    1. This is some high-quality hip-hop right here. I was kind of wondering where Lupe was going with this album. I still am. Seems like he’s going for some commercial success. But this seems to be the best of both words. Incredible.

    2. bush has been out of the picture for about 2 years but lupe wants to suck his dick, cant keep his name out his math,

      1. Inform your self on the numerous policies Bush has created for our country, not to mention he was a president for EIGHT years. His president will have many long term effects on our country.

      2. Hey Dummy Listen to the lyrics. If you are not going to listen to the lyrics then don’t comment. The song had nothing to do with Bush. Yeah his name was in it but it wasn’t about him. Why are you gargling Bush’s children?

      1. are you fucking stupid? you must be riding waka and gucci’s dick. this man is the definition of hip hop, new hip hop

      1. bitch please overated, he’s the most underated rapper ever. he spits dope every song trying to make a change giving awareness to everyone unlike GUCCI BURRR or WEEZY (LOL) who brag to people who are less privaledged. So just stfu and enjoy the different music for once

      2. would u rather him talk about gold chains, cars and hoes? he’s talking about real issues that continue to be a problem in the world.race issues will continue to exist as long as dumb ass bitches like u keep complaining. its called education. go listen to gucci maybe u can get an ice cream cone on ur face 2

      3. 1. Not talking about race issues doesn’t make them go away, in fact that would probably only worsen the problem
        2. He’s talking about unity and a world where all races are in fact equal
        3. Listen, Understand, then Critique.

      4. i agree..i love the music but thinks its fucked up that race is always talked about.i love different music but stop the black white shit…tracks like this help me save money cause i wont buy the shit

      5. Because if you experience differential treatment because of your race(i.e., have police follow you, have old women run across the street/clutch their children and their purses when you are walking by them–after watching them not do that when a bunch of White folks walked by, have people act surprised when you mention you are in grad school) it makes the fact that you are a black male salient, when in fact you never asked to have it made salient.

Sit the fuck down, dumbass. For you to even try to invalidate a person and an entire peoples lived experience is beyond stupid.

White people and their colonial bullshit (the violence, the laws, creating systems of race-based inequality globally) are the reason that ethnic minorities like talking about their struggles, it’s what binds us. White people, historically, as a group, made race an issue for us all (for 100’s of years). And now we are supposed to just collectively forget about it overnight? Makes no sense whatsoever.

      6. i also suck dick and worship satan….

im jealous of lupe and im a fatherless child this is why i hate…..

      7. Did you listen to the song? Race issues will always exists whether he raps about it or not. It’s people like you who beleive there is nothing wrong race relations in this country. “Dumb asses”, and I bet you are the smart one wanting to ingnor the issue. Are you a friend of dr. Laura Schlessinger? That’s your mom Huh. I can see why you think like that.

      8. ANGEL, WHAT ARE YOU PUERTO RICAN AT LEAST IF THAT’S YOUR PICTURE, YOU LOOK LIKE ONE OF MY ISLAND BROTHERS. YOU REALLY HAVE TO LISTEN TO WHAT HE IS SAYING ABOUT BEING BLACK. I LIVE IN D.C. AND I WENT TO THE AMERICA I AM EXHIBIT THIS PAST WEEKEND. GREAT EXHIBIT IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE CHECK IT OUT. I’M PRO BLACK NOT ANTI WHITE, WHICH MEANS I HOLD AFRICAN AMERICANS TO A HIGHER STANDARD. WE HAVE ALL THE TALENT,INTELLIGENCE,ABILITY THAT ANY OTHER RACE HAS WE DON’T ALWAYS SHOW IT OR USE IT THAT’S ON US. YOU OBVIOUSLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF THE POSITIVE BLACK IMAGES THIS SONG EMPHASIZES. PUTTING FORTH THESE POSITIVE IMAGES WILL HOPEFULLY LESSEN THE IMPACT OF IMAGES PUT FORTH BY ALL THESE SO CALLED D-BOYS,DRUG ADDICTS,CRIMINALS, GANG BANGERS, PIMPS AND HOE’S IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY. RACE ISSUES ARE NOT SOMETHING THAT MINORITIES CREATED IT IS SOMETHING WE RESPOND TO. IF YOU THINK NOT TALKING ABOUT IT WILL HELP RESOLVE IT THEN STICK YOUR HEAD BACK IN THE SAND AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. THAT’S WHAT PEOPLE WHO PROMOTE RACIST BEHAVIOR COUNT ON THE FACT THAT YOU WONT CALL THEM ON IT. I KNOW EVERYTHING IS NOT SPURRED BY RACE, BUT DON’T EVER THINK IT DOES NOT PLAY A BIGGER ROLE THAN YOU THINK. GOOD SONG

      9. @chillin you needa stfu wit to lyin bullshit I’ve travelled the globe for 20+ years and never seen a White women run across the street to cover their kids from black people fuck outta here wit that lyin shit

and it’s a fact that black Americans are some of the mos racist beings on earth, you can’t name 3 White musicians that constantly put out racist content but you can name dozens of black ones who do rass kas Saigon public enemy kanye common mos def jay electronica killah army brand nubian

comedians like dave chappelle chris rock etc these are a huge part of the reason whilst racism still exists today

screamin black power when they should be screamin ONE WORLD

so hop off your fuckin soap box talkin bout black people suffer racism EVERYONE suffers racism and it’s global because you ignorant fuckin Americans keep spreading your ignorance around the world with your tiny little minds

      10. @anonymous:

        1) My post explicitly acknowledges that other people deal with racist bullshit and have for centuries due to colonialism/imperialism across the globe. I used the Black experience as an example, because I am Black and because Angel explicitly brought that up here.

        2) I’m not American and have never lived in the U.S.

        LMAO.

    3. Question : Why is it that fans of hip hop have to disrespect one another and say BITCH < FAGGOT > and something about DICKS on ever god forsaken site. What is the deal ? Is it an age thing ? I am an old fuck , 33 to be exact and I don’t get it.

Believe me it in know way determines who is HARD or NOT. Most people who speak like that turn to TWINKIES when they are smashed in the face. Just an observation.

Now back to the topic. Lupe is a very intelligent dude and his first 2 albums had some great stuff. We shall see what he has to offer on this one.

THERE WILL COME A DAY WHERE WE NEVER HEAR LIL WAYNE > WACKA FLOCKA > GUCCI > or any of these imbeciles again ! Now go ahead with the slanders and what not !

    4. I use to think Lupe was overrated too and I got both his cd’s and listened to him before Kanye put him on Touch the Sky.

But now anymore, songs like this are what I thought he was going to be doing from the start, and only Tokyo, Paris and a few others lived up to what I expected from him.
      This is amazing.

      1. actually your ass is wrong joe budden is far from commercial him and the group idk the slaughterhouse group that your bitch ass should know that is underground my friend

      2. slaughterhouse is underground??? wooooow ur hurting….do ur research b4 u right again underground rappers are Jurassic 5 Aesop Rock MF Doom Little Brother Brother Ali Dilated Peoples Non Phixion Planet Asia to name a few….

joe budden royce and all those larries are as commercial as they get just because they havent sold millions doesnt mean there not commercial rap….music videos full of hoes and bull shit….

        simple minded children

    5. like this…

this is nothing that would make me say he is the GOAT like some continue to preach! Tags like that are rediculous but hes a great MC and im looking forward to the album!

    6. Im black, but this song is racist. And it lacks replay value. Im tired of hearing songs about race. Its we as a people. Mistakes were made in the past that we cannot change. Lets move forward together and conquer our obstacles. It doesnt matter what race. What matters is who you are and what you stand for.

      1. I dunno, this sounds more unifying than divisive to me. “Bill OReilly read from the Qur’an”, “The Rat Pack was a cool group of black men that inspired 5 white guys called the Jacksons” It’s abstractly describing how meaningless race really is by flipping racial paradigms, completely void of all anger and bitterness. It’s like the Obama of “race rap” (if that’s such a thing) — ethnically intertwined, preaching the possibilities rather than the set backs.

      2. Its A Perspective Record.. If Your Bashing The Record Instead Of Thinking About What Things Would Be Like Reversed Then You Didn’t Listen To The Song

      3. Coons, like you hold black people back. Just because you love blackness, and speak on our history that makes you a racist? You ole self hating negro! Black People Unify love each other!

    7. This is what hip hop has been missing. I really don’t understand any of the negative comments but people are entitled to their opinion. 5 Stars.

    8. lupe your starting to lose your grind….yeah this nigga just want to get away from this label deal for real……………..

    9. Can you blame him this album has been long awaited for…iam gonna be honest and say I think the final output of this album aint gonna be like the cool it has all the signs of an wack album…..but i can always be proved wrong…………..

    10. im white and dont see this as racist. he is saying imagine if the world was peaceful all around and that instead of slaves black people came to america just as whites did. then he goes on to say that the past is the past but that doesnt mean everyone has to act the same way as they always have. the world could be a better place if everyone participated.

    11. DAMN…we are all LAAAASers. the homie lupe did his thang on this track….indeed tell the story! props to all on this joint… all black indeed: BLACX History month a tribute to the culture

    12. he’s not dissing Em or 50 , this whole song is about a dream Lupe had about racism not existing. Therefore Eminem was just another emcee because he wasn’t any different from anyone else.and in this dream, 50 cent is actually white

      1. cmon son hip hop is the voice for anyone who wishes to use it….it is the heart of the rappers okay i agree some rappers have more of an voice then the real but the real rappers has there time in the 90’s.And dont complain that they have more of a voice then the “the real” because the industry muthafuckas are just furthering hip hop…. remember the sugar hill gang, weeeel they where heavily criticized back then for making there sound a lot more soft. But they were considered one of the first rap acts to have major success and introduce rap out of the bronx……and look were rappers are now of course we need a balance of mafioso rap rap alternative rap and golden age rap but meh at the moment there’s an imbalance but that does not mean hip hop is dead OH SHIT IAM TALKING BULLSHIT AGAIN SORRY PEOPLE

    13. Dope concept. Either you get it or you don’t.

If you don’t you are possibly a moron or likely to have mental health issues.

    14. “Every woman queen and, every man a king and, when those color lines come we just can’t see between, so we close our eyes til it’s all black everything”

I don’t see how anyone, black or white, sees this song as racist. This song is more about unifying people than anything else.

    15. First let me say Rest In Peace to Malcolm X. Now let me get to this amazing song by Lupe Fiasco. This is incredible. Thought provoking hip-hop is what I love and Fiasco definitely delivered with this concept. ALL BLACK EVERYTHING!!!!

      1. It’s just a song about what would have happened if Black People were never oppressed. I don’t think it’s about a reverse world where Blacks have all the power and whites were in slavery

He clearly says in the chorus that
        “Stayed in Africa
        We ain’t never leave
So there were no slaves in our history”

Sums up the theme of the song pretty well

      1. Ay most my favourite artists are from the states but you gotta admit, that bullshit that the american media pushes as ‘hip hop’ is fuckin trash..

      1. oh i get u peterL(arry)

u rather have them rap about money..cars…guns…murder…pussy…diamonds….simple minded child

      2. niggas dont have to rap about hoes and guns but y politics?? governments corrupt we all know it its not gonna change. it never will. so instead of complaining about politics or talking bout cash lets rap about more relatable shit. dope tho.

    16. if this was the opposite and said i want an all white everything it would be the most racist song ever written but i dunno man, shits sounds pretty racist to me

      1. nas, black thought, az, jmt, j cole, rae, just to name a few rappers that are better or at least as good who use music to express themselves. lupe isnt the only one doing anything, your a dick rider if you honestly believe that.

    17. this shit isn’t as great as people are making it out to be. average beat…actually kinda boring. good flow nothing special. and this shit is kinda racist… not that i care. everybodies entitled to their own views

    18. With this song i really think lupe is just promoting racism, the way to get rid of racism is to adress people as people bot by the colour of their skin!!!! LUPE!!! DUM!!! ASS!!! GUY!!!

    19. I always liked lupe, and still do, but to me this is kind of racism.. I am white, I never disrespect black people, but this isnt helping get rid of racism, its promoting it.. Beat, flow 4, but a 2 because of the lyrics..

    20. man I get tired of all these people complaining. I would just call all you guys eminem fans, Shit since I’m on that subject eminem is Racist. I don’t here anybody talking about that do I. Since we invented Rap we can do whatever we want, Freedom of speech. The way I see it this is similar to how video game companies never make black protagonist in video games, Now that Racist. Sorry to go off on the deep in but I get tired of this SHIT.

      5 stars!!!!

      1. Well, since white people invented video games, they can do whatever they want with them then, right? You clearly missed the point of this song.

    21. i actually thought it was racist until i read the lyrics..its not, part of the all black everything and a big part, is him suffering to closing his eyes and dreaming. Im a white dude and i wouldnt call this racism anymore . I think hes just sayin what if there was no black, or no white, everyone was just 1 and hes closing his eyes just to see it.

    22. ik everyone is entiteled to their own opinion but if u think that this song is “reverse racism” (w/e the fuck that is) you need to actually listen to the song

    23. You would never know
      If you could ever be
      If you never try
      You would never see
      Stayed in Africa
      We ain’t never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isn’t he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

      [Lupe Fiasco – Verse 1]
Uh, and we ain’t get exploited
White man ain’t feared so he did not destroy it
We ain’t work for free, see they had to employ it
Built it up together so we equally appointed
First 400 years, see we actually enjoyed it
Constitution written by the W.E.B. Du Bois
Were no reconstructions, Civil War got avoided
Little black Sambo grows up to be a lawyer

      [Hook]
      You would never know
      If you could ever be
      If you never try
      You would never see
      Stayed in Africa
      We ain’t never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isn’t he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

      [Lupe Fiasco – Verse 2]
Uh, and it ain’t no projects
Keepin it real is not an understood concept
      Yea, complexion’s not a contest
      Cause racism has no context
Hip hop ain’t got a section called conscious
Everybody rappin’ like crack never happened
Crips never occurred no Bloods to attack them
Matter of fact no hood to attack in
Somalia is a great place to relax in
Fred Astaire was the first to do a backspin
The Rat Pack was cool group of black men
That inspired five white guys called The Jacksons
Eminem fitted in but then again he inspired a black rapper tryin to mimic him
And that’s what really rose up out of Michigan, the sign of white rapper by the name of 50 Cent, ha!

      [Hook]
      You would never know
      If you could ever be
      If you never try
      You would never see
      Stayed in Africa
      We ain’t never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isn’t he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

      [Lupe Fiasco – Verse 3]
Uh, and I know it’s just a fantasy
I cordially invite you to ask why can’t it be?
Now we can do nothing bout the past
But we can do something about the future that we have
We can make fast or we can make it last
Every woman Queenin’ and every man a Kingin’
When those color lines come we can’t see between
We just close our eyes ’til it’s all black every-THING!

im the same dude that posted the original comment

    24. How is this racist? Not really getting that from the song at all. Just a play on the idea of race, and the ideas we hold on to because of history. It’s like: If you didn’t have the associations between history and race that you do how would it change your view of things like heritage and what it means to be “a people”.

    25. This is for young folks politically just waking up to the world. As someone older than 30 I need something that’s not so literal. In other words I think us older hip-hop heads have had our fill of black rage and want more proactive shit or just chill music. We can think for ourselves. But all in all not bad, just not timeless.

    26. Word

The first verse is about if black people had been employed instead of enslaved by white people what would have happened. The second verse is just giving examples of how fucked up shit would look to us if slavery never happened and like my man says rasism has no context

    27. Lupe has skills but he makes boring music. Yes I’m black and Lasers will be another forgotten album compared to the classics. He needs real producers and better writing.

    28. How is this racism?

Lupe is always aiming to be thought provoking in his lyrics.

He is flipping history so that racism never occured, no slaves, no anger, no hate.

“First 400 years, see we actually enjoyed it”

Therefore, saying a black woman voted head of the KKK is nothing amazing in that context, because the KKK didnt exist to reak there terror in Lupe’s dream.

    29. The song isn’t racist AT ALL. It puts a positive spin on the history of Blacks from the 14th Century to now. He never said anything about white people. He basically said it was no racism. Stop trying to reach for something that’s obviously not there. 5/5

    30. great artist and track, but sadly this phenomenal album will be forgotten and pushed into memory because now a days if you dont rap about how many women you have or how much you making it rain you seem to get no shine

    31. Eminem fitted in but then again he inspired a black rapper tryin to mimic him (who?)
And that’s what really rose up out of Michigan, the sign of white rapper by the name of 50 Cent (what?) Can sum1 explain wtf he’s goin on about? i dont get it

      1. hes talking bout how the world would be in his dream. Like if eminem would fit in with society and had a normal life and 50 cent got inspired and became the new em. I lold at somalia was a nice place to live in bit xD

    32. This was really good. This concept kinda reminds me of John Lennon’s imagine, just the rap version. I’m buying the album, I love every song that I heard from this album. I wish I can say the same about detox.

    33. Real amazing. Reminds me more of F&L, this track. @Fernando Hidalgo, he’s not being sarcastic, just a hypothetical that holds a message for the present.

      1. “Somalia is great place to relax in” lOl
I know that’s just one line but you can feel sarcasm but your right about it being hypothetical, overall this track is genius, not too lyrical but ALOT of meaning between the lines

    34. I feel bad for Lupe. His new shit is boring and uninspired. It’s quite sad to be honest.

He’s not very lyrical any more and his flow is basic. His first two albums were fantastic and he’s an excellent storyteller but now he’s just doing this..

Being positive for the sake of being positive. There’s a reason MOST people don’t give a shit about this political stuff. Because we know its corrupt.

Make something reltable, or is that even possible to relate to the average person for Mr. Fiasco?

I just don’t get it, every song he’s released so far has been terrible. It seems like we’re never getting the old Lupe back. F&L and the Cool> Lasers

    35. the song is ok.
I don’t see what is so amazing about it.
The concept is pretty simple (“what if”).
The beat is so so. Lyrics are OK. Not amazing.

So far i’m very disappointed in every song outta lasers.

None of them is close to “I’m Beamin”.

Lupe s just satisfyin Atlantic’s mainstream BS.

I’m pretty sure it won’t be all that.

      1. youre an idiot if you call this song “mainstream”…get a clue dumbass. Lyrics are okay? name someone putting out better shit than this. Don’t listen to a song for the beat, actually listen to the words, and the meaning.

      2. @anonymous, I’m not in the dickridin bandwagon. Lupe is one of my favourite rapper ever, I am just not feeling this.

As far as lyrics, yes they are OK. Lupe is, in my humble opinion, just rapping about bees and birds. There is nothing amazing about making a song about peace & unity : It has been done times and times.

This song falls short compared to his catalogue. For instance, “He say she say” shits on this song 10 times.

If u don’t see that, well, to each his own.

    36. When he said he would go back to Food&Liquour flow for this album I didn’t believe but I guess he reallly is thank god.

    37. This shit ain’t racist it’s more intelligent lyrics and great flow from Lupe. But I gotta agree with those complaining about the beat. I am not feeling the beat at all.

For those complaining about ignorant commentators and racism and then telling people to fuck off with a homophobic epithet (dick rider, fagot, etc) your heart is full of just as much ignorance and hate as any racist

    38. As a white guy, I don’t see how anyone sees this song as racist. Like another poster said, this is basically like John Lennon’s “Imagine” in a hip-hop setting: Imagine there’s no racism, no segregation, no slavery, no conflict between gangs, races, nations, etc. I think it’s a great song. It’s about how all people, regardless of race, religion, nationality, etc. can get along if we all tried.

It also has a good sense of humor in this song, which is sorely lacking in a lot of songs these days. I like it.

    39. ..This Song is simply Amazinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

    40. Signed a white rapper by the name of 50 Cent???

ahaaa woopty woop dude.. Lupe is compelled 2 speak the truth an i LUV IT

    41. What we’ve come to expect from Lupe. This song is really good and original. It took me a couple listens to appreciate it but now i cant stop listening to it. In fact each song that we’ve heard from lasers so far is great and original in their own way. Never Forget you, words i never said, i’m beaming, shining down. Even the show goes on although it sampled a really popular modest mouse song lupe was able to make it his own. My point is no one in hip hop is doing it like Lupe right now. In my book Lasers is album of the year just by what we’ve heard so far.

    42. the meaning of this song is amazing…some of you people really need to get a brain. And all you die hard “lupe fans” need to relax with criticizingly his shit, with all your dumb fucking statements. “its not like his old stuff”…i’ve been a lupe fan since day 1, and some of you “fans” are straight ignorant. If you don’t appreciate the lyrics and meaning of this song, then you are CLEARLY NOT a true lupe fan.

    43. I will say that his new music isnt like the old stuff but to me its some of the best hes ever made. This album is a statement to Hip-Hop, to the people, to the powers at be. Every song has a fairly deep meaning. If yall cant see that then you need to go read a book. All my real Lupe fans know what im talkin about. Real Lasers stand up

      1. See? This is what I’m talking about. This “that’s so true” shit only proves how dumb some of you are. Not once did he mention anything about jazz music and how the black culture helped make it a genre. If there were no slaves, there would be no jazz. With no jazz, there would be no rap.

      2. @ CEALIX, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT SO WITH OUT SLAVERY WE WOULD HAVE BEEN DEPRIVED OF JAZZ MUSIC. WOW. THANK YOU FOR THAT BIT OF HISTORY. YOU THE NEW POSTER BOY FOR BIRTH CONTROL. YOUR POPS SHOULD HAVE PULLED OUT.

      1. the lyrics are much better than the beat…the beat is okay, but it fits the song perfectly. The beat sounds like something that would be in a fairytale, and if you arent a dumbass then you realized that his version of “imagine” is a fairytale…but something tells me your retarded and dont understand. I think it might have a little to do with your comment.

      2. Sometimes I wish hip-hop fans can have civilized conversations on message boards, instead of calling each other retarded.

    44. sounds good BUT man dont steal that line from jay-z

to me, all black everything always sounded like jay-z will use it again

    45. LUPE has done it again! He kills it. I’m Waiting for that instrumental. Can’t wait to jump on this record……….. 🙂

    46. Man its good to hear a rapper that sounds like they actually thought about what they were rapping about. This song has great flow, great lyrics, and a topic that does not involve poppin bottles, throwin hunnids in the air, or hustlin, and it has a catchy hook for those who care more about thatmn than they do about lyrics. I give it 7 out 5 stars. I can’t remember the last time I replayed a song just to catch the lyrics I may have missed the first time. Amazing.

    47. if we just don’t address people by a colour and just as people isnt that better then making a song about how were different and how are skin is a different colour

    48. The truth is color is a factor however being aware of it, we have a choice. A choice to make it factor or to embrace it. Lupe is making great music here and he is using topics that are real to him. The fact of the matter is slavery did happen and it is an ugly thing. What’s wrong with talking about it? Hundreds of years of oppression doesn’t go away just like that. Accepting our ugly truths as country is the first step to making it a better country.

      1. do you listen to music or do you just skim through it?

He’s saying close your eyes. All you see is black. The color of people shouldn’t matter. good is good. Thats why he reverse the races of some of the prominent people in the song…. smh

    49. My favorite song from the album so far. To people that don’t get or understand the concept He’s saying that race, color none of that matters it’s just All Black Everything. The song’s not racist or none of that and people that think that is really closed minded. Expand you’re minds bro look at the world more than one way.

    50. I’ve never been a huge fan of Lupe like others, but I have to say this track is one of the most thought provoking pieces of work I’ve heard in a lonnnng time. And it’s enjoyable to listen to at the same time.

It just has this feeling of hope. I honestly think this song (and a lot of Lupe’s music) should be featured in some college classes. It just flips everything you thought about the world and blows your mind. Beautiful song.

    51. You would never know
      If you could ever be
      If you never try
      You would never see
      Stayed in Africa
      We aint never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isnt he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

      [Lupe Fiasco – Verse 1]
Uh, and we aint get exploited
White man aint feared so he did not destroy it
We aint work for free, see they had to employ it
Built it up together so we equally appointed
First 400 years, see we actually enjoyed it
Constitution written by the W.E.B. Du Bois
Were no reconstructions, Civil War got avoided
Little black Sambo grows up to be a lawyer
Extra extra on the news stands

Followed by Bill OReilly who read from the Quran
President Bush sends condolences from Iran

That Ahmadinejad wins Mandela peace prize

      [Hook]
      You would never know
      If you could ever be
      If you never try
      You would never see
      Stayed in Africa
      We aint never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isnt he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

      [Lupe Fiasco – Verse 2]
Uh, and it aint no projects
Keepin it real is not an understood concept
      Yea, complexions not a contest
      Cause racism has no context
Hip hop aint got a section called conscious
Everybody rappin like crack never happened
Crips never occurred no Bloods to attack them
Matter of fact no hood to attack in
Somalia is a great place to relax in
Fred Astaire was the first to do a backspin
The Rat Pack was cool group of black men
That inspired five white guys called The Jacksons
Eminem fitted in but then again he inspired a black rapper tryin to mimic him
And thats what really rose up out of Michigan, the sign of white rapper by the name of 50 Cent, ha!

      [Hook]
      You would never know
      If you could ever be
      If you never try
      You would never see
      Stayed in Africa
      We aint never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isnt he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

      [Lupe Fiasco – Verse 3]
Uh, and I know its just a fantasy
I cordially invite you to ask why cant it be?
Now we can do nothing bout the past
But we can do something about the future that we have
We can make fast or we can make it last
Every woman Queenin and every man a Kingin
When those color lines come we cant see between
We just close our eyes til its all black every-THING!

    52. Shaka Zulu actually turned on his people to sell his own people to the Europeans. Black on Black crime way back when.
Slavery has appeared in the Middle East, Ireland, and various other cultures as well since biblical times. However the African American community still refuse to move on, when our own people were guilty as well.

      1. that could happen but the thing is there is still alot racism is still going on in america n throught the world about African Americans n some feel sorry but there are still alot of people comdoning slavery and things of that nature so in other words sh** happens.lol

      2. Slavery always existed, but no form of slavery on Earth was ever as cruel as Antebellum Slavery. So while Africans were selling each other into slavery, they did not know that the slavery they were selling their war prisoners into was like that at all.

    53. This is the kind of hip hop i love… Keep it going LUPE… and for anybody talking B.S please listen closely to the song, Lupe is not being racist at all.

      1. i agree 100% hes trying to send a message in doing so people are going to think that he is being racist but its a very poisitive song the last verse expecially

and I know its just a fantasy
I cordially invite you to ask why cant it be?
Now we can do nothing bout the past
But we can do something about the future that we have
We can make fast or we can make it last
Every woman Queenin and every man a Kingin
When those color lines come we cant see between
We just close our eyes til its all black every-THING!

and idk maybe im looking to much into it but i think hes not even talking about skin colors at all hes like forget that white and black stuff just because we are different colors dont mean we are different we are still people hence all black everything but like i said idk im prob looking into it to much…

    54. I love Lupe and his music but I really dont see whats so special about this song. I mean concept is cool I guess but it just sounds like he’s reading a bed-time story to like 6 year old children.

      1. That is kind of the point in that it’s a dream-like fantasy world he is describing. It’s just part of the damn-near flawless execution of the concept of the song. Proper tone, beat sets the mood perfectly, great care taken to make sure the lyrics properly paint the picture in his head.

      1. Let’s make it Happen, Sorry I didn’t cast A vote on the song cause I’m o public computer that won’t load that part of the site, I got sent over to Iraq yesterday to wrap the fight there It’s so loud in my head in my head with words I’ve never said because I’m in the miltary were not suppose to discuss poltics publicly

      1. LOL stop smoking crack u fuckin weirdo, thanks for letting everyone know ur obvious thought process, it was obviously the intention of the artist to get u to envision the events he rhymed about…fucking moron

    55. I like it. It’s more like:

What would’ve happened if Europe didn’t act so selfish 500 years ago. No colonies in Africa, Asia.
Hell, America and Australia would have different inhabitants.

      Think about it.

    56. Lupe’s gotta stop letting these albums songs leak. I’ve pretty much heard all the songs on the album between his live performances and the leaks. Dope song tho

      1. He is releasing the songs on purpose. They have released this song already on itunes if you buy the album pass. If I was him I would not release these songs until the album.

    57. Love this song…think I understand it. But weren’t there also black slave owners in Africa even when the Europeans were there? The Europeans bought a lot of slaves from native Africans…

great song, really makes you think.

      1. You got it all wrong do your research. Not going to explain it all here but there are misconceptions about that. For one thing a “slave” in Africa was a tribal thing, and people were not treated as less-than-human…

      2. how could you not understand? he talks about a dream which tells us hes a black supremacist, a deluded muslim, and yet, somehow, wants color-blindness. basically hes a fucking idiot who cant sing and yet chose to on the hook.

      3. you are absolutely correct, slavery existed among Africans before the Europeans got there. however, the slavery was different. Also slavery existed in Europe long before the America as well, not to mention the Aztecs and Incas. the point is the extremity of American slavery, chattel slavery; the treatment of people like animals.

      4. pretty sure f you look back through history all slaves were treated like shit

aztecs? are you serious? they would behead them in front of thousands of people for sacrifice. there are plenty of examples of slaves, in every society that had slaves, where they have always been beaten raped and basically tortured one way or another. there are no “nice” slave owners, generally speaking.

    58. The beat is alright. I dont know why lupe is singing, he cant sing for shit. the lyrics are delusional half-assed poetry, displaying lupes islam fueled ignorance and pseudo-intellectual babble. waste of fucking time. lupe needs to shut the fuck up and stop rapping if this is what he has to say. if you have nothing to say, then dont fucking rap. this is awful. fuck lasers.

      1. comments like these make me want to implement a way to filter dumb fucks from commenting freely about something they know nothing about.

    59. maybe im slow..what the hell he mean by that 50 cent eminem line???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

      1. I believe, IMHO, that the color of ur skin is not important, so people with talent would have made it anyway = eminem as a black rapper and 50 as a white dude.

    60. he did an amazing job with the conceptual writing of this song. he mixes the beat and lyrics perfectly. its subtle and relaxing and still has that early 90’s knock with the drum pattern. He has controversy, eyebrow raisers, and deep lines. Catchy, Daring, Extravagent: this is what music used to be like and this is what its coming back to. Congrats Lupe, Lasers may be your best effort yet

    61. This beat reminds me of okami, i doubt anyone here played that game but its one of the best of all time, like this album is gonna be!

    62. this is simple, if we never would have brought over slaves, America never would have made it, and even if it did there would be very very few black people in America today. has anyone ever thought about it this way? black people living in America today can thank us for going over and enslaving african americans..otherwise youd prolly be living a shitty life in africa with none of the luxuries you have today and be sick with AIDS…think about it.

      1. hey retard

Africa was an extremely wealthy country, as were the americas, before colonization. All the turmoil and poverty you see in those countries is a direct result of european colonization. Learn history before commenting.

      2. u is what people call morons. black people shouldn’t thank white people for enslaving us when u people r the reason y racism exists

      3. this guy called someone a moron by starting his comment with “u is what people call morons.” lmao any way either way racism is a very ugly thing weather it be whites hating blacks blacks hating whites jews hating gays idk idc its a ugly thing and a shame people still act like that racist people need to get over it and realize blacks, whites, jews, gays, what ever are not going anywere and thats what lupe is trying to say in this song its not about what color you are screw that why cant we all be equal hence ALL BLACK EVERYTHING as in all the same

      4. @emiles..You do know Africa isn’t a country, right? And even though enslaving black people was one of the worst crimes ever commited in history, it doesn’t change the fact that black people in America have a far better life than most Africans. Even the poorest in America, still don’t have aids, malaria and no education.

      5. just saying..are you retarded? malaria no…aids and no education ABSOLUTELY. google skid row just to start

i see what the original poster is trying to say and hes sort of right but to as far as blacks thanking whites for enslaving them? i dont think anyone could go that far. What whites did to those people is unforgivable. But that was 400 years ago. No one alive now was a slave or a slave master. Its time to move forward and accept each other as equal members of society.

      6. the dude makes a good point. black people shoul not “thank” white people for enslaving them…but he does present a different angle on things and it should be taken into account. MLK, Malcom X, Michael Jordan, would have never existed if it werent for slavery. think about it.

      7. Not retarded, thanks for asking. And I certainly do not expect or think, that black people should thank anyone for enslaving them. It was horrible. Still i’m not blind to see that most Black americans are better of than their african brothers.

It’s true that there’s more aids in the US than most other western countries, still almost 70% of all hiv/aids-victims live in central/south-africa. And even though the American school system have major flaws, it’s still a school system in America. The american school system are superior to most school systems in African countries. Many african countries are several centuries behind the US.

@ mr. Anonymous, white people didn’t invent racisme, it’s always been rascism, and unfortunatly it always will be racisme in this world.

    63. White folks hate it when we try to uplift and rise above it all! I LOVE IT! Just look at all the hate from this song!

We should’ve never integrated with them, we didn’t need them, we shouldve just fought for equality and black owned everything in our neighborhoods, better funding for schools, HBCU’s, etc.

      ALL BLACK EVERYTHING

    64. sick, sick, sick..now i know why the label didn’t really want this album released, its like nas-untitled, but with a sound that can actually play on the radio, which is even scarier…

    65. YAWWWWN LUPE IS AN IN THE CLOSET RACIST… ALL HE DOES IS PREACH ISLAM AND EVERY OTHER RELIGION DOESNT MATTER… MOVE ON LUPE WE DONT CARE ABOUT RELIGION

      1. first of all ^^^ you can be black and be racist dumb ass. but i dont think hes racist. he just raps about what he knows dog

    66. For the fucking ignorant assholes who say a blacks can’t be racist.. wrong. Anything human can be racist against what he is not.

Lupe claim Iran’s leader deserves a nobel peace prize? SMH

      1. Everything in this song is backwards, i.e. 50 Cent is white, black woman voted head of the KKK. He was bein sarcastic…would you listen to the song before you comment with your ignorent lies

    67. Maybe we’ll all actually BUY the album this time around instead of just talking about how good he is. It’s a damn shame a cornball like rick ross can sell a million records but not Lupe.

      1. I’ll be the first die hard Lupe fan to say that most of the material I have heard from Lasers has been overrated compared to his older shit. He has the exactly the same flow on every song. The content is nice, but there are more creative ways to spit the shit. He can take a page out of Nas’ book, or even J Cole’s. To me all the songs sound the same. Im all for the content, but musically, this album does not seem as though it is competing with his previous releases. “The Cool” was an amazing album, and he was able to diversify his quality of content and creatively discuss overarching themes similar to that of LASERS. I’ll just leave at that, cause i can go on and on..

        ANYWHO,

CHECK ME OUT. I PROMISE GREAT MUSIC. IT’S A PROMISE!

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdylMPXtisY

    68. This song from Lupe is a bit boring and racist. Lupe fantasizes a time of when all blacks were deemed “holy” and had a “peaceful” history. If he wished this why wouldn’t he wish to the whites, asians, europeans, and all other races? This glorification of blacks is what I mean when I say he’s being racists and it’s not fair to the rest though the blacks did have a horrible history maybe only next to the Jews. This song is also contradictory when he says that “Malcom X becomes an old man and Martin Luther writes a eulogy for him” and when he talks about when slaves didn’t exist…then MLK and Malcom X’s legend wouldn’t exist. It’s tricky when you have a good intention about your race and culture, but when you talk about a certain race your being racist it doesn’t matter if its positive or negative. He already had better songs than this like “American Terrorist”, “Conflict Diamonds”, and “Little Weapon”. I’m not hating on Lupe he’s my def top three rappers but it seems like he’s running of topics to talk about…

      1. your psudeo intelectual analysis of the song is laughable…do you really take yourself seriously…perhaps some schooling and a little understanding of literary analysis and you would understand what hes trying to say

to your points — “why wouldn’t he wish on the other races” — because the song is not about wishing but rather it is a lament for what could have been — he’s not asking for a new future but rather he is asking what would have happened if racism did not happen, note his talking about the past and his acknowledgment in the verse that this is merely a fantasy and the future is where change needs to occur. This then explains your confusion about the next point malcom x and MLK were both individuals of incredible intellegence, and were gifted with oratory genius — he is then saying imagine if there wasn’t this stigma attached to being black what these men could have been, they would have still had legacies, different and perhaps even more enduring if society would have accepted their talents.

Also you have an illusory grasp of the notion of racism, distinctions by race do not make one racist, nor is lupe distinguishing white from black or black from anything else. Listen to the song before you try to glorify your ego.

        5 stars lupes a boss

      2. In order for someone to be racist then they have to put another race down. i dont think i have ever heard lupe putting another race down or put ANYONE down for that matter without substantial evidence to validate it. Lets just be brutally honest for a second, if he was putting blacks down and talking about hoes and killin niggas, would you consider him a racists. I mean that kind of song would sound prtty hateful wouldnt it?. But since he is saying the exact opposite he is “racist” all of a sudden. And to top that, he is not only imagining a world where blacks were never enslaved, but a world where whites werent slave masters so you all can erase that from your history also. Just something to think about. Look at intention, not actions…

      3. Happyflop: You missed the msg of the song.

How you can misconstrue this song to be racist depicts the thinking of someone insecure with their own racial views.

      4. We’ll so If I say that white people are great and all wouldn’t that be racist? But If I say that black people are great and all to most it wouldn’t be racist. Black people have a Black History Month in February, we’ll what about White folks..if they propose a While History Month then all hell breaks loose. And I don’t know why ya’ll saying I’m racist when I wished all nationalities well, you don’t have to put a race down to be racist, racism is when you talk about a certain race with predejuice. Represent you speak of Lupe talking of what could’ve been, ok I agree with you, but it seems like a meek attempt to destroy racism especially when most of his context is about black people. Why shouldn’t he write a song about peace instead like John Lennon’s “Imagine”?

      5. represent:

your psudeo intelectual analysis of the song is laughable…do you really take yourself seriously…perhaps some schooling and a little understanding of literary analysis and you would understand what hes trying to say

to your points — “why wouldn’t he wish on the other races” — because the song is not about wishing but rather it is a lament for what could have been — he’s not asking for a new future but rather he is asking what would have happened if racism did not happen, note his talking about the past and his acknowledgment in the verse that this is merely a fantasy and the future is where change needs to occur.

        ^^^^this deserves a 5 yell

      6. Happyflip, a White history month would be pointless because White history is represented within education, the media, etc 365 days a year! So according to your logic, hell should have broke loose a long time ago! The whole point of Black history month is to acknowledge some of the many positive contributions Black people have achieved in history, which have largely been overlooked in mainstream history.

As for the song, its intelligent. It’s a fantasy talking about a world where racism, in its current form, does not exist. That’s the total opposite of a racist song! Even if this was a track talking about just Black history, why does it make you feel so uncomfortable? After all, most history focuses on White people, yet it’s rarely seen as racist or biased in the eyes of most people.

    69. I THINK LUPE IS BRAIN WASHED BY RELIGION WHICH IS WHY HES BEEN SAYING A LOT OF DUMB SHIT IN HIS LAST COUPLE OF SONGS… ITS NORMALLY THE ONES WHO ACCUSE OTHERS OF BEING RACIST WHO ARE THE RACISTS

    70. KORAN??? umm no. The Koran was written 600 years after the gospels, it’s a bootleg bible to me. He tried to present his writings to the Jews m but they said no and exiled him to the desert. Abraham had 2 sons Ishmael and Issac. One had the Koran and the other Bible.

    71. JHEEZ PPL. All black everything means absence of colour meaning no racism? anyone who dissed this song should ashamed of themselves. Lupe is too lyrical for you guys you really think he’d make a racist concept in his chorus when the song is fighting racism?

    72. Can’t believe so many people hate with
      a wicked line like
“everyone rapping like crack never happened,
crips never occured no bloods to attack them /matter fact no hood to attack in. ”

like really you want to call him a raciest,
like your favorite rapper isn’t a secreat raciest behind closed doors… idk nvm.
      you’re just dumb silly

    73. i dont respond to blogs like this because its has no purpose but if i can send a song like this up to the top of most dicussed song selection i will. those that are either uneducated or have an agenda to promote white supremacy will speak about this song from either ingornace or will speak from an agenda of white supremacy and bash this song. he did on this one song what dead prez and a lot others have never done. he speaks of a solution. stop addressing people by their made up racial label and just see them as a human being. human have a history of slavery on all fronts in my opinion he just means the relationship blacks have to this country. and it does have to be all black everything he could be all mexican, all white or, all any color. and you still we have young people, white supremacist and under edcated people missing the message of what this song is about haha.

    74. some of yall cannot not wrap your minds around the principle of this song. ALL BLACK MEANS NO CORRUPTION, NO PERCEIVED DIFFERENCES, it means EQUALITY!the whole song is allegory. he might just be too intelligent for the masses, his music might just be too intelligent for the average person. song is GENIUS, been on repeat all day. he is not a racist, but you are all too simplistic in your thinking. don’t just hear, but listen. don’t just open your ears, but also your minds

      1. You are so right! Im glad there are people like u in the world who can understand a song and not just hear the words in it and make assumptions.

    75. “Malcolm Little dies as an old man, Martin Luther King read the eulogy for him, followed by Bill O’Reilly who read from the Koran, President Bush sends condelences from Iran, where Fox News reports live, that Ahmadinejad wins the Mandela peace prize”

That’s a strong goddamn line right there.

    76. LASER!!!!! the power of words sometimes… shit lol most time is miss understood but this is clear as day Lupe u have done it again and to the person who spot about Rick Ross and not buying Lupes album so right..so do ur self a favor and just dig ALL BLK EVERYTHING

    77. Incredible… Lupe is way too underestimated in my opinion. He is amazing.
      All black everything – Classic

    78. I wonder what happened to hiphop lately, alot of artist have been putting out incredible material. Guys like lupe deserve our support. SO BUY HIS ALBUM!

      1. That’s kinda not a good thing. Shows lack of respect for music and all of the other hard working musician’s you like. Just saying.

    79. ANYWHO,

CHECK ME OUT. I PROMISE GREAT MUSIC. IT’S A PROMISE!

    80. Words Ive never said, Im beamin, all black everything are all great songs

    82. Lupe Fiasco: the only hiphop artist to release a joint that befits the only month his people are celebrated by Americans.

      Happy Black History Month, folks!

    83. Damn Lupe, stop it, stop it, stop killin them. This sound is so real, I feel this, I am seeing it now, all black everything.

    84. Stupid dope. Lupe is that dude, quiet is kept can’t nobody out rap him even 3 stacks and Em would have problems with this dude. Lasers

    85. Lupe’s weakest record to date. Does not match the masterful laid-back fantasies of “Food and Liquor”, nor his darker, sobering philosophical reflections found in “The Cool”. This being said, it is stronger than most of the stuff that’s out and it has some dope songs, but it’s not the quality I would be expecting from someone like Lupe.

Like always, he is a lyrical monster, but I just don’t feel the whole concept of this record.

      3/5 stars.

    86. The only good song on Lasers. Fucking disappointing album. Fuck Atlantic for ruining Lupes vision.

      1. Listen, no one gives a shit. Stop trying to plug some no name rapper on every track talking about he can do this and that. Move along…

    87. This and ‘Words I Never Said’ are the only good songs on Lasers and we have Atlantic Records to thank… This song is pretty amazing though lol

    88. I absoultly love the album… and i will be buying it also on tha 8th… and for those people who think lupe solded out on some of tha tracks on this record… or was forced by atlantic to do more up beat songs like “out of my head” or ” i dont wanna care right now”… what i say to you is i actually think lupe also enjoys making music like that aswell.. my dudes young styll people!!! hes a human like us with different tastes and what not. LASERS is the perfect album for hip-hop at this point in time…

    89. When it hits the second verse this shit makes me cry “Everybody rappin like crack never happened/ crips never occured/ no bloods to attack them/ matter fact no hood to attack in”

    90. he did some work on this song. im deff feeling this song. keep doin ur thing Lupe dont a lot of african americans look into they history n actually think about how we came to be to this day. we get one month n waist it away like its just another. WE HAVE HISTORY !!!

    91. LuPe my brotha right here!! Im tryna see whats the hype about this rick fouche cat he was in the studio with…

    92. “Eminem fitted in but then again he inspired a black rapper tryin to mimic him/
And that’s what really rose up out of Michigan/the sign of white rapper by the name of 50 Cent, ha!”

Umm, so is 50 gonna go at this? Will Eminem take a shot too? I almost hope so, that’s what Hip-Hop needs, a huge ass beef.

      Em would kill Lupe, sorry.

    93. All he did was reverse Black History as if black people were the dominant race in the past. I’m guessing the message is to learn from history and CHANGE it for the better by becoming active in your community. Its possible to change the status quos of “All WHITE Everything.” ONLY IF YOU APPLY YOURSELF.

    94. Lupe is good but chill..your an idiot. Em would murder him in a beef. Just look at the past beef Em had, he destroys them.

      1. I don’t think so, Nas is dropping his new LP this year, when he get’s back from his world tour with Jr Gong in June!

    95. This Thursday March 10 2011
Lupe Fiasco Cordially Invites You to Attend

    96. This is an amazing song one of the few on the album. and who is dumb enough to think that its a shot at eminem?

      1. tupac came from ny too lol but to our defense we have really desirable weather, convertibles are useful for like 10 months out the year here, and dont get me started on the scenery.. so take that!

    97. Lupe is THE best MC (Yeah, I said MC, not Rapper) in the game. Fool’s lyrical ability is INSANE, only “mainstream” dude in the game who still tells a story that means something.
Mad props to him, keep killing it brother.

      1. i love the passion! hail the great mr krs one, ill be a soldier boy for ur g.o.o.d hip hop army anyday. make sure u dont ask so i wont have to tell tho. kisses

    98. How come Lupes album sounds like a disney soundtrack??? Glad i stopped listening to Lupe when he made that song for Twilight.

      1. Couldn’t you have thought of a more intelligent reponse? U mad cause Lupe sold the fuck out? He a pop star now with Justin Beiber.

      2. sell out
        vb (adverb)
        1. (Business / Commerce) Also (chiefly Brit) sell up to dispose of (supplies of something) completely by selling
        2. (tr) Informal to betray, esp through a secret agreement
        3. (intr) Informal to abandon one’s principles, standards, etc.

just cause he told u to your face doesnt mean he didnt

    99. Easily the best song on the Album. I wish it was better thsn what it was. but everyone makes 1 bad album. And Lupe will recover. Screw Atlantic Records, FREE LUPE!!!!!!!!

    100. Top Tracks on Lasers

      1. Words I Never Said
      2. The Show Goes On
      3. All Black Everything
      4. Till I Get There
      5. Never Forget You
      6. Letting Go
      7. Beautiful Lasers
      8. Break The Chain
      9. Coming Up

There was only 3 song I didn’t like which were “I Don’t Wanna Care Right Now” which was the worst song on the album “Out Of My Head” to poppy don’t like the chorus sung by Trey Songz “State Run Radio” Annoying Chorus it hurts my ears overall Igive Lasers a 4/5

    101. This is by far the dopest track on the CD. This is followed by Words I Never Said and The Show Goes On. Everything else sounds like it was written by Lupe’s alterego, Larry “Winning” Fantastic.

    102. signed a white rapper by the name of 50cent? hmm.. well Lupe get the fuck outta here. And 50cent mimic eminem? If in means cuz there’re both crazy and dont give a fuck, hell yea! Lupe has barely been around. His ass will get lazy and fall off just like every other dumbass artist that dont know what there’re talkin bout. 50cent should of put Lupe in ‘how to rob’ but wait lupe wasnt around and like ODB, probly broke as fuck

      1. YOUR A COMPLETE DUMBASS…
HE’S SWITCHING THE RACES AROUND IDIOT.
ITS HIS VISION OF NO RACISM!!

do u listen to music or do you just skim through it?

      2. Simple minded nigga. Its obvious the whole meaning of the song flew right over the ears of your simple-minded ears. smh

    103. wtf, shut the fuck up, you dnt know what you’re talking about. Dumb ppl like you is what prevents the growth of hiphop. You can have your opinion, but being so closed minded is anti-cinstructivr

    104. COLD. wow im gonna cop LASERS tomm. this track is too dope for simple minds. wow why did i even doubt LUPIN the 3rd.

      1. for the simple minded?are you serious?go burn forks with weenies on them.stuff 20 of them in a sock and take them to school with you.shove them in your crotch area.flirt with the popular girls.pull said weenies out and eat them while you cry your eyes out in the restroom stalls.slice your wrists with a butter knife ,softest dike, harder than nell carter in a fight.

      2. The guy above me. You need to read and comprehend instead of insulting him. He said NOT FOR THE SIMPLE MINDED. LEARN TO READ YOU FUCKING TWAT. YOU SOUND LIKE A FUCKING DUMB PIECE OF SHIT FOR THREATENING VIOLENCE ON THE OP. SO GO BACK TO GRADE 6 AND LEARN TO READ AND COMPREHEND BECAUSE CLEARLY YOU DON’T POSSESS THE SKILL TO DO SO.

    105. One of the best hip hop songs i’ve heard in recent years. Music that has the ability to make you think, makes you speechless, with a unbelievable feeling.

    106. lupe selling pie in the sky ideas is considered this fucking deep really i renege my vote, this is stupid, ill stick to pac.

    107. too bad Lupe is a pop star now anyone whos a fan of him should be FUCKING ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES you pop faggots U DONT KNOW HIP HOP

      1. 1)Lupe ain’t no pop star. He like another Wiz Khalifa now would you say he a pop star? 2)I shouldn’t be posting this to you anyway because you a hater and haters gone be haters 3) STOP HATIN

    108. i love lupe, he always takes it a step further with his lyrics…in the mean time check out Scotty Mac

TheLeakReport.com ….Scott Mac vs. The World EP coming soon 4 true Hip Hop fans

    109. look at all these white people on a black hip hop site commenting on hip hop like they black… every since eminem came out they think they black… 97 percent of hip hop & rap is black… we created hip hop…. that shi!!! looks so funny in the hood when you see a bunch of black dudes and like one white dude, and he have on a doo rag on and be sagging his jeans trying to fit in… yo that white dude that be walking wit those black dude is dangerous as fuk, because he proberly will do anything to win those black guys approval… plus you know no black chick from the hood ant go fuk wit no white dude that act black, they think shi!! is tooooo funny… i have a test for all the white people that trys to act black… put on a yellow doo rag wit grillz in your mouth and look in the mirror while bobbing your head and say (your what up son!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)or try and dance like us, its never gonna come out right…. check out the (sundrop soda commerical) wit the white girl dancing to (drop it like its hot),man thats like the funnyiest … white people have no thype of bone structure to to move like us… that why its looks so funny when they try and dance like us

      1. serious dude? who are you? why are you acting white. acting like charlie sheen. crazy and attention starved

    110. For those ignorant enough to find this racist:
He’s presenting a dream (or multiple dreams) where in a different world things could have been different if people werent racist (PEOPLE OF ALL COLORS) and he uses contrasting racial statements of the past such as black rat pack, or white rapper named 50 cent. It’s truly a brilliantly written song. The term ‘all black everything’ isnt referring to black people its a metaphor to shutting your eyes and not judging by what you see and being responsible.

    111. Niggggga! LUPE KILLLLED IT! kanye dogg u fucked up leaving this nigga lupe!and rumor has it he’s guna link up w MGK, Joey A.X. Blu, and The Deans List…thats ill. new class…way better than 2011 freshman trash

    112. incredible
they ay this his worst album… after that listen, im buying it!!!
lupe at his worst is better that this bullshit at its best!

    113. This song is fucking BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! This is a song I would play in my classroom after school is dismissed becuz I know some of my students would hang around to jive fake help me clean the classroom up but listening to my music and asking questions “Who is this Mr. ______?” Basically I would introduce them to other forms of hiphop that dont talk about the same ole bullshit they are use to hearing. BTW, I teach in Southeast DC where they are use to hearing that Waka Floka bullshit and that fake me out ass Rick Ross shit that consistently make songs that downgrade the BLACK COMMUNITY!!!!! I fucks with this joint here!!!!!!!!
