Besides that, I feel like the album will have more a “Kayne feeling” than a “Jay-z feeling” (innovative beat, artwork by a fashion director…). Jay-z is one the greatest rappers ever, but Kanye is excellent when it comes to create concepts or to have an overall vision for an album.
This beat sucks, Kanye’s verse sucks, and Jay verse was dope but he don’t sound right on this bama ass beat. The shit sounds like BMF pt5. Lex Lugar doesn’t empress me and Ren & Stimpy aka Kanye & Jay only linked up with his wack ass because of the name. Nothing about this shit is great at all. Stop fronting

OK, honestly, at first I was a little turned off by entire style of the song; until I listened to it over and over. Now I kind of like the song. Although, “Haters” was a decent track on Jay Z latest album, this song sounds like they tried to do another rendition of “Hater”
On the other hand, I thought the song was a joke when I seen the title “H.A.M” and the audio version on wshh. Usually when you hear the acronym or phrase “I’m about to go H.A.M”, you associate that slang with Southern rappers like Soulja Boy or Roscoe Dash. I would ever thought I hear Jay Z say “I’m about to go H.A.M”

All this talk bout Run This Town….’Ye verse was up/down in its quality. The start was weak, then picked up towards the middle then dropped towards the end. I though Jay’s first verse was solid, but the 2nd wasn’t on Run This Town. Its amazing what critics and then fans will rally behind. ‘Ye did not beat Jay on that track as much as people say. They both did about the same….its just Kanye came with a harder, more hungry delivery.
Seriously, if this album doesn’t end up MBDTF BEFORE ‘Ye changed the artistic direction (as in no more back to basics, boom bap) then its a let down. It doesnt have to be the ’90s anymore, but folks like Pete Rock, Primo, Madlib and Q-Tip are going to FORCE them to up the ante given the legends they are. Someone like Lex Luger doesnt command that kind of respect for his beat at this stage. Shoot, even Polow the Don and Danja would command greater respect. Lex is for the young kids in terms of his stuff, and Jigga and ‘Ye really need to get their ish together. My Bitch was a dope track (produced by Q-Tip) its a shame they would choose to put this out. I think this track is decent. Only listened once, though. I have say I was expecting to be ‘wowed’ since Kanye had stepped it up so much on this latest album. Jay-Z, too. Even though it’s not his best album, I thought BP3 was very good artistically. I was hoping that they would give us something with one of the classic producers said to be working on this album with them. The beat is straight, but I feel like these two have more to give than a track like this. Lyrics are decent, but being older I’m more into content now, so this track does not excite. The album is still getting bought, but I hope it’s not just some thrown together collection of tracks they just did on the side like this sounds. We’ll see…

It’s not bad, but it’s not great. I dunno’ fam, I think due to the rushed nature and the fact that Kanye is coming right off of MBDTF, this project smells of mediocrity. While he’s probably hands down my fave mainstream emcee, we all know Jay is capable of it when things are rushed…see: Blueprint 2; though, his verse saved this song from the depths. The Lex Luger track is sound, but it should’ve been on a Ross album. Due to the several producers and potential theme issues, this joint could be all over the place, with no cohesion. Maybe that’s the point though? Who knows? At this point in each of their careers, they can afford to do what the f*** they want without any real repercussions.

I though Jay’s first verse was solid, but the 2nd wasn’t on Run This Town. Its amazing what critics and then fans will rally behind. ‘Ye did not beat Jay on that track as much as people say. They both did about the same….its just Kanye came with a harder, more hungry delivery.
Seriously, if this album doesn’t end up MBDTF BEFORE ‘Ye changed the artistic direction (as in no more back to basics, boom bap) then its a let down. It doesnt have to be the ’90s anymore, but folks like Pete Rock, Primo, Madlib and Q-Tip are going to FORCE them to up the ante given the legends they are. Someone like Lex Luger doesnt command that kind of respect for his beat at this stage. Shoot, even Polow the Don and Danja would command greater respect. Lex is for the young kids in terms of his stuff, and Jigga and ‘Ye really need to get their ish together. My Bitch was a dope track (produced by Q-Tip) its a shame they would choose to put this out. I think this track is decent. Only listened once, though. I have say I was expecting to be ‘wowed’ since Kanye had stepped it up so much on this latest album. Jay-Z, too. Even though it’s not his best album, I thought BP3 was very good artistically. I was hoping that they would give us something with one of the classic producers said to be working on this album with them. The beat is straight, but I feel like these two have more to give than a track like this. Lyrics are decent, but being older I’m more into content now, so this track does not excite. The album is still getting bought, but I hope it’s not just some thrown together collection of tracks they just did on the side like this sounds. We’ll see…

It’s not bad, but it’s not great. I dunno’ fam, I think due to the rushed nature and the fact that Kanye is coming right off of MBDTF, this project smells of mediocrity. While he’s probably hands down my fave mainstream emcee, we all know Jay is capable of it when things are rushed…see: Blueprint 2; though, his verse saved this song from the depths. The Lex Luger track is sound, but it should’ve been on a Ross album. Due to the several producers and potential theme issues, this joint could be all over the place, with no cohesion. Maybe that’s the point though? Who knows? At this point in each of their careers, they can afford to do what the f*** they want without any real repercussions.

Decent. It’ll grow on me probably but Ye just didn’t impress me at all on this song. I was cool with Hov’s verse. I like the vocals on the chorus but besides that the beat is trash IMO
Doesn’t Kanye make beats? Haven’t Jay-Z and Kanye both made some of their best songs on a Kanye beat. This is a dope song, especially Hov’s verse, but it’s awkward seeing two of my favorite rappers, who pride themselves on being trendsetters, following trends.
