    1. 10TH NIGGA IN THE WU TANG.
THE GODS CALL HIM THE 36TH CHAMBER.
      PROPHETIC CYPHERS.
LONG LIVE NAS ‘GOD’S SON’ NAS, KING OF NEW YORK.

      1. New York has so many great mc I would say that they don’t have king of ny. They need a commission, with all them heads coming together. U got 50′ nas, jay, fab, kiss, juelzv santannna, maino, camron, steles p, sheik, Lloyd banks, ado, az, papoose, uncle murder. They can help that new York sound flourish nation wide. Imagine the music all those dudes can come up with if they work together, creatively they would comebup with some shit.

    2. A lot of great hip hop out at the moment. It’s funny – this reminds me why Nas is one of the greatest rappers alive. Is he the best???

    3. This song sucks ass. Nas fell off since his first album. Only his stans cling to his new music even though it’s TRASH. His album is gonna flop, and I;m gonna laugh.
      Lil Wayne Discography>>>>>>>>> Nas discography

      1. You’re a dickhead. You don’t like Nas fine. But to say he fell off… ?!? You probably don’t even know illmatic and just give it credit because its a known classic. What about stillmatic? N? Stone cold dickhead!

      2. Another person that knows nothing about hip hip. Lil wayne to Guccie didn’t make up hip hop fool. Nas is the only rapper who has gotten 2 5 mic albums. And everything after that has been 4 mics albums. Plus, Nas has platinum plaques for ever album inclunding Nastrodomus fool! hahaha. So learn some real hip hip history before you say bogus statements!

      3. I bet you think lil Wayne can rap and baby too,hip hop is more than a stupid dance and a club beat with lyrics that don’t rhyme and mean nothing. Hip hop was about saying something and creatively using words that rhyme. Nas is a gifted rapper that delivers consistently. He gave us illmatic, it was written, I am, nastradamas, hip hop is dead, niggardly, gods son, stigmatic. Stop batting. I can listen to all of those. Records straight too.

      4. LMAO @ at wanting to bring up a point and then only naming Stillmatic, which basically proves his point. Not that I would agree though. BTW, Wayne’s wordplay >>> Nas’.

      5. Dude you are so right Nas cannot touch Lollipop or Prom Queen. Those songs are pure hip hop

    4. Nas, hands down is one of the greatest lyricist in Hip-Hop history. There so many fucking stupid people in the world that listens to a couple of songs with a fresh beat and think its real music. Well, FUCK THAT SHIT! This is as real as it gets.

    5. it sounds like his dream is God is asking him will he “take up his cross and follow him” or choose to entertain the world secular or kill somebody. and while his friend chose to kill some one he chose to be successful and he got the world in the palm of his hand… which to say he lost his soul? idk im kinda high

    6. This is wack. Everything nas touches is wack he is slightly wacker than eminem. two most overrated emo homos ever

      1. eminem and nas are the greatest ever while wayne is the gayest. all he says is fuck the world and make it cum hard. gay

      2. I agree, nas and eminem are overrated. But so is Pac. Most people are! There I said it. No apologies. I don’t care who hates me. If you knew me, you’d know that!

    7. Zzzz.. Just cause its Nas being deep doesn’t mean ya’ll gotta act like ya’ll like it… Big Nas fan but this is a miss… Very wack record

    8. I’m sorry — but I’m feeling this.. Yea yea.. the beat is laid back and smooth. Better production perhaps but solid effort. LISTEN TO THE LYRICS.

      1. Pretty ironic posting this under a track where he’s using a flow that’s the definiton of basic. Not only that, I wouldn’t call Nas a crazy flower by any means, AZ and many others got him on that.

    9. THIS IS ONE BELOW AVERAGE
SOUND LIKE A LOCAL RAP OUT A LOCAL STUDIO
DID DUDE LOST IT SO AL PUT A 2 ON IT

    10. Its not his best but i can see it growing on people. but its not like its going on his album or anything. I think he just testing out different sounds to see how the fans react. but i can tell its deep so alot of people wont understand or can get wit it so they wont like it. but shit how much material is out thats hot these days. He woke but up and is going to give us a classic album

    11. My co-worker dont like him cause he dont understand him.lmao Average listener but loves Ace Hood and weezy….

    12. Not Nas’ greatest, but a good album filler if that’s what it is. The beat brought it down, gotta team back up with The Alchemist again Nas!

    13. I can’t stand Keyshia Cole, but she’s chill chill on the track, like on some old Faith Evans shit. Dope joint though…

    14. DX should note that this is a reference track for Diddy’s “Press Play” album. I think it’s a good thing not hearing Diddy spit this verse. He woulda sounded terrible.

    15. Nas is definitely a legend & one of the greats!

Actually digging the beat and hook from Keisha but something about this flow doesn’t seem hungry or is missing something. But then again, doesn’t sound like a finished record so… maybe it’ll be better.

    16. Laid back and smooth to the utmost… and the production is nice… Esco really makes you think when he delivers at this pace and with this depth

People need to make up their mind about criticizing this man… when the lyrics are on point [always are] the beats are weak… when the beats bang his lyrics are lacking… when the hook is tight his flow is off

Nas has faced the highest level of scrutiny OF ANY EMCEE EVER in the game since Illmatic… and people still consider him the GOAT… who else can say that? And look how he has maintained his level over 20+ years… Can Jay say that? Btw… this shits on OTIS

      1. Well no MC, not matter how great is above scrutiny/criticism. It’s good people doubt and criticizes 1 of the greats because it keeps him on his A-game & it lets them know that we are listening and are dissecting their muzik… That’s a win-win.

    17. Wow this shyt is dope..move Keisha from the verses though…of course keep her on the chorus but she get annoying shouting wen Nas is laying it down..IMO..beatz dope

    18. love nas but way too many dickriders. yall probably gave this a 5 before you clicked play. bunch of actors. cut it out. this is average at best.

    19. Who put a talented R&B vocalist like Keyshia Cole on a song with no melody or rhythm? This trash ass beat forced an awfully dull and dissonant chorus.
not that it’s their fault, but the hook is just way off. Nas did his thing right and Keyshia Cole’s performance was good but the beat was garbage. The best rap verse and vocal performances from both of these artists wouldn’t have saved this song. it was more of an interlude/quick 16 or straight spitting beat than one for a singalong RNB and Hip Hop Collabo. Nas needs to fire his A&Rs and hire some songwriters. He was always a good lyricist but his downfall was always the musc and his song writing. Rap verses and melodies/harmonies are two different things. this track was a waste of both he and Keyshia Cole’s time. Choppy, no real melodic value, just bad music for artists of this caliber. no wonder hip hop record labels are going broke. They put premier artist on second tier music. They need to hire professional music writers to get back to what it was. They should of cut back their budget on talentless artists/gimmicks and hired pro songwriters and producers to develop and nurture those with real talent. We need to keep this hip hop movement strong but as is there is way too much talent being wasted and misguided. this song is the perfect example of it. this song gets a 3 because the artists couldn’t have been better than the music they were working with.

      1. Why don’t you send some songs to his peoples then? Yeah, thats what I thought!
Nas has SO many great SONGS not just raps

    20. This shit ill!!! Y’all are hating hard on this man. I think people jus say the stuff about the beats cause they can’t say shit about his lyrics. You nerds always need something to moan about. The beat hot too…. and Keyshia. Stop hating on Nas

      1. hating hating hating hating hating hating hating. man shut the fuck up already. everybody hating huh.

      2. You can’t critique anything nowadays without being a hater in these people’s minds. Ever thought that those constructive criticism comes more than often from great fans? It’s to make sure that they’re continue to make great music.

      3. I agree with this dude… This song is great. I thought it was going to be bad after I read the comments.

You guys hold Nas to a higher standard then other rappers and it’s not fair. This track is better then what 99% of the game is doing right now.

If this sucked, I would be the first to say, but this song is excellent. Check what other sites have to say about it. This is the only site that is saying it’s a bad song.

    21. I got enough from Nas’ simple ass rhymes. You can’t be the greatest if you always choose the simple way out.

      1. How are these rhymes “simple”??? Have you listened to Jay-Z or Kanye or Game or 50 Cent…Or any rapper? Who the hell is writing shit like this in the game? You people just don’t like the man personally.

    22. Y’all can quit about the beat selection. Nas had nothing to do with it. This is a song that didn’t make DIDDY’s album back in 2006. So why blame Nas?? Either Nas penned this for Diddy or he was featured on it. So give the Nas picked another crappy beat a break. Diddy left it off HIS album for a reason.

    23. This was a reference track for Diddy’s Press Play album in “2005” so stop the hating and Hiphopdx please add that info to your article

    24. Well, back to Ghetto Dreams btw…
“Update: According to Rap Radar, this track was recorded back in 2005 as part of the sessions for Diddy’s Press Play.”

      It’s unfinished btw

    25. wtf is wrong with you people, yall are all just brainwashed to being accustomed to the usual wack shit that play on the fucking radio. This is alright, personally i like the beat alot but i can do without keisha cole
