So the chronic has been replaced by the kush on this new ‘Detox’ track. Could it be? Will we finally see ‘Detox’? Is it too late?

    1. OMFG DETOX IS FUCKING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2. this song’s pretty good.. but for 10 years you had to be expecting some other level shit

Kanye’s MBDTF is that other level shit (with better production quality imo) … and took 1 year to do…

      hmmm

    3. Finally. Sounds like the return of Scott Storch brought about that dramatic orchestrated vibe the Doc needed for this last go round. Nate Dogg on the background vocal assist, too. Nice to see this reunion.

    4. Welcome back OG…. this shit go didnt think dre would actually come thro. Snoooop always got swag like a mufcka

    5. I think it’s dope. Catchy, what with Akon on the hook & all, and pretty damn good verses, with Dre & Snoop.

      1. Kanye’s music is for metro-sexual fruitcakes

If you dont like dre, click onto the next page, ust make sure you dont break a nail on the keyboard fruit loop

      2. I agree with Mortis 100%

Not hatin though. Just saying 10 years for this?? Kanye did Beautiful Fantasy in ONE

    6. iF this is on the Album then Dre need to just stop and retire, Real Talk, cause aint nothin special about this beat or song.

      1. how could you ever dis this beat? so westcoast blaze it up ridin music isn’t your thing. Respect. but bashin the beat? crazy fool

    7. luckily he didn’t make a fool out of himself, beat is fire, but he needs to step up if he wants to sell them big numbers

    8. 4. luckily he didn’t make a fool out of himself, beat is fire, but he needs to step up if he wants to sell them big numbers.

    9. this track is fire and better than 99% of the hot garbage that is released now a days. But to wait 10 years for this idk man. Feel like this track is a Buzz generator and hopefully dre drops a single with Shady. If there is any drake, wayne, minaj or anyother whack rapper on this album i aint buying it. HE should drop a single with Em and shut shit down have the radio on lock then his album features should be strictly west coast artists like game, cube, snoop, nate, warren G, xzibit.

    10. Why are people talking about kanye on this thread. I love kanye as much as the next but ask kanye, one of his biggest inspirations is the good doctor. He gave a tribute in rolling stone to dre saying that xplosive was one of the tracks that inspired his production style. No one makes you bob your head like DRE AND SNOOP baby!!!

    11. Shits tight except for Akon singing on it(Should had Nate Singing it)………….Kanye is what all the soft niggas listen too….dont compare him to dre!

    12. this is dr.dre in 2010. this gonna blow clubs up. the beat is ridiculous, bassline funky as hell. niggas ears are fucked up. niggas talkin bout kanye west, shut the fuck up. kanye does kanye. dre does dre. nobody got beats this big. snoop killed it, akon killed it, nate adlibs were dope and sad. dre sound crisp on the mic too. wait for a mixdown. detox is gonna be that shit. this sounds like some 3001 shit, good call dre. futuristic funk with a smokers twist, make george clinton proud. the old heads gonna be knockin they heads with a drink in hand to this shit. club banga.

      1. your fucked man if its club banging shit and its from dre theats whack. and kanye would fuck all threee these niggas up

      2. Lol must be a soft nigga……Cuz only Soft Niggas Bump Kanye!….Compare The Resumes Dre Smashes and he dosent sing his gurly Heart Out with Autotune…Real G’s bump Dre! Soft niggas bump Kanye and who gives a fuck what u gotta say In Response BIYATCH!

    13. DRE WE WANT UR OLD BEATS BACK ….

Why the fuck u ruin this sick piano with this fucking david guetta synthesizer…??

Understand that ur power is not the 15 years old “”new school”” girlies that might like this …ur power is ur old westcoast fans the mothafuckas that love STILL DRE that love this ORIGINAL westcoast dre flavor….

make a WESTCOAST classic and be sure that u will sell at least 1 million copies just by ur loyal fans that are waitin for 10 years….

    14. aite finally Dre comes out with some funky g shit, not that gay ass pop beat with jay z….this song is dope but i wish akon was replaced by nate dogg then it wouldve been EPIC….anyways, atleast Dre didnt fall off like eminem

      1. This is em fool.Fuck you fag. So what if i fell off. I am wack with stupid fans but you just as dumb listenin to gay ass dre

    15. It was ok. I expected more…but the next single is probably going to be something way better…more Pop orientated. This is obviously the song thats targeted to the Hiphop fiends. The single overall is a 7/10. Pretty catchy…Akon wasn’t really needed…but it was a nice addition. Is that Nate Dogg in the back singing at the beginning and the bridge? Nice. Anyways, The Production is top-notch. Has that modern dre sound along with a touch of the 2001 album in the background with the bass guitar. I like it, it probably won’t do too great on the charts, but Dre said he was going to release a song with Lady Gaga…which obviously is going to have a huge pop sound. This may be the only hiphop song…besides like 2..from Detox. It’s weird that its actually going to come out NOW..and we’ve waited SO LONG. This song is perfect for a knitty gritty smoking song…but lets hope the rest of the album is more than this. I expect a track of Dre wanting to NOT SMOKE hence “DETOX.”

Well, the track is catchy. The bass would definitely get clubs up and jumpin….but I think Dre is just giving us a small taste with this. I think he has something 50x better up his sleeve, but it’s not even hiphop I bet. I bet its some sort of Crazy futuristic electro hop awesomeness that is going to come out. I expect Detox to be released maybe early next year. If it comes by Christmas…that would be pretty neat. I expect something unique. Lets see what happens in the next few months.

    16. classic dre beat! i was mad when i saw akon on this put he held it down. is it just me or does the hold on wait a minute dude sound alot like nate dogg?

    17. are any of you like me? I’m getting ready for the gym right now!!!! Nothing makes me want to go pump heavy weight like a dre beat!!LOL

    18. yeaaaaahhh boi, its fianlly back to where its posd to be, dre day forever biaaatches lmao, beat jus gives a brothr goose bumps n the hunger in this…i fux wit it heavy

    19. It’s alright. I like this track, but I hope that their is more to Detox. Was this REALLY what Dre was working on for 10 years?! This won’t cut it in 2011….

    20. futuristic dre beat lol i like .. kept the gfunk not wat i was lookin for but we cant go bak to chronic days so lets see how dis goes ..

    21. It’s OK, its not Chronic or 2001 shit which is what I really wanted…but whatever maybe Dre has got a few West Coast flavor joints on there. I just want Detox to come out at this point; good or bad I don’t give a shit it just needs to come out.

    22. WEST IS BACK! Can’t Hold Back DRE, SNOOP, GAME, QUIK, CUBE, WC, PAC’s OUTLAWZ, E-40, YUK, WARREN G, NATE, MACK 10, G-MALONE, JAY ROCK, NWA, LIL EAZY-E, DAZ, KURUPT, CYPRESS HILL, EMINEM, KOTTONMOUTH, XZIBIT, STRONG ARM STEADY, SPIDER LOC & SO MUCH MORE!

      1. lol scrap eminem for obvious reasons and The game dont know where hes from. plus hes a bi-polar stripper with suspect tats all over himself. bad look for the west but othere than that dont forget crooked i, ya boy, 40 glocc, & nipsey

    23. Why do people act like Dre has been cooking this up for 10 years? He probably scrapped this project countless times and restarted with new sounds, vibes, directions for the album. Yeah he’s been making this beat for 6 years, the verses took 2, and another 2 to get Akon’s part right. Get real and wake the fuck up. Beat bangs, lyrics are what I expected. It’s Dr.Dre, I’m not really interested in the lyrics.

      1. finally someone realizes it, this album is only a few years in the making, been scrapped in that period and completely restarted after the negative reaction he got to Under Pressure. That video of his interview a month back or two with him saying “all new shit” shows you this album has changed time and time again

      2. dre hasnt legitally started working on detox since dec last year. everything before that was scrapped aswell as him not caring because he was producing everywhere else. this was probably picked as one of the songs hes made for a single because it has the possibility for radio and club music, and i like it.

    24. its ok but no where near epic, u have to remember people this is a album we have waited 12 years for!! they said he made over 100 versions of this album and this is the best single he could come up with?? dont get me wrong it bangs but this would of been hot a few years back u made us wait this long we want the best hip hop we have ever heard!!! get real people!!

    25. OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI OH BOI

CLASSIC DETOX COMING OH MY GOD 2010=BEST YEAR EVERAAAAAAAAAAA

    26. meh…more of the industry conforming to the teenie boppers buying this garbage. save that auto tune for the people who ruined the game. dre your better than that…more hip pop is not what I need…digging the “rain” track with Bishop WAYYY more than this

    27. I hate when fuck’s constently hate and make negative comments…beats tight, lyrics tight…this is grown up muzik

    28. Had to listen 7 times to make sure i gave this a proper rating. If he has a longer version of this on the album with a more extravagant synth and symphonic feel after the bridge this beat will be epic. Right now it is just a 4/5. Wish Nate was on this more.

Straight from the WESTSIDE, The BEST SIDE, Out.

    29. Daaaaaaamn, this is the good ol’ Snoop and Dre. This song is SICK. Finally we’re getting some Detox! Great job from the Doc

    30. Are you faggots for real? This song sux. The best since 2001? You idiot, The wash was better, Dres hook on ” SHit hits the fan ” , Bad Intenions from the yr 2002 was Better……Good old snoop and Dre, WHAT THE FUCK……Listen to AInt nuttin but a G thang, Dre Day, Bitches aint shit, STill Dre, Poor young Dave, The List goes on and On, you call this shit WESTCOAST? Fukcing Bubble Gum Garbage, Fuck All Yall, AInt true to Nuttin BITCH!

    31. so much for Dre “saving” hip hop.

Was hoping that he would come with some innovative shit to push the boundaries & make everybody else better

Instead he came with the trash that is already flooding the airwaves. Dre conformed like a motherfucker & for what? To sell records to the teeny boppers?

Dre don’t give a fuck about music anymore. This is just another shitty product like the HP Beats computer.

1/5 because there is no option to give a ZERO

    32. dosnt dound like dre with the smooth slow flow…he sounds like shit…snoop with good and yeah…nate had to be on this hook. putting akon on this gives you an automatic L. the beat and snoop saved this shit from total wacknesss…dre needs to get someone else to write his shit on this joint. his vocals are barely comprehensible..take another ten years to remake detox if you sound like this on the rest of your songs dre…

    33. OMG haha! You “fans” are so analytical these days! Dre’s back, isn’t that good news in itself? Enjoy the music!

    34. OK DR DRE IS ON FUCKIN FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS SONG IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF U DONT FEEL THIS GO BANG URSELF BITCH ASS FUCKERS

    35. My lyrics are way better than Dr. Dre & Snoop put together. They had their glory already. Now it’s time the world heard of Creed Chameleon & my label Flip The Bird. I am the one that will carry the torch and take yall higher.

    36. HELLYEAAAAAA!!!! DR DREEE IS BACK!!!!!!! HIS REAL FANS LIKE ME HAVE BEEN DYING FOR SOME CPR TO BE DONE TO HIPHOP AND HERE IT IS!

    37. can anyone confirm that this is from detox for sure? Man, this is some hard sh*t. one of my favorite things about dre beats. I love how he lets the beat run for the last few measures. ILLLLLLLLLLLLL

    38. LOOK OUT FOR DETOXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    39. Should’ve put Kobeon the hook… or someone besides Akon… but shit DETOX BABY! I just got chills! Need a release date!

    40. I’m feelin it. A HUGE improvement over that embarrassing Under Pressure track. This is what we want to hear on Detox, real HIP HOP! Bring it on Dre we ready!! Gotta go give it a few more spins now ->

    41. This would have been a good tract 8 years ago but now I just think Dre should just sweep Detox under the rug and stick with producing and hang the rap gloves up. It never works if you have been gone for so long and expect people to receive you like you never left because of two things 1. music evolves and majority of music listeners what to hear some new ish not that old west coast and 2. You may still have your core but to maintain any music edge you need to gather a new audiance for a new generation of listeners and I dont feel it can be done. If he were to have dropped an album every few years then it would be a diffrent story. Just think if Jay-Z would have waited 10 years from the Black Album to drop Kingdome Come who would receive this music? Certainly not a new audiance yeah your core but thats it Dre do us a favor and 86 Detox

      1. Chronic 1993, Chronic 2001 – 2000, Detox – 2011?

Seems like its about that time and it was 7 years, now 11 years (?)… I would tend to agree but Dre is different. We’ll see.

    42. THE TIME HAS COME . . ALL THESE LIL FAGGOT ASS NIGGAS WILL SOON BE NON-EXISTENT . . THE DETOXIFICATION HAS BEGUN

    43. wayne, drake, t.i. . . fuckin that lil ass kid bieber . . it’s over for yall . . take a fuckin walk . THE END . point. blank. period.

    44. Not a classic song, but it is solid song. I think it would have been better if Nate Dogg got on the Hook instead of Akon. Then again I am not a huge fan of Akon so I am biased.

      1. fyi the only reason Nate Dogg’s not on it is b/c he’s still recovering from two strokes that occurred between 2007 and 2008 that basically left his left side of the body paralyzed. You may have not known this, not holding it against you, but that’s the reason he’s not been on many songs recently

    45. this shit is awesome. dre should never listen to haters. If he wants to make one more great album he should. and he will…

    46. GUYS GUYS LISTEN!!!!

are you like me ?? do you hope detox will be full of akon drake nikki minaj LIL GAGA AND WHILE WERE AT IT JUSTIN BIEBER ????

    47. finally a track that is detox worthy. on point with “hard liquor” with game. dre definitely loves the pianos these days. i still want to hear some old p.funk dre though

    48. Meh This really doesnt impress me. Think of all the hype these guys threw at us for 10 years.. And this is what comes out? Its good, but im done waiting on Detox. This is a letdown. Dre is a letdown. He don’t have any fire saved up… unless its Eminem doing the hard work for him then it might be good.

    49. Snoop killed it as usual! Dre off some new shit! Get akon the fuk off off the track and put kurupt on that bitch! lol

    50. Like Cube once said, “It ain’t a hit unless Nate Dogg spit!” which he should have…fuck Akon! Detox hopefully doesn’t dissapoint!

    51. 100% Agreed Dre w/Gabe-Real, wtf is Akon doin on this joint this deffinately needs Nate Dogg.. Akon sucks and ruins the track

      1. Bro, where have you been? Nate can barely speak, let alone sing. Had a major stroke a while back – hopefully he’ll be back soon.

    52. DAMN BEEN WAITING FOR SUCH A SONG FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!

DRE IS FINALLY BACK; GLAD TO HAVE SUCH A GOOD MUSIC BACK!

      LOOK OUT FOR DETOXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

    53. Yo to everyone saying let’s hear nate dogg he’s had multiple strokes and ain’t doin well. Have a prayer for him and hopefully one day we will hear him again

    54. Are you niggas insane?? This shit is wack. I’m a huge Dre fan but this is some unimaginative shit. Maybe you younger cats who just started listening to rap think this is hot but this is BORING, formula fake shit.

      1. u suck! if u are a true fan of dre u would like this. u sound like a true hater thinking u know whats good about hip hop. DRE IS HIPHOP!!!

    55. If Detox is released one day, I absolutely won’t buy it. It’s too late, hip-hop has changed and learned how to live without you, Doc. Why would I buy an album that is delayed since 10 years in order to promote a headphones brand?! The track is pretty good, but if it takes him 10 years to make this kind of music, there is a problem. Look at what other producers are able to do in 2 years or so.

      1. are you stupid? this album has been in the works for 10 years he came up with the headphones idea about 4 years ago!And it does’nt take him 10 years to do it he said before he barely got a solid year to work on Detox because he was working on other material. In the last 10 years it has been dre’s production and his development of artistic talent which has been huge in the game. You don’t have to buy the album if you dont want to but dont make up bullshit as an excuse not to

      2. dr.dre just basically put his finger in the hiphop clock and moved the hour hand fowards…im sorry but i would love to see what youve been listening to thats sooo up too date? the only producer who actually sounds like hes in a new decade is kanye and dr.dre now, i would honestly love to know what you listen too. Now if your hiphop purist then you have absolutley no right to judge this because then yeah this probably isnt your thing.. some of you are like republicans, mean well but cant let go. Now if your into the new fresh hiphop stuff like on hotnewhiphop.com then with all do respect you dont know what your talking about, AND are actually probably very uncomfortable listening to this because you cannot understand how somebody made such a beat without using fruity loops.. “HIPHOP HAS CHANGED TO LEARN WITHOUT YOU” obviously hiphop is going to be learning to live without what FUCKING GARBAGE that you listen to because obviously dr. dre has sonically created something that makes you lil wayne tween or hiphop hatriot ass uncomfortable…

      3. Don’t worry I don’t listen to what you may consider as “garbage”, and I have respect for the hughe heritage Dr. Dre gave to hip-hop, but I don’t think that a new album from him in 2010 would bring something so important. Once again I think this track is pretty good, but honestly, is it what we should expect from Dr. Dre after so much years of supposed work? He is still a really talented artist, but I think the anticipation for his new material is smaller than before. And I don’t consider the last ten years as a period of hard work for Dr. Dre, I think it is more a hiatus, and he tried to keep the hip-hop heads waiting for Detox for too long. Of course I hope he will prove me wrong and make an extraordinary album, but for now he lost my attention.

      4. @alex Couldn’t agree with you more…

@Hey dre, you’re lost in the YMCM hypnotization, not your fault though, Em and Dre left you alone with them bitches. But they’re back now, so pack your bags and join the truth

    56. This is a pretty solid track that may be unfinished, i think dre could tweak it a little bit in the mixing process and make this sound even better. Hopefully he will release detox after all, if so I think it will be a solid album. Not a super classic like its hype is asking for, but nonetheless really good.

      1. Im tired of heads on hear making comments about how the should mix the track or tweek the drums or bring up the lows or whateve…shut the f**k up!!

      2. Engineer if tired of hearing about it then stop reading the comments section fool. This is a blog site where people can say what they want. The more viewpoints the better, instead of a non-sensical rant that makes you sound like its your time of the month.

    57. The beat is pretty hot. And the verses are actually cool also. I havent heard a snoop flow like that for a long time and dre sounded hungry (thanks ghostwriter(s?).

But there is a genericness about it that doesnt push me over the edge. The fact Akon is on the hook isnt great…If its a track that has been leaked to create a buzz and wont make the album – great. If this is set to be first single/offering off detox – little worried

    59. Nothing special. Dre sounds as Game. Beats sounds old to, only dre did add a few things to it. Let’s say an updated beat.

Rappers from 40 years old still rapping about weed? lol

      1. well, 40 year old people do smoke weed. So it make since for dudes who made a living by making music about smoking dope will continue to do so. George clinton is still singing abt that shit.

    60. DR DRE IS DANM NEAR 50 YEARS OLD AND GOT YOU DUMB MUTHAFUCKERZ FOOLED. TALKING BOUT SMOKING WEED AND DRINKING HEN. YOU DONT WANT TO MOVE ON STILL STUCK IN THE PAST. BUT THE SHIT IS TIGHT AND I WILL BUY IT. LOL……….. west west yall

    61. Great track, hope he doesn’t scrap it because it leaked, if this off detox then it’s a good sign of things to come.

    62. This Is Dope, For All The Haters This Is Not Fully Mixed Or Fully Mastered Yet… If You Want To Hear It Bang Go Play It In Your Car Or Big Speakers… And You Will Vibe To It… Also Dr. Dre Got A Second Verse Missing..

    63. Strip club music, it will blend with alot of the shit that’s going on today and the southern movement, etc wacka guci, rick ross, would’nt say wack” but it ain’t that rugged..j dilla for life!!!

    64. I swear Dre just changed everything again… This beat is a game changer, how can you sound like the past and sound like the future at the same damn time? Only the Doc. I know Hip Hop came back in the past two years, but this right here just confirmed that, for real.

Nuthing but a g thang, fuck wit dre day, deez nuts, keep their heads ringing, california love, still d.r.e, xxplosive, in da club… Should I go on?

Sonically, nobody touching dre. He is the Quincy Jones of hip hop and Eminem is the Michael Jackson, yeah I said it.

    65. Verse parts are great…the hook is…pretty bad. He’s waited way to long on Detox, now its like nothing he could possibly do will ever live up to 2001…in 2005, we might not have held him to that same standard, and still accepted the weak hook on this track cuz the rest of the song is so good…at this point though, how can we expect anything less than perfection?

    66. LIKE SERIOUSLY THIS A CLASSIC
      GOD DAMN BEAT BANGING

NIGGAZ STOPPED GIVING A FUCK BOUT DETOX?

PFFT YEAHHH RIGHT LOOK AT HOW MANY COMMENTS IT GOT UNDER 10 HOURS.

      THIS SHIT FINNA GO DIAMOND
      DETOX BITCHHHHHHH
A NIGGA WAITED FOR SOOOO LONG FOR THIS SHIT
      AND ITS COMING ITS COMINGGGGGGGGGG

    67. PLUS THIS WILL NOT GET SCRAPPED THIS THE OFFICIAL SINGLE THEY SHOOTING THE VIDEO FOR IT.
AND PLUS EVEN SNOOP DOGG TWEETED ABOUT IT LAST NIGHT(THAT WAS WHEN IT LEAKED)
      http://twitter.com/snoopdogg
      “The time has come…#DETOX”
      “KUSH”

SO I GUESS THIS WHY GAME AINT RELEASE HIS ALBUM YET, THEY GON RELEASE DETOX THEN THE OTHER CLASSIC R.E.D.
DETOX ALL UP IN YOU FACE BITCHESSSSSSSS
      WEST WEST YALLL

    68. Well let’s see..is dis wat i’ve been waitin 4 da las 10 years fo? NO! but knowing how dre always comes thur wen he’s doubt it ima stay on board and wait 2 judge da rest of detox wen i hear it but hey 1 thang fo sho its gud to hear old nate dogg on da track! Gives me dat 2001 feeling..not a game changer but dats go be da 1 wit em!

    69. The beat is already legendary. What throws me more is I havn’t heard Snoop sing a decent verse in 10 years nice to hear him with passion back in his voice. Does anyone do a hook like Akon?

Dre you mother fucker it’s about time!

    70. man oh man Dr.fuckin DRE is back son! lovin the simple, clean beat. ridin with snoop n akon bunnin dat tripA GC Kush. KUSH MUSIC! BOMB BOMB lol

    71. Great debut single!! Damn this beat goes hard!! Everybody went in on this one!! Could’ve easily seen Game riding this beat, remix perhaps?? 5 stars easy!! DETOX!!!!

    72. I dont think niggas will ever get it. Hip Hop is not the same anymore the music is disposable. The song is good but not classic, too much autotune and computer generated beats. This song will be good for about a week or two then it will be forgotten about.

I told ya before the Detox has taken too long to come out and it will not be what everybody wants it to be. The time has past for it to be monumental, because Dre wants the record sales and that means he will go for the top 40, not the underground.

Face it people classic Hip Hop has came and gone.

      1. You idiot. I said the song was good.
I was just was giving my opinion about the state of Hip Hop in general. I got big respect for Dre, but the music has changed, so I’m assuming you must be young. Hip Hop started way before 2010 if you didn’t know.

Sorry if you dont understand or its ova ya head.

    73. This beat sounds like one of those Fruity Loop beats that you hear on mixtapes. Dre feel off big time, talking about the same things as a 20 year old.

I really do think Dre has some kind of hearing damage or something, being in those big studios with loud speakers, because this beat is wack – no melody, the bass and instruments sounds like lame Fruity Loops presets.

      1. Agree with Marvin. From the early 90’s to the early 00’s every Dre produced track made me go “DAMN!, this is sum crazy shit” From “100 miles and runnin” to “Bad Intentions”. Now the last 5 years his beats sound like he has no inspiration.

    74. THX DRE for No BlingBallinBullshit!!keeep it dat way fo DETOX pleeeease! The Quality is in the DEtail as always.. which make parts of da beat ring in ur head! OK so it sounds kinda common.. Old Dre beat elements meet todays sound elements… I see! but stil goes down smooth nevertheless.. Hey aslong as DETOX stays on this level of Quality and as a true nd RIch as Hell Veteran aka dont need to Prove shit to nobody = Andre keeps out da FLossyFlossy Ballin Crap in Times of Global Recession = Then this Album is going to be Great! Dre probably aint going to be able to ReInvent the Wheel.. so what??!

    75. Dr Dre needs to get Wayne and Gucci on the remix, no one gives a f*** about Snoop and Akon these days – two old washed up artists, Wayne is the biggest thing since MJ, if Wayne aint on it, it aint hot.

And another thing, Dre needs to stop using those corny sounding pianos on every track he does, it sounds so 90s, and maybe get Wayne to play a few guitar licks on Detox.

      1. “wayne aint on it, aint it fire”????? these kings been crowned, waynes a homo!! still smokin mother fucker

      2. Common man, you sirious? I aint saying that wayne is wack, but i dont like most of his song, because he cant rap normal. Wayne does a lot mumbleing the last years, he sounds on crack all the time. But that will change soon, i think waynes days are count.

Dr. Dre, Eminem, 50 Cent, T.I., Nelly, Kanye West, Lloyd Banks will be relevant in the coming years.

      3. damn guy thats some ignorant ish. Trade dre piano riffs for waynes guitar riffs? Damn how could you be serious? Wayne literally has no talent on the guitar while Dre has been makin some of the hottest beats since the early 90s. Grow up man learn some hip hop history before interjecting a wack ass opinion.

      4. are you retarted? like seriously your the type of person that gives bad music it’s fame just kill yourself.

      5. your just fucking stupid. Youd want to replace dre AND snoop, let alone with gucci. What are you doing on this shit anyway, shoudnt you be sucking little waynes dick.

        Lol, wayne and guitars

    76. Lloyd Banks back on his A game.
50 Cent is coming back to his A game.
Kanye West is back on his A game.
Nelly is also busy on his comeback.

NOW Dr. Dre is on his way. This is the best time to come with Detox. Because it is getting the shape it had ten years ago.

Hip-Hop can be proud, last half year we have got a LOT more quality hip-hop music compared to the last few years.

IT LOOKS LIKE THIS DECADE BEGINS LIKE THE PREVIOUS ONE, WHERE SHADY/AFTERMATH/G-UNIT WERE RUNNING THE INDUSTRY.
AND THE PERIOD WHERE HIP-HOP WAS IN THE SPOTLIGHTS.

    77. honestly i don’ even know why snoop messes with dre. seems to me the only time dre and snoop are “cool” is when dre needs him on a track, but snoop can’t get a dre beat to save his life, at least since 1999. i would leav that ni**a hangin on his project like he did me.

    78. This is average . dr dre waiting this long to put this average shit out ? COME ON MAN

BEAT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING I HEARD BEFORE . BUT ITS ALRIGHT I GUESS

    79. hiphopbaby76

it’s ok. feels like it was forced.snoop sonded good, great to hear dre again, akon is always got a soft flow.

    80. weak ass track should have sent akon back to africa or the trance and techno scene and put nate dogg on the track to have it really be about kush. and if lil wayne gets on this track i’ll lose all respect for dr. dre

    81. Dre is lame as fuck ! His son died from an OD and he still rap bout X-pill and shit

beat is ok though but i expected somethin different after 10 years

    82. reverbnation.com/astacks, real hip hop, kid is amazing, check him out This is alright, not worth 10 years wait though

    83. Even in africa we will not bootleg detox. We will buy it. People r proud down this side to bump aftermath beats, I see their smiles all the time, and i guess the music BUYING people in the states will buy it too, not the blogger bootlegers. We been respectin tha DOC since the 80’s (and i’m below 25 years old). Great track. And detox gonna b fire. Straight 5 / 5 all the way.

    84. Time to take the cover off the 94 Impala, iron the black Dickie suit, and lace the Chucks up. This is so WestCoast. It’s gonna be a hot WINTER!

    85. so it took him 10 years just to jack the melody and structure from a 90s dance track called “face down ass up thats the way we like to fuck”

and to spit on the same concepts his last album was about, really where is the growth, wheres the new sound he said he was bringing coz this is jus a revamped 90s dance song slowed down and given new drums n rap lyrics

    86. True say wat most people are saying, I too was expecting abit of a different sound but dre n snoop still killed it for smooth delivery. Wouldn’t have akon on the track at all though he’s as weak as a limp dick!

    87. even if this is still not a detox track, its a glimpse of what dr dre is sculpting. West Coast prepare for another run….detox!!!!

      1. i mean im a dre fan too but enough is enough in the past 20 years he only got 2 albums…so say he drops this year or next year..when’s the next album after detox gonna drop? when he’s in his 50’s??…btw track is dope!

    88. Lil Wayne’s version of “Kush” – Track 3 off “The Leak” 2007 Cash Money Records — is better than this Chronic 2001 leftover with HIV positive Akon and washed up Snoop.

Lil Wayne > Anything by Dre in last 5 years.

    89. Ok ya’ll, I think Dr Dre is back! This goes HARD! Maybe because I’ve lowered my expectations for the album upon hearing Under Pressure? But shit, this still bumps – I don’t want to take away Dre’s shine on this track. I mean, what are ya’ll expecting? Dre just is a hip-hop producer lol.

    90. Pshhhhhh @ A-Dogg Lil Wayne is like a diet of lucky charms only, they are tasty at first but then they get old and start making you sick when you even hear the name.

Grown man music = Dr Dre

Fag shit, whiny bullshit lolli pops = Lil Wayne

    91. Detox really has been built up too much. This leak and the one with Jay-z have been disappointments. I know people will say that they were unfinished tracks but they still dont sound like they will be much better when they are actually finalised. I’m 22 now and I think this might have appealed to me more when I was younger and hadn’t experienced as much hip hop. Dre is still a dope producer and you can’t take that away from him. But while people like kanye are looking to the future, dre’s still living in the past. This really does sound like some 2001 shit. I think detox will have a few commercial hits but overall, will be poor.

    92. DEtOX is here… ya’ll sleepin on dre!! no body can fuck wit his sound!!! Get his headphones, blaze a joint, and bang this shit! 22 you are to young, grown men music. west coast is back

    93. People act like this isnt classic Dre style…This is what we wanted from Dre! Everyone was complainin that he was gonna come with some weak dance/techno shit now he comes with this Dre shit! Talkin bout what he knows best!!! People will always hate! Was Nate Dogg on this???!

      1. good comment. and that sounds an awful like nate dogg. i’m still very skeptical about the album but this is better than what i thought it was gonna be. he shoulda kept the Catalina beat for himself too

    94. beat is mainy tho! shit slappin off top…wasn’t a perfect 5 but much respect to OG’s in the game we got love for em out here in Northern Cali.

    95. I’m wit u Doc on this 1…It has that old school sound to it that i miss so very much feel me…But it also has that new sound that everyone’s into right now…Im not into all that singin’ & autotune but at least he makes it sound good. I cant wait till that detox drops…Shit fuck all the bull thats out right now…FUCK HIP POP

    96. THIS MY SHIT RITE HERE…SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE IF EVERYONE DID…I GOTS THAT PITTSBURGH PURPLE FYYYRRREEEE

    97. the last hting i expected to ehar on dre first releasse was auto tune hmmmm, the best part of this song was the 20 seconds at theend with the beat and the exhale bit aint bad but if this didnt have dre on it i wudnt like it, u gots give him a chance tho right

    98. This is the type of shit to smoke to , beat’s fire , 90’s vibe , we lack this shit right now , dre definetly ain’t selling out , I hope he finnally comes with something concrete , we’ve been waiting for too long

    99. This is ok, it has that progressive sound but the keys and kicks keep it hip-hop. No rappers singing or singers rapping, how it should be. A lot better than most of the stuff that leaked before. Im looking forward to what comes next for sure.

    100. Whoooo!! Much better than I was expecting and much better than the under pressure beat. I was expecting to be disappointed (I’ll buy it regardless) but now…maybe not. Only time will tell.

    101. YEAH……..that is a bit more like it! It WILL NOT be on detox and its UNFINISHED, str8 from dre’s mouth…..he said its a “good” trak but does not reflect the album…..keep at it duude! Detox 2011!! WEST back in!!

    102. The beat is real tight!! But Dre’s rapping is horrible!! And has been terrible on anything he’s rapped on the past few years. He might have to step back from the mic and let others handle that.

    103. For all y’all tryna clown on the Doc, go back and try and make something better if you hate it. Bet nann one of y’all ain’t gone be able to. There’s a reason why he’s a producer and why we’re all still fans.

    104. I love how people say dre sounds like game, I think you will find game has spent his whole career trying to emulate dres style.

    105. ” Ypu pussy your Not Pac, I Knew him, Pac was a real Nigga , your just a fukcing Insult to em ” Now Thatsd some Classic Dre Shit

    106. Really??? Did Dre really replace Nate Dog w/ Akon??? HELL NAH!!! Beat is dope, Dre came alright but Akon??? I’ve been over Akon/hood type hooks since Locked Up…

    107. AH….this is the beat playing in the background on that “Power Beats By Dre” commercial w/ Affion Crocket and Lebron James……this SHIT goes in….FTW!!

    108. After that track with Jay, and the ridiculous amount of delays, I was really doubtin’ the hype around Detox, but this track is more like it. I can see Detox now. Although less Akons etc. please more Snoop, Nate Dogg etc.

    109. This track would easily be that much MORE of a banger if it was Nate Dogg and not AKON. No disrespect to AKON it’s just that people want to hear the original line up, home team.

Dre… if you read this… can we get a Nate Dogg version for the album?

    110. this is better than under pressure. be real if u a real hip hop fan u got chills when the beat dropped. it’s crazy. them signature cowboys and them drums. akon is wack on this. nate dogg would be perfect. doc verse was cool. snoop is timeless. has one of the best flows of all time. DRE PLEASE LOSE AKON AND ADD NATE DOGG!!!

      1. I thought it was common knowledge by now, but I guess not, so.. NATE DOGG VERY UNFORTUNATELY HAD TWO STROKES A COUPLE OF YEARS BACK, WHICH LEFT HIM PARALYZED AND UNABLE TO SPEAK OR SING AT ALL FOR NOW:(( IF THAT HADN’T HAPPENED I BET AKON WOULDN’T BE ANYWHERE NEAR THIS TRACK AND NATE WOULD BE BACK WITH THEM CLASSIC HOOKS. Anyway, pray for dudes full recovery and hopefully one day he will be able to walk again and bless us with his timeless music once more. Nate = GOAT of hooks / Chorus God

      2. actually, he can talk, but hes in a longterm recovery place until he can fully grow his lung capacity and speech back, and until he can fully walk again. get your fucken facts straight.

      3. Anonymous: Google it up, this april Damizza (a friend and colleague) said in DubCNN.com interview that Nate is at this time unable to speak and has to communicate via eye movement, so as much as I hope you are right, unless you have more current info from actual source STFU. I was just trying to help here. Get better Nate, game ain’t the same without you!

    111. DAMN, i’ve been waitin on some shit like this from dre! DETOX is coming, yall better be ready, picture yourself rollin to this thats what its all about man

    112. Everybody knows this is wack. Actually it’s not wack but it’s OLD SCHOOL and the lyrics are subpar. Dre upgrade the funk in your shit.

    113. I can tell Jay wrote Dre’s verse. I don’t care what yawl say, he was trying stress certain words the way Jay does but it’s not a good fit for Dre. Jay also wrote Still Dre which worked alot better.

    114. NATE DOGG IS IN A FUCKEN LONGTERM RECOVERY PLACE. he had two strokes people, so stfu. your annoying the fuck out of me with wanting nate dogg, we all do, but until hes better its not
      going
      to happen

    115. Andre, why did your kid OD, or kill himself, or whatever?

And this is the ‘grown man’ shit you’re on?

      Fucking asswipe.

    116. Intro sucks they need to get rid of that autotune shit
Chorus sucks and sounds totally out of place with the song and dosnt flow together
The inhale exhale part is also shit and annoying which i would of scrapped
THat being said the rhymes and beats are tight so gets a 3 for me but needs more work to be a classic.

    117. well dr dre is doing waaaaay too much with this beat its subpar damn near wack fuck it its WACK sorry its the truth its like i’ve heard this style millons of times just scrap this song and come harder on the next.

    118. 2pac said Dr.Dre couldn’t do beats cause he was too busy sucking dick and eating pussy and it shows this is wack dre hire mell man and hi tek to do your beats u washed up bruh

    119. This is the kinda sound I’ve come to expect from Game albums. Fact if you swapped Dre and Game’s voice, no one would even know the difference.

Doesn’t mean it’s bad. I like Game. I’m just not expecting anything revolutionary from this record. Seems like we’ve heard this before.

    120. this sounds like some bishop lamont type flow, nate dogg would have took this song to the next level! good song but nothing amazing that detox should be!

    121. stop stupid shit saying dre is like the game bit** dre bring to the wholr rap game the one who bring the one that brought game to the rap scene ( dre -Em _50 )

      1. lol. yeah dre’s been sitting in the studio for 10 years just working on this one track. how stupid are people. Just because it’s been 10 yrs since his last album doesn’t mean he’s been working on it the entire time!! Good Fuck!

    122. I don’t understand the whining, the track is dope! Seems like some people have set their expectations too high, after all it’s an album not a cure for all diseases known to man or a blueprint for a time machine! And it ain’t like Dre’s been cooking this album and this album only 24/7 for the past 10 years, that’s unrealistic thinking. Cut the crap and take the music for what it is and you will enjoy it.

About the record, Akon with his thin ass autotune voice is no match for Nate, but everyone did their thing regardless. Beat is hot as fuck! Overall, a solid start for Detox. 4/5 because I expect there are even better songs for Detox in store, now all we need is the video and the countdown can begin.. bring it Doctor!

    123. no vid yet means no detox album for a while.
nate sounds good. dre alright- beat is pretty standard, but dope and snoop has the dopest line: tighter than the pants on will.i.am!

      1. hey shamrock 12-
the professional calculated way would be to have the video drop asap- so looks like your mislead- a video called kush would be banned on mtv and BET. wtf- its obvious to cats who know that kush might not even be on the album. i hope it aint.
        MORE NATE LESS AKON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    124. How yall hatin on the Doc?? I remember when Death Row was at it’s peak, yall niggas loved the west. Emulated our clothes, cars, lifestyle, etc. We on our way back 619 to 323 to 510, lets get it!! You know yall niggas love it. Yall just mad the West bout to make that second run!!! I like the 4 bars the got obiviously from a previous Nate Dogg recording (ala Warren G and Raekwon Song).Akon does it justice… 4.5/5. can’t lie the begining was kinda shaky but when I heard the pianoes, it was a WRAP, WEST MUTHAFUCKIN COAST!!!!!!!

      1. co sign man, haters today hate on anything…clearly this shit is epic, the beat is so sexy.

i don;t even smoke but this song gives me second thoughts lol

      1. That is the funniest shit i have ever read on this website. “Just like you weren’t worth the 9 month wait. ” Literally ‘Lol’.

    125. this song is dope …those of u who say it sounds like a game song ..remember that game was dres student game sounds like dre u all got it twisted…im tired of east coast rap i hope dre brings back the west1

    126. this is the only smoking song on detox, from Dre’s mouth, but for those complaining because it is a smoking song saying we’ve heard it time and time again, IT’S CALLED “KUSH”, can you be that dumb to expect a different topic from the title of the song. Song was posted late last night on this site, 20,000 listens in 1 day

      1. hey vincent,
nate had 3=2 strokes means notihng. dre is probably considering over 100 tracks- some of which date back to 2006 maybe, so dont act like you know. plus nate is on kush- so shut the fuck up dummy.

    127. Dr. Dre is back with that gansta shit, loving it, im pleased today was a good day, my wife is back, Dre put out an oustanding record, Thanks GOD, and dre keep up with the good work.

    128. face fact you guys who keep sayin “this gon bring the west coast back” you guys goin to end like the east coast fans, always looking for a savior the next snoop, the next cube, the next dre come on. After 10 years we get a good song from Dr.Dre thats 10 years 2 late change the name don’t make it detox it can never live up to the hype 4/5 sounds like a leftover track from 2001…Nov 22 MBTWF thank god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    129. achpe2 yeah 2pac would of been 40 by now but he would of been talking about some real shit unlike that faggot dre, dude keeps sucking dick thats why this album aint come out yet, oh yeah *you’re an idiot.. next time you want to insult me at least spell the world properly

    130. I’m a hip hop fan, but I’ve lost the momemtum of wanting to hear his new album. Besides, his first track better be monumental… or all fanfare is gone. His true fanbase is 30-40 years old.. and something about that age is, a responsible person don’t have time for that bulls—. got a serious hunch that dre is going to be the one whom tries to solidly transition hip hop to dance/techno hop.

    131. It sounds like something we all heard before but vamped up with synths and bridges and melodies, plus girls & fags can dance to it. But it don’t matter because the budget for this record is about 80 million plus Interscope, Universal , Vivendi & Jimmy Iovine is behind it 100 percent with those Beats by Dre headphone money. It will be number 1 on Billboard by time the video is shot and they will keep it number one on every station until everyone knows all the words until the next single comes. Hate all you want its not gonna stop it! Detox is coming with a big budget behind it and everyone will have to hear it because they have too much money behind it!

    132. i’m feeling this without a doubt. but after all the wait and detox’s first single is only a two verse song, maybe we didn’t wait long enough.

    133. the truth it ain’t my fault these nggas fallin off:

2pac said Dr.Dre couldn’t do beats cause he was too busy sucking dick and eating pussy and it shows with this throw away beat this is wack Dre hire Mel man and Hi Tek to do your beats u washed up bruh

    134. Please don’t tell that dr dre fanbase is 30-40 years old….i am 18 years old from greece but i bet that noone loves dre music more than me…..

    135. If this is the 1st single off an album that took over a decade to make then this is a VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. When I 1st saw the name of he song I was like OK…KUSH…maybe Dre back to his chronic days but SAD TO SAY this track is not even worth a second listen. Like that Aaliyah song says. Dre needs to let himself off and try again.

Oh By the way was that fuckin Nate Dogg on the hook…..Come on Son (Ed Lover face)….fuck outta here!!

      1. nah it was dre’s artist named sly and wtf r u talking about this song is hot and if nate doggwere on it it would’ve been 10 times much better despite him having a stroke and it looks like hes going back

    136. Detox is to rap what Tommy is for rock. From what I’ve read Detox will pretty much be the rap version of a rock opera. A Rap Opera. Would figured Lupe’s lyricism would have pulled it off first. Most anticipated rap album of the decade.

    137. this drum beat sounds just like dj pooh “whoop whoop”….go ahead and youtube it and play it side by side with this song……dre is falling off and this is NOT coming from a Dre hater….this is coming from an ese that lives on the west coast 818 all day!!!!!!! It is just very familiar and all you west coast cats out here will definetly back me up on this one!!!! Shout out to DJ POOH!!!!!! and to Nate Dogg…get well my nigga……. we waiting for your return

“WHERE ALL MY WEST SIDE RIDERS AT WHOOP WHOOP”

    138. talk yo shit!! detox coming!! and about 5 million gon be listening!! and about 2 mill on the first week!! quote me!!

    139. I swear i will go through a pound the day that shit drop’s!Can’t wait ta hear Dre & Jigga.Fuck all you hater’s y’all are mad cuz you can’t provide ya family with grocieries!STILL D.R.E.

    140. We dont want Jay Z, Wayne, Drake, T.I, Jeezy… fuck that, we want westcoast artist, like Nipsey, Crooked, Kurupt, Game, 50 cent Eminem … Slim Da Mobster

      1. 50 is from new york? em is from detroit? none the less there both really dope, hiphop is going back to what it used to be finally! 50/Em/Dre/Game G-Unit/Shady/Aftermath 4 life

    141. Track is hot!! if you’re not feeling it then considered yourself a hater. keep doing you dre, snoop, akon the haters are all finally showing their faces.

    142. This song has life. At first I was like eh but it grew on me. Time is the real test and right now I still feel like it’s a little old school.

      1. Ya I had to listen to it a few times, but it’s definitely got old school qualities. Love the Dre and Snoop combo. Hope to hear more of them real soon.

    143. Everybody that’s buggin out sayin fuck dre or dre fell off ya’ll really need to shut tha fuck up real talk jus cuz an old school legend like dre is coming out with new hotness don’t mean ya’ll need to get ya panties in a bunch because gucci or waynes whack asses ain’t the topic of conversation,an for the cats talkin like this woould be better if nate dogg was on it instead of akon yea i agree 100% but for the cats who don’t know nate been reeaaall sick lately that’s why he ain’t been on no songs an for anybody sayin this is whack, this track is not the final mix of it an it’s still ill.

    144. This feels like 2001 mixed up with 2010. Definitely Dope. Hope Dre sticks with the team concept and gets ererybody involved…especially Coleworld!

    145. umm dre ddidnt write any lyrics for this whole album, that doesnt take away from the fuckin crazy beats he makes 4 stars cuz snoop said still i am tighter then the pants on will i am

      1. Dre didn’t write the lyrics to the majority of his tracks. He is a down ass nigga tho. Look at the credits in all of his albums. Still dre- sean carter wrote dre’s verse… kurupt writes for dre all the time.

    146. i like akon on this track, Only becuase every time i listen to it, i just imagine it being nate dogg and know that it would be sweet!

      1. yea and it should be nate dogg, and enough of this gay ass autotune. god damn. both these crazy can be playable but are questionable.

    147. New Dr. Dre Ft Snoop. First single off Detox. Not impressed at all by this crap! Sounds like a recycled beat, and akon on the chorus is terrible. I don’t care if its 2010. I expect way more from dre after waiting ten years for this album. I guess he sold out to commercial pop garbage, which was pointless cuz his fans just want that old gangster shit. Trying to make a rap album that appeals to both female and male audiences is a waste of time. Real rap music is not for females, and If they like it, it just means it sux. Real hip hop is to degrating for women to enjoy. Bring that shit back

      1. Pop garbage? did you actually listen to the song or just see it was Dr. Dre detox and assume it was 10 years in the making and it should cure a disease? This is real hiphop and on this song dre can relate to the new age and the old age at the same time as he will be getting radio play. get over yourself Dre brought it on this one, the beat is hard and its dope, respect good music when you hear it because we barely hear it anymore. Dre/Em/50 is the biggest treo to hit hiphop since Dre/Snoop/Pac

      1. hahaha u funny.. the only thing the soulja boy can do better than dre is sucking dick.. soulja boy is a fake bitch.. n yea bitch WEST side up n this bitch..

    148. No detox for me if it ain’t original and futuristic. This song ain’t original and sounds like it was made in 2005.

    149. Top Ten of the Year
      1. Eminem
      1. Kanye West
      2. Big Boi

        Should just stop making music:
Birdman, Nicki Mianja, Kesha , T-pain and Rick Ross

    150. i think about the single that dre should of had another verse on these weed song still good i dont think it needs akon in the background

    151. IM SO TIRED OF YALL DRE-DICK-RIDERS…I will admit Dre is a good producer but yall be giving dude way too much credit. If U a West Coast dude then gon head and support ya homie to the fullest. I feel ya. But lets be real Dre don’t do enuff to be getting as much mention as he do.
Eminem is not raw because of Dre’s beats. Snoop’s been being mad successful without Dre.
The game did all right without him, even if only for 1 album.
He worked with Pac and Pac didn’t like him (probably becuz he is notorious for workin super slow and Pac was a known Studio Rat.)
Daz even said Dre don’t do half the shit people give him credit for.
What I’m tryna say is when Dre does do something hot its becuz of the artists he works with. Why hasn’t Mr. Super Producer been able to break any new artists like Stat Quo, Nocturnal, Joell Ortiz, or any of the other hundred artists he’s signed over the years and never released an album for. HELL DRE EVEN FUCKED UP THE BUST RHYME’S SITUATION. You got people like Cube and Snoop tryna work wit Dre but this goofy finds time for DipSet. GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE. How you cant find time for Snoop and Cube but U got time for DipSet and time to be at Yankee Stadium wit JayZ. Yall should start honoring producers like Just Blaze and Swizz Beats. Producers who work with everybody and still be successful. Not some producer that piggy backs off otha people’s talents.

    152. Anyone else find it funny that the lead single off an album entitled “Detox” is a straight up weed anthem?

      I do.

    153. he lost it alright! hes trying to get so crazy with his drums that hes forgetting that his basslines were always the best part of his beats, sad

    154. Unfortunately, DRE is up against impossible odds. It’s been so long and the anticipation is so high it doesn’t matter what he releases people are going to be disappointed…but I like this track though..

    155. This is the shit Detox is gonna be sick fuck all of you dumb haters. I mean everyone is allowed to have an opinion but your opinions are shit.

    156. Wow. Is it me, or does it seem like every single rapper now a days just raps about weed? It kind’a gets old. Don’t get me wrong, it is an amazing plant. But shit, every single person in the rap industry finds new ways to talk about it…

      1. techinically weed is a drug, but it’s a very stimulating one.like i guarantee you em is smokes a blunt every once in a while to cope with his addiction..lol..but this shit is definitely a stoner’s anthem!been bumping this shit lately nonstop

    157. People bitching cause its another “weed” track. Me, i cant never have enough tracks to smoke to.

And people dissing cause it doesn’t sound like the ole Dre. Then this shit come out and people say “what 2010, another weed track?”

What the fuck you people want? Bi-polar bitches.

That said, this song’s ok. Drums are nice!

    158. Alot of ppl have replicated this dre sound in all these years but it sounds fresh again cause its coming from the person who perfected it. 10 years from the day/dre and we finally have some west coast music again

    159. Crazy joint! da best of 2010! dre is da shit! production is off the chain! take a gud listen to this joint its so fresh dam!

    160. reverbnation.com/astacks1215, this kid is real hip hop, check him out, snoop did his thing likin snoop and dre again!

      1. The beat would still be the same. A played out piano beat that sounds like it was made in 05. I want a fresh new original sound.

      2. except.

he had 2 strokes and cant walk or talk without a great struggle. gl getting his sound from him atm. stfu and realize akons probably the 2nd best thing he could have gotten

      3. People need to appreciate Akon more. Akon is very nice on this hook. Besides that Nate Dogg isn’t able to talk anymore because of he is paralysed after his heart stroke. I hope one day he will recover enough to sing again.

      4. for real though, we need Nate to show these young cats how its done, it aint a hit unless Nate Dogg singin on it.

    161. It’s Nate saying “Hold up, wait a minute, let me put some kush up in it” and “Inhale, exhale” lol. But yeah upon a 2nd listen this joint does knocks, it isn’t doing too bad on itunes right now either considering it just now got released onto it and hasn’t really been promoted at all. Of course he should have Em on any single he wants to be a top ten smash

    162. Def a Classic Dre beat. You can hear Scott Storch on the synths and Dre on the Keys. No Moog Synth like the first chronic but, kept the vibe in a new way. This shit is mixed and mastered like a THX quality soundtrack. I see why Dre started his own HD Earphone Company before this dropped. Dre is the black George Lucas

    163. i hope nate gets better soon….real soon. We need his music. bet this track woulda sounded at least 10 times hotter if he woulda done the chorus. But it is what it is, still a nice track

      1. Nate Dogg wont be coming back anytime soon. I read an interview last year from a dude that went to visit Nate Dogg. He said Nate is confined to a wheel chair, cant speak or communicate well at all. The two strokes he had have basically killed his brain at this point.

    164. shit….this shit is 10 times better than “I need a doctor” with Eminem. That’s because Dre actually produced this song. The other track he didn’t..which i have no idea why he didnt…

    165. Does anyone else agree with me that although your trying to feel the track, it just feels all over the place. Either have Akon or Nate Dogg (preferrably the latter) but not both, it messes up the rhythm….

    166. man all you akon lil wayne t pain nikki minaj fansssss listen upp

its cool music is music you can like that shit
but for gods sake dont make dre think its cool for him to release the next instrumental record for those people
WTF theres alot of people who just want dre, nate dog, snoop to do they’re thing again

so just stay out of this man this makes me sickkk

    167. Hope Snoop won’t be all over Detox with his corny style. He was cool in the 90’s but the last 10 years he’s a played out sell-out.

    168. at first i thought this was pretty weak song but the sounds of it are so expansive dre jsut made another classic beat. i wudnt mind him doing some songs without any rap on maybe just some singin to heighten the mood but his beats could stand alone

      1. He said in an interview not too long ago that he plans on releasing an album after detox of “how he thinks the different planets sound in our solar system, with a track for each planet.” I imagine its gonna be something to listen to when trippin or tryin to sleep hahaha

    169. This is quality. I hope the producers collab’n with other producers becomes a trend. Could you imagine a Dr. Ye album? A Just Dre? or Dr. Alchemist? Boggles the mind …

    170. Why is the mainstreme media trying to push Taylor Swift on us? They tried to push her during Monday Night Football, WTF? DETOX time! This track gets stronger the more you listen to it.

Could be longer though. Beat is tough.

    171. Every time I listen to this shit it sounds better. Crooked and COB really brought out the beat, and now this one sounds bomb.

    172. Hold UP!!! For the people that things it’s Nate dogg who’s saying hold up wait a minute, they are wrong! It’s timbaland think about it. Nice song except for akon gay hook.

    173. man, this shit does grow on u. first listen, i too thought it was all over the place and corny, but its my 4th listen, and i’m feelin this shit. the beat is a banger

    174. track is piff i was sleeping for a min but if i hear some more shit like this then im wit it…. check ya boi out

      facebook.com/malzmoney
      twitter.com/malzmoney

    175. This would of been so much better without Acorn, what Warren G or Nate working on something else…. doubt it

    176. In the end it kinda sounds like game saying something like “westcoast get your ass choked!” either way single! More pros than cons so Akon’s ugly voice doesn’t want to totally kill myself.

    177. Still that piano sound Dre?!?!?! Still rapping bout weed?!?!? Come with sum new crazy style Dre!! And no more annoying Akon please!!!

      1. Dre’s known for changing his sound every couple years. The fact that he’s still using this piano sound for bout 10 years now shows he has no inspiration to come with a fresh new sound.

      2. Ya’ll just not paying attention. Go listen to under pressure again and tell me dre hasn’t explored a new style. That ghetto techno sound just wasn’t embraced at all, had everybody bitching. But ya’ll bitch regardless..

      3. No, I don’t bitch regardless. I just expect banging innovative hip hop from Dre . Not techno and not something that sounds like he made 6 years ago.

    178. Damn, the song is crazy, put that shit in your car on max volume with the windows down and watch the whole block quake.

    179. how can you compare “i need a doctor” to this??? THIS IS FUCKING WEST COAST (minus akon, but hey he is still fucking better than eminem). i need a doctor sounds absolutely nothing like dre. if i was trying to listen to crazy musical shit i would pick up kanye…dre is about the west coast. bump this with your windows down, breath in that cali kush with some fresh cali air….

      1. Akon better then Slim…..Are you 13 or something? Come on MAAAANNNNNNNNNN……….That has to be a comment straight from a Lady Gaga fan or some shit, u can’t be serious.

    180. bestcoastyall u fkin crazy? akon better than eminem? get ur facts right dude…akon will never be better than em. he may be richer than him, but definitely doesnt put out better music than em does. kush is a dope song though

      1. How the fuck is Akon richer than Em? lmao are u serious ? . Plus he’s a singer and Eminem’s one the greatest rappers to do it. U can’t compare

    181. Man , He Can `t Bring the ‘WEST-COAST ‘ Back On Old Concepts ! Well All Noe What Weed Is ? We Need Some Enlightenment On How to Make The gang Situation In L.A. Better , Give Some Enlightenment On The Race Tension Between Black and Brown Gang Members In Los Angles , Letting The Youth Of Today Noe Who The Real Enemy Is And What To Bang For And who To Bang Against ! Fa Sho ! Keeping It Real ‘ WEST ‘ Not No Gimmick Shit Like Akon On The Hook ? That Shit Is Wack … Street Positivity To the Fullest Is what we Need To Fill The Street Sound waves . Peace To All Los Angeles Gang Members …Try To Keep Positive And keep The Peace … And Good Luck 2 ‘ K-Dot ‘ Who I Hear Is Getting Signed By Dr.Dre …

    182. Finally the good doc has returned to save the game.Give a fuck if its about weed.Dre makes party anthems. Shit back when 2001 came out thats all that mattered that and the first blackout album was what we rocked to for like a year straight. I dont wanna see Dre get all political and wrapped up in all that shit.Im ol skool i love ol skool.Rap been goin the wrong muthafuckin way.Bring it back doc bring it back.GGGGG G Funk.Put on the surgical gloves and bring this shit back to life. And give a fuck Akon on the hook is straight cash homey

    183. Might not be the full version, sounds like the game might b featured on this track. Theres a part where u hear his voice, n that “inhale, exhale” part might be drake

    184. yall wack telling me you wanted a different concept like preaching about problems in the ghetto

that is NOT a first single, who knows what the album will talk about

      1. I was hoping for a concept album like Dre’s in a coma and he hears music in his coma. And like on the last song he awakes from a coma. Some real dark shit.

      2. who knows detox will be about

what ive played out in my head is that hes detoxed for most of the first records and then one of the last records is kush when he relapses lol

    185. Coming from a producers standpoint, the track bangs. Expected nothing less from Dre. Personally, I would have liked to hear Nate Dogg do the hook instead of Akon. Lastly, kinda dissappointed that Dre is STILL talkin about smokin’. When do we grow up? Wanna see hip-hop mature into some grown man $hit one day…

      1. Nate Dogg is recovering from a stroke. I’m pretty sure Dre would’ve picked him. And Dre says himself that he thinks that talking about smoking weed is played out and to not expect any more tracks like Kush on Detox.

    186. do this dudes that want nate dogg instead akon realize that he is recoverin from a stroke???
      this song is dope

    187. great track. One thing i only have to mention is that Dre sometimes dont give the sense on the track that the chorus is coming.like kush or Still Dre etc.he suddenly jumps from the verse to the hook

    188. i dont smoke weed or sees cus itll give a nigga brain damage and brain damage on the mic doesnt manage nothing but making the sucker in you eaqual dre is a sucker

      1. I want you to read that to yourself and look for the irony in you own comment. LOL…Niggas make themsleves look real stupid trying to sound smart on the internet.

    189. dre said he was gonna work out for the last five years just to get in shape for his last cd. maybe not the kind of promotion we need, but the track is crazy, to me it’s the detox track we’ve been waiting for. hiphopdx kids need to understand this isn’t kudi or lupe…it’s dre…you know the guy who made the last two “chronic” cds? forget the “dre needs to be deep” shit, a weed track is the perfect mix as the intro successor to his last two albums. the rest will come. now if dre could only get j. cole on this album somehow it would put give us all an ace for the album and 2011.

    190. The fact that Dre didn’t produce this is fucked up. It means he thinks he can’t produce something better than this average song. There’s a chance he has no inspiration anymore so he will ask other producers to produce Detox. That would be a sad day in hip hop.

    191. SONG. GOES. HARD.

Dre and Snoop show all the little kiddies just how the fuck real rap is supposed to sound like.
