Lil Keed‘s mother has prompted excitement among fans of the late rapper by revealing that a new single and posthumous project by YSL rapper is on its way.

Keed’s mother, Tonnie Woods-Reed, shared a note on her son’s Instagram page on Monday (January 30) outlining plans to share his unreleased music with the world, starting with a new single called “Long Way to Go,” which will arrive this Friday (February 3).

Lil Keed (born Raqhid Jevon Render) passed away unexpectedly at just 24 years old. He was laid to rest during an emotional ceremony in Atlanta, which was attended by family, friends and loved ones.

While rumors swirled around the cause of his death, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled earlier this month that the YSL affiliate died from natural causes due to eosinophilia, which is defined “a higher-than-normal level of eosinophils.”
