, murder to excellence, made in america, why i love you so.. and even welcome to the jungle hit real hard with lyrics and production. Even the joints filled with the braggin and what not are pretty slick..#possible classic
no church in the wild is tough too
Its a cool track, but what the hell is up with the autotuned singing robo voice though? It’s pretty annoying sounding I would have preffered the didn’t autotune the shit out of it through the whole song and left it as it is like in the end. But hey its a pretty cool concept and track I suppose
Thats not autotune. Thats a Nina Simone sample. Thats how her voice sound.
No if you hear at the end it sounds normal, it sounds better, but they ran that sample through autotune through the whole song except the end. Should have kept autotune away in my opinion
Didn’t anybody notice the Otis video was shot over a faster version of the song and then slowed down to the original speed? Notice how the whole video was in slow motion like?
that and every other video. its not a new technique.
Very heart felt song…. It was raw and honest…. 5/5… Don’t bother replying i don’t see hate. Good day.
da album isnt a classic get those niggas dicks
WTT is going to be a classic. This for 35 and over people. This how music should be done by Giants in the game!! 5/5 all day!! not the GAME, buster ass nigga
classic record, not a classic album
yo son, i thought autotune was dead
classic
best track on WTT! thank you RZA!!!
yak!
It would be way better without autotune. And “me and Rza connect” sounds dumb. 2/5. And about the album, I expect to be the same level, if not worse.
It’s a homage to Incarcerated Scarfaces.
then go listen to ferrari boyz retard!!
FIRE!!!! FIRE!!!!! This hit jam! Best song on WTT
I second this.. Although, I do love Kanye’s older stuff.
Yeah I prefer his older stuff too. It seems as if he took himself less serious.
Would love to see Yelawolf jump on a Kanye Beat, that would be some wacky, interesting stuff right there.
This is timeless.
whats the point of putting this song up everyone def got the album already!
GO GET THIS!!! http://www.datpiff.com/Adveket-Mass-Consumption-mixtape.248132.html
i would have given this beat to RAEKWON, myself.
Common might of just been perfect on this one…
fans, they understand my plan, who’s the kid up in the green land? me n the RZA connect, blow a fuse, u lose, half ass crews get demolished n bruised
Great song 5/5. The RZA’s production is excellent, with the Nina Simone sample. And Ye & Jay’s lyrics are really heartfelt and on some real shxt. If you don’t like this track, you just must have a basic ass mind
They really couldn’t of come up with a better beat? The chorus is the worst!
please please new gen of hip hop .. there is no way this trac should be less than 5 .. i cant even rate this a 5 .. its worth way more.. this is classic hip hop at its best .. this joint and the joy is h.hop at its puriest .. 10 stars ..good shit rza n ye yeezy
This chorus gets it a 1/5. Horrid.
scumbag Jay-Z: makes a song about the death of auto-tune, then makes a song with auto-tune.
he doesnt use autotune you faggot. its a sample. And he said he would never use autotune, and he didnt.
get off reddit
Ok….this is dope….Im waiting for the physical release…so Im hoping theres a few songs like this…this and The Joy..great music
I think the production is vintage Bobby, but it most definitely has a relavent, updated sound and feel that the youth of today will recognize as well (ie. auto-tune)
Just hearing HOV say “Me and the RZA Connect!!!”…F’ing blows my mind. lol
hot!
YEP KNEW IT’D BE SOME GAY FISH SHIT
RZA SUCKS

i saw baby from cash money say that drake and wayne are fresher and younger like this the fuckin nba or something. drake and wayne are great artists but jayz has 20 year olds and 50 year olds listening to his music. jay and kanye make great music, not music that caters to a certain demographic.
right! j and yezzy is 3d and drake is hard and lilwanye is dope but thats a fucked up comparison. baby need his pants kicked for even put it out there like that.
HAM
This track would of been doper if Kanye didn’t add all that agressive autotune bullshit. I simple hook by a good vocalist woulda been dope cause the base instrumental that was obviously RZA’s creation is awesome. Nonethless good track
rapping out kids you dont even have DATS SOME REAL SHIT
album of the year
i like this track…deep. 5 stars
yeah it wont grow old on you.
hell yea
tupac i get around, flipped by rza the wu gen. this song knocks hard, the temple of this song is the backbone, its the right bpm that makes this simple as beat go hard as it is.
this is real hip hop, if you a true artest you need a banger that will carry the album. its by far the hard track on the album as well as that swss beatz track too. they can have the rest.
Rza produced this song not Swizz. Maybe thatas why I love it. Jay even used Raekwon line: Me and the Rza connect. Kanye also says it before his verse.
one of the hardest tracks on this album by far. If you got a son on the way, you’ll feel what I’m saying times ten
How can I download this track… any help please
Dope shit
If you have any father son situation this song relates
Dope song
Best song on on of the best albums of the year
This song gets me everytime. Real touching. And its sad how this masterpiece is under the radar.
