A Sade and Jay-Z collaboration was discussed a while back. Apparently Hov sped up the process by getting on a remix to ‘The Moon and the Sky’.

    1. This shit is wack, the vocals and the rap is ok, but wtf is up with the beat. Its sounds like some Lady Gaga music – they need to get Lex Luger to remix this beat and make that shit bang hard as fuck.

      1. You have GOT to be joking… lex luger shit is redundant TRASH… This isnt a beat, its musical production youngin. Wake up

    2. the original is better.

this isnt terrible, but sade makes classic matierial, hard to make a classic, more classic.

      3/5

    3. I thought sade had said she wasn’t interested in working with Jay-z even though she didn’t in this case because it’s a remix. and i agree with @nuc … sade is on another level. different playing field

      1. “I thought sade had said she wasn’t interested in working with Jay-z even though she didn’t in this case because it’s a remix.” so you may be the dumdum,, as its been clarified above that sade wasnt part of this collab

    4. horrible song…..i got respect for J and sade but it just didnt work…..people like to dick ride just because of the stars in certain songs and like it automaticly…..not me i judge it all the same…. would i bump it in my ride and for this NO NO NO

      1. u entitled to your opinion but it wasn’t dat bad of a rmx. to b honest it wuz jus a new beat and a verse from hov. it wasn’t the best but it wuz decent. like i said u entitled to how u feel

    5. Jay is big in hiphop…Sade is big in MUSIC…I like Jay steppin up and tryin to spit on a CLASSIC but it’s like putting him and me and a hip hop track…STUPID.

      1. This is stupid. Why would you box an artist in? This is a wonderful sign for hiphop that an artist can step out of the norm and make a wonderful song with another wonderful artist.

    6. Why do people act like Jay doesnt have 11 number 1 albums? Like he doesnt deserve to hop on a track with ANYONE on ANY GENRE?

come on man, open your eyes. Hip Hop is the most popular music out now. It went from a small thing to the most popular music

    7. The biggest-selling genre of music, according to the most recent statistics from the Recording Industry Association of America, is Rock (31.8%) followed by Rap/Hip Hop (10.7%). Pop music sales are separate from Rock (9.1%). R&B/Urban is separate from Rap/Hip Hop (10.2%). Note that Rock sales are greater than sales of Rap/Hip Hop, Pop, and R&B/Urban combined.

      My eyes are wide open.

    8. All you idiots asking WHY? Is the verse Jay spit dope? Does it sound forced or does it sound like it fits? Ok now shut the F*** up and enjoy a great song.

    9. Funny how when Jay-Z mentions God in his verses, all these conspiracy theorist are no where to be found. Keep focusin’ on the negative shit you scum of the slums.

      1. so fucking true, it’s like when he talks about almost losing his faith in god on lost one nobody talks about that shit.

      2. These conspiracy theorists are idiots anyway. No evidence, no proof, no videos, no written testimony yet they are so entrenched in their fantasy world. Sorry but we need more than speculation to work in the world today.

      3. lol your an idiot. proof? look around you. look how expensive everything is (food, gas, water, medicine, doctors), we get shit on by rich people and corporations. get out of the rat race. conspiracy my ass, i dont give a fuck about no “illuminati” but thats more or less a distraction from the big picture. only fools speak of the illuminati, even if it is real. it just shows a lack of intelligence.

    10. this man is really a genius i can’t believe that used his mind and find out how to get in her lane… he got a lot of his mind to say the least hahah… super intelligent

      1. With all due respect, and know that I like Jay Elec., but ain’t nobody on a large enough scale ever going to be checking for Jay Elec. Dude is what 34-35 with one hot song that a limited amount of people knows about under his belt commercially. Also, his style of rap a person has to build an audience for it for years. If Nas were just starting out commercially into today’s climate of rap he would never be as successful as he is now regardless of how good he is. Jay Elec is best suited for featuring and feeding those of us who like lyrics. We are a very small portion of hip-hop heads.

      2. i dont know man, all you need is one hot song and i believe jay elec can pull it off the dude speaks true.. i have hope, you never know. right now he’s set up pretty good with roc nation and getting advertisements and shit so he can work on his music. he just has to start makin moves

    11. Jay-Z’s verse on this song is garbage. He sounds like a chipmunk on helium. His delivery is ass. His flow is completely off beat on every song. Dude can’t stay on beat to save his life

      1. jason i wish you were next to me, so i could slap you and tell you that you are completely wrong. jays flow is always on beat, and his delivery is always perfect

        MJ hemp jay fadeaway PERFECT

    12. This is the type of song that should either just have singing or just rapping. this didn’t really work. Unless the rap had a special type of delivery it wouldn’t work though people are still going to dick ride cause its jay 3/5

      1. I somewhat agree, but I lean closer to the fact that Jay didn’t really add anything special the song. The song was dope without him and his verse wasn’t even all that, AND it’s like he didn’t even put a lot of effort into it. It’s kinda like either leave it alone (the song) or bring some real fire to it. He didn’t bring fire!

    13. hawian sofey face… Big lips whatever you call him… Fuck jay z he wack and I smoke daily! Haha Pac 4 life! Til the casket drop! This muthafucka came up during the age of hip hop after that real/raw shit was lived out. I wouldn’t even down load this guys music 4 free! Money don’t make the man, man make the money. Quit ridin gay z’s dick and open your eyes study his past… Wut a fuckin joke!

      1. “Money don’t make the man, man make the money” this quote precisely describes jay-z you fuck. THE MAN FUCKING MAKES MAD DOUGH. Lyrically a genius, and a fucking business guru. I love my Pac and Biggie, but you have to give the Jigga-man his due, open your eyes and study THE FUCKING FACTS

      2. West Coast hip-hop hasn’t been doing shit in a long ass time so I see this guy has to come comment on all the East Coast hip-hop songs to feel relevant.

    14. Y can’t people give credit where credit is due? Every time Jay-Z or Nas or Eminem or even Weezy comes out with something somebody gotta something stupid like “He only hot because ‘Pac and Biggie died.” or “He’s a sell out.” or “This guy is better than him.” or “This dude falling off…”. The list goes on and on… It just goes to tell u familiarity breeds hate. If u don’t wanna hear the music don’t listen to it. Simple as that. ‘Illuminati’ seems to be the new word bammas learned so they wanna put everybody. Read a book, clowns.

By the way, 3.7 stars. lol

      1. im always curious when people hate back on haters does it make u feel better ? do u feel relieved hahahaha there has to b haters bruh, everything needs balance

    15. the original is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better.

    16. Sade is great….and bottom line HOV is a beast..aint no fucking with him, yall lil niggaz can stick to yall bubble gum non making sense rap, and ill fuck with this…

    17. Unbiasely speaking, this is a tight verse from Jay. He stayed on point with the song. It wasn’t just him rapping.

    18. this song is dope as fuck….. But from my understanding I though Sade denied working with her ….. But any ways this is an instant classic!

      1. The only reason it will be a classic is because of who’s on the song and not because the actual music deserves those kind of props. As I said, Jay-Z didn’t add a whole lot to the song IMO.

      1. I agree. They seem to have similar vibes and respect for music. Not saying that Jay doesn’t, but he did nothing special for the song.

    19. I like it, but as someone said Nas would’ve been a better fit. Personally I’m burned-out with Jay-Z, but of course he would’ve been her 1st choice considering who he is in rap. He didn’t really put much effort in his this IMO. Nas and Sade seem to share similar vibes so I think their styles would’ve worked much better together. Worth 4 stars mainly because of production and Sade.

    20. Doesn’T nobody hear that Jay is talking about his secret son:
      “Pregnant pause
Damn your baby tall, what you been up to
I don’t blame you my doll
      Yeah, we kinda stalled
As God as my witness, timin’ was my mistress
I guess it’s in the stars for me to love you from a distance”
and then he says “So baby no moon and sky, got a beautiful sun/son”

    21. hahaa jay is the only reason why i would ever listen to this song. its chill as fuck but wouldnt listen to it without jay

    22. jay-z u are the best.shout out to whole brooklyn ny and the whole nyc from the whole rochester new york.we love yall.its upstate ny and nyc together.hova we got u by any means.we love u dogg.

    23. Jay was the PERFECT FIT 4 this track!! 5 stars all the way. Sade always had n has smooth layed back music and hov came and delievered as usual!! i really dont know wat sum of u people are sayin bout NAS being on this track. i really think ya need to listen 2 this song all the way thru a FEW tymes to see how much hov brought to the table on this. He stayed on topic and painted the picture for you. To be honest i could see Drake fittin on this track better den Nas not ONLY on the stregnth his bestfriend and producre Noah’40’shebib did the beat but this def has a drake type of vibe to it.

      1. exactly my point…i was just touchin the subject dat people were talkin about nas wen it wasnt need with wat jay already did.

    24. the concept is nice but the drums goes too hard, i was even worried with jay being on this but he came threw, fix the drums yo have a hit

    25. You gotta be born before 85 to understand this vibe. I love Sade, one of my favorite artists of all time so her and Jigga on a track has to work. #Idbuyanalbumofthis

    26. Youngsters need to get hip to Sade and hop on the wagon…this track is hot. Great concept as well.

    27. Sade shouldn’t be remixed with RAP, EVER. She does Neo-Soul so for the love of REAL music, stop trynna hip-hopafy every damn genre of music. She’s a Classic, let her be.

      1. Sade was soul before neo-soul was thought of bruh and she crossed the lines into hip hop with the soldier beat and u cant deny it still has her stamp and J did his ish of course- which i think B my wanna rewind several times.
